But don't let appearances fool you, they can be as fierce as any dragon. Yet, there not here to fight out our battles, but to whisper from our heart, reminding that it's us. It's every one of us that holds the power over the worlds that we create.
It was a rainy day, and a young mare sat on her bed anxious and worried. The doctor walked in the doorway of her room and looked at her in the eyes. Fluttershy's eyes began to fill with tears as she saw the slight movement of the doctor's head shaking. She climbed out of bed quickly and shoved past him.
As she galloped into her mother's bedroom, she saw her step-father covering her mother's face with a blanket. She stopped and looked at her mother's bed and gave out deep breaths. Her sister trotted behind her and sobbed with her.
"No!" Fluttershy's sister cried out. Her sister tried to go to her mother, but Fluttershy held her back and cried quietly. Her sister fell to her knees and so did Fluttershy.
Their step-father walked from the room and straightened his tie, with a slight grin. Fluttershy's eyes were filled with tears, as she looked at her Step-father and hugged her sister tightly. Thunder clashed loudly.
Fluttershy's sister threw a rose into her mother's grave that was already six feet in the ground. Fluttershy embraced her sister, and saw her life-less face. Fluttershy looked up at her step-father and saw his grin turn into a fake face of sadness. He took a shovel and piled dirt into the hole.
Fluttershy's Step-father looked proudly at a document cover; Last Will & Testament . He grabbed a pocket knife from a little compartment that had a gun, jewelry, a pocket watch, and a packet of matches. He used the knife to slice of a seal on the front of the packet and slid the document out carefully. He clenched his teeth and began to read anxiously. He saw 2 words that he hoped not to see ever. My two daughters , the money he so patiently waited for was to be given to the two brats he hated ever so much.
He threw everything on his desk, to the ground and chugged large amounts of alcohol. He tilted it and let it slide down his throat.
Fluttershy sat next to her sister on her bed, and smiled softly at her. She kissed her sister softly on the forehead.
Her step-father had made a fire in his fire place and threw his bottle of alcohol into the flames. The flame grew larger and he roared in frustration.
Fluttershy left her sister's room and closed the door quietly behind her. She walked into the hallway and looked to her right. Her step-father had his hooves stretched out, blocking Fluttershy from that direction. She ran away quickly and slammed her door shut, but as soon as she could do that, her step-father struggled to keep the door open enough to get her. He grabbed her shirt and a button from the shirt, fell to the floor. She punched him hard and drew blood.
He pushed her back and she fell onto her rum. Her step-father stood over her with a furious look. He looked in the hall-way over at her sister's room. Fluttershy soon caught on and also looked at her sister's bedroom door. She sat up and raced to her door, but was too late when her step-father locked her in her room.
Fluttershy looked through the key-hole and watched as her step-father opened her sister's room. Her sister woke up and climbed out of bed. Her step-father straightened his tie and looked at Fluttershy's key-hole, and smirked. But her sister ran past her step-father and raced down the hall way. Fluttershy got up and looked at her window.
Fluttershy's sister backed up into a closet and watched the door slam. She had locked the door, and her step-father was banging on it, trying hard to open it. She sat down and wrapped her arms around her knees, crying into them deeply. A light-bulb hanged above her and it shook from her step-fathers slams into the door.
Fluttershy was soaking wet from the crazy rain and was climbing on the side of her house, grabbing pipes to find a window that would let her into the house.
Finally, her step-father had used his back-legs to kick open the door. Fluttershy's sister looked up and feared the most she had in her whole life. The door began to creak close, but her step-father slammed it open and looked at her devishly.
Fluttershy hopped down from her house and landed next to her car. She grunted and stood up quickly, but slipping in the mud that had produced in the rain.
Her step-father turned his head slowly. Fluttershy raised a gun slowly. Her step-father held up his hoof and walked in a circle motion, with a bullet threatening to enter his skull. He lowered his hoof and smiled gently, it being fake. She fired the gun and closed her eyes tightly. She shot the light-bulb in the closet and the glass shattered everywhere. Her step-father ground his teeth and raised his hooves back up.
She didn't miss him, but only shot his arm this time. He put his other hoof on his arm and grunted in pain. He stumbled to the ground and Fluttershy ran to her sister in the closet. She saw her sister lye on the ground and she picked her up by her head and tried comforting her. She felt something wet touch her right hoof, and she released her hand from one side of her sister's head.
She looked at her hoof, and saw blood covered it. She cried out and cried onto her sister's head. Her step-father grabbed the phone and dialed for the police. He had the phone to his ear, but quickly dropped at when Fluttershy threatened him with a gun again. He raised his hoofs in the air, on his knees, very innocent-like. She sobbed and quickly trotted away in tears, dropping the gun.
