Sit is a mutant. He can't change into anything but a black liquid. Because of that the other changelings treat him as worthless and try to kill him from time to time. Just his abillity to take over the bodies of others by entering them in his liquid form and his amazingly sharp and creative mind keep him alive until he finally decides to escape the hive and the danger for his life.
