Chapter 1: The Beginning
Load Full StoryNext ChapterThe sun was shining, and the birds were chirping, and foals from all around the village were getting ready for the first day of school after the summer break. Though, some foals did not want to go in the first place. "Big Brother! Big Brother! Wake up!" Shadow said, through the locked door of Darks room.
Dark yawned, and replied, "W-Wha... what Sis?" he said, as he got off the bed, stretched, and grunted from his back popping. "I said wake up silly! Its the first day of school!" Shadow said, giggling afterwards. He groaned, he really hated the school days, especially after summer, or fall break, do to the fact that he won't get to sleep In like normal. "Alright, alright, I'm coming, Sis."
DarkLight, or Dark, was a chubby little colt, with a black mane that flowed freely over his left eye, He was also a earth pony, and was fairly strong for his age. and a solid white body color, which seemed to shine in the light. Dark looked at his rump and sighed. He was one of the few foals in the village who did not have a cutie mark yet, though, he was not in a rush to get one just yet.
As he opened the door, his sister was there, beaming at him with a smile so cute, it could melt a heart of stone. He smiled and rubbed her head, and which she giggled childishly. ShadowShine, or Shadow, was a small filly, and not thin, but not fat either. She had a mane which covered half her right eye, and also went down her neck. Dark thought she was a pegasi when she was just a filly, over some bones that were miss placed, but after awhile, it was confirmed she was an earth pony.
They both went into the kitchen and saw two bowls of pancakes, some orange juice, and there mother, ShadowSight, doing the dishes from the night before. They got up on the chairs, and there mother turned around wit ha smile on her face. "Good morning you two!" she said, beaming down at them. They both smiled at their mother "Good morning mom!' they both said at the same time.
Their mother smiled, and passed there backpacks to them, and the bowls that contained the pancakes and the cups that contained the orange juice were left without a crump or drop left, "I hope my little twins have a good day today!" Sight said. In truth, Dark and Shadow were twins, though, they were born on separate years and days, and that one was a colt, and the other was a filly. Dark groaned at the word school, but Shadow giggled in joy, for this was her first year.
Sight smiled at the two, and said to Dark "Oh, don't worry, Sweetie, I am sure that it isn't THAT bad." Dark rolled his eyes, and smiled "True, but it messes with my sleeping time." Sight giggled a little, as she walked them both to school