Police arrived and shined their flashlights everywhere. They found a yellow mare, with a dirty pink mane kneeling over her mother's grave. She turned her head and her make-up was running and her face was stained with tears.
Her step-father made gestures and pointed around the house, while talking to a police colt. The police nodded his head and talked to him more.
Fluttershy sat on the back of a ambulance car and was given a shot while having a jacket cover her shoulders. Police colts surrounded her and put their hooves on her shoulder.
The next day, she was asleep in a car. Her step-father driving her to a place unknown.
We can deny our angels exist, convince ourselves they can't be real. But they show up anyway, at strange places at strange times. They can speak through any character you can imagine. They'll shout through demons if they have to. Daring us, challenging us to fight.
Two colts opened the car door to the black car Fluttershy and her step-father arrived in. One stallion grabbed Fluttershy by the arm and took her carefully out of the car. Her step-father slammed the door behind him and let his black jacket cover his shoulders. The one colt grabbed Fluttershy by both her arms, and held them behind her back. Fluttershy struggled and tryed to pry loose from his strong grip.
He dropped her and she landed on the hard cement to her knees. She had both hooves on the ground and was looking down. She let out a sob and was picked up by the other stallion. She stood up and was held the same way before. A sign cement block read, "Lunar House, for the mentally insane, Canterlot" .
Fluttershy was walked through the opening of the dungeon-like building, and the doors were castle like. They were covered with soaking wet rain and dark-green moss. Fluttershy's step-father opened the large doors and Fluttershy being held by the stallions, came after him. The stallion behind closed both the doors and continued forward.
A window with a small opening, had a bell on the side. Fluttershy's step-father put his hoof on it and released quickly. A nurse in a chair turned around in her chair and looked at the man with a cold-hard-poker face. She slid a clip-board with a piece of paper clipped to the top, in the opening of the window. He took it from the window and scanned it with his eyes, and took a pen out of his jacket.
Fluttershy stood outside a gate next to the window and looked back. She saw a sad-looking couple sitting in two chairs. She saw the colt in the chair caress a hat sadly. The nurse pressed her hoof on a golden button that was worn out and it made a loud buzzing sound. The gates slid open and Fluttershy was forced to look forward as the colts shoved her forward. Her step-father mumbled the answers to the form he filled.
"She's female...and she's 20..." He said quietly as he wrote the words quickly. He came across a section where he was to put check-marks to the things that made her mental, and unsafe to others. He put a check mark next to, Violent, Danger To Others, and Unable to adapt to "social situations". The stallions led her to another door that was also locked. Fluttershy heard the buzzing again and door slid open. A nurse walked down the hall and stopped in front of Fluttershy.
She held a pair of white clothing, and gave it to Fluttershy. She then took a brief-case from one of the colts and continued down the hall. The stallions, Fluttershy, and her step-father filling out the slip, continued to the next room.
As they entered the next hallway, it was dim and damp in it. There was also a white colt standing beside another. He seemed to be waiting for them. Behind them was a gate. All of them were across from the white stallion, and Fluttershy glared at the colt. The stallion held his hand out between the two colts that were holding Fluttershy.
"Your the father?" The white colt asked in a rough voice. Fluttershy's step-father handed him the clip-board.
"Step-father," her step-father corrected the stallion.
"That's right, we talked on the phone," the colt said shaking his head. The stallion had blood-shot eyes and dark makeup, and His mane was slicked back. Fluttershy's step-father made a quick smile that faded back into a inpatient expression. Fluttershy looked at his covered chest, below was a golden key that reflected off the fading lights. Her attention went back to his face, when he took the key and put in the lock in the gate behind him.
"Okay, come with me. We're going to take her to the theater," the white stallion said while opening the gate and holding it for them all, "Doctor Rarity is going to want a look at her, likes to see all the new girls,". He shook his head and closed the door and locked it behind the rest of them.
"Don't worry dad, everything's going to be fine. We've got everything under control around here," he mumbled, "okay, come on, follow me," he said as he walked in the front of them.
Fluttershy and the others walked by banging doors, with muffled laughter. She looked around not scared a lot, but more sad.
"So this is what we call "theater"," he said, looking at them. He used his back-hooves to open the door, and turned back around and led them into a window lit room with tables occupied with many other girls. There was a stage in the back of the room and a girl stood on top of it. Fluttershy looked around and was worried again.
"LIAR!" a mare yelled out, and flipped the table she was sitting at. A bunch of cards flew into the air, and another girl across the table stood up. They both fought and pulled each other's manes.
"Girls," the stallion yelled out. One of the colts holding Fluttershy offered to help.
