Ponies in my Middle School
Wait.....FLUTTERSHY?
Previous ChapterI was in the presence of boredom itself...Math class. Ugh! Stupid math, so help me math will wish it was never born once I came face to face with it. I put my backpack on the edge of my chair and lay my head sideways on my desk. "Attention class," everyone looked as we saw the teacher by the door. "We have a new student this year," we were surprised, Mrs. Headley would never introduce a new student, she'd just have him take a seat and treated him like he was just a student, but no! She actually stood up and INTRODUCED them? "She's a bit....different than most so...just treat her like a good student, ok?" Every one nodded. I just kept my head tilted sideways for a while and then lay my chin on my desk so I was positioned near the front. I didn't really care that much about new people, I just go with the.... I heard gasps of confusion spread across the room. I was immediately alerted and shot my head up. And a gasp slipped from my mouth, too. A pony, A PONY! An..and she was SO familiar, too. Pink mane, yellow body, cute gleaming turquoise eyes... YES! It was just too awesome to realize or experience in a young Pegasisters life EVER! This time my glee was replaced from utter shock. It was FLUTTERSHY! FLUTTERSHY! In this very room!
Big, dark-framed glasses appeared over her eyes. She looked dawn and shuffled a hoof trying to get out of her mind that everyone was watching her, or in her case, everyPONY. My mouth hung....two words....WIDE. OPEN. The yellow pony shifted her hooves back in forth to the front. She tried not to make eye contact with anyone as she passed.
I cannot tell you how incredible this is! Ha! Best. Math class. In the history. Of EVER! I didn't know if I should say hi or go up and hug her to death which would really either freak her out or not to mention embarrass me. But still. She was there! I have no idea how, but she was THERE! She was ACTUALLY THERE!
She finally reached the front of the room. "H-Hellllo there." Low mutters came from her mouth. "I'm, uh, Fluttershy, and.." She gulped. "I hope to enjoy a-a good year with you...a very.... Nice...year." She hung her head low as she looked around. The expressions on everyone's faces made it look to her as if she did something wrong. She whimpered and trotted back to her seat, which, oh my gosh, was right next to me!

Ok, Jess, this is your chance. Fluttershy's right down the hall, don't mess up. I took a big gulp and started walking toward her. Why couldn't it just be Pinkie Pie or something? Fluttershy is...shy. This was going to be hard. I was closer to her.
"Hi." I finally said. Right as I said it, she spun her head around and tripped over her hooves. She got back up and kept her distance from me as she backed up. I cleared my throat. "Um, I'm Jessica Thompson." You know that weird feeling that it seems so awkward introducing yourself? I was having that feeling.
"I'm, uh, Fluttershy." She muttered. I knew that.
"Do you...do you want to be..friends?" Yup, there's the weird feeling again.
She shifted her head down. "Ok," she whispered.
"So... I'll see you tomorrow, I guess." I walked down the hall and saw her close her locker behind me. That was awkward, but easier than I thought.