"Yea, go," the stallion said and pointed at them. Fluttershy's guard ran to the girls and pulled them apart.
"Girls! Behave," He yelled out again. He looked behind him to Fluttershy's step-father and motioned for him to come. Her step-father trotted off the stairs and followed the stallion.
"Lin! Amy! Sit down!" he yelled at them once more. The guards were sitting them down.
"Sit," one of them said in a very cold-hard voice. The white colt went back to Fluttershy's stepfather and began their conversation. Fluttershy stood in front of them and could hear every word they said.
"So the fillies use this place to be social. Doctor Rarity, she's good at dealing with the fillies's problems, therapy. It's quite a show, touching them or beating them. Doctor Rarity thinks it seems to help them, I don't know if does or doesn't. After a little bit of business, she'll be in paradise, if you know what I mean. And all of your troubles, will be, over," the white colt said with a smile in his voice.
Fluttershy looked around and saw the mare on stage again, sitting in a old bed, with the wallpaper being very aged as well.
"I'm taking a really big risk here, so it's going to have to be 2g even," the white colt said with a sigh.
"What the hell are you talking about? Don't try to cheat me, we had a deal," he said clenching his teeth.
"That's what I said, father. I'm not going to tell you what to do, clearly your a colt that can take care of himself. I don't know what you did to this filly, and frankly, I don't want to know. but what are you going to tell the others when the questions come sweeping around? Their going to know more details," he persuaded Fluttershy's step-father.
"Yea," her step-father said and reached in his pocket.
Fluttershy looked at the stage again and saw a white mare, with her purple main pulled up in a bun, on the bottom of the stage.
"I'm going to start the music, you are safe. It's all, safe. Now relax, and just let go," Doctor Rarity said in a soft reassuring voice.
The mare on stage was a lavender purple pony, with a dark purple mane. She swallowed her fear, and listened to the music that Doctor Rarity put on. The tune of the song in the beginning was haunting and the lyrics ever so hope-less.
"Now, here's the other thing. I don't have a doctor on the staff that does lobotomize, but, there just happens to be one scheduled to come in, He'll be here in five days. So I'll just forge the signature a dozen times," the white stallion said to her step-father.
Fluttershy looked down with the worried look she had on. She paid more attention to the stage and ignored the rest of their conversation.
"It's just like we talked about, you control this world," Rarity said to the lavender pony.
"I told the police she went crazy when her mother died, the truth is a little more complicated," her step-father said to the stallion. Fluttershy made a small smile to the mare on stage and looked at her.
"Let the pain go, let the hurt go, let the guilt go," Rarity told the purple mare. The mare looked at Fluttershy with questioning look.
"What your imagining right now, that world you control, that place can be as real as any pain," Rarity went on. Fluttershy gave her a sad look and listened to Rarity's words.
"What about the memory thing?" Her step-father asked the white colt.
"Don't worry, she won't even remember her name when I'm done with her," The stallion said.
With your feet in the air, and your head on the ground...try this trick, spin it. Your head will collapse, but there's nothing in. But you ask yourself, where is my mind? I was swimming in the Caribbean, animals were hiding behind the rocks. Except a little fish, but they told me he swears he was trying to talk to me, to me. Way in the water, see it, swimming...
She was taken through the halls, one pony that opened the gate, carried a lighter. He banged it against a window and the gate opened.
She went by a room, in a line with other ponies, that had a map in the middle. She looked at it, the white stallion being in front of it. The stallion looked back at her and moved aside to talk to somepony else. The line was shoved forward and went down the hall.
She was chopping vegetables in the kitchen and saw a cyan pony empty a pot of onions. Her face was dirty and she had an apron on. A brown pony with a chef's hat on top of his bald-head threw a knife on the table. She looked at it and continued to chop her dark orange carrot.
She was scrubbing a toilet and was on her knees. the white stallion stood over her and the key on his neck dangled in front of her. The stallion looked at her and she looked over her shoulder, and kept scrubbing, her pink ponytails bouncing.
She lied down on a leather futon and had red eyes, from crying. She had her hooves on her stomach and Doctor Rarity sat in a chair in front of her. Rarity shook her head and looked pity at her, her legs crossed.
She was being strapped in her chair by a couple of nurses and they stood aside as a light-brown stallion with overalls and white shirt came in. He pulled curtains to blind people from seeing. He took a tool from a tray filled with water and hovered it above her eye. She looked side to side with her pupils and panicked. There was a poster on the wall and it showed a picture and it was titled, "Lobotomy vertical cross section" . The colt had the tool hovering above her eye, he had a tiny hammer and prepared to enter it into her eye...
"Stop! Get that thing away from me, get it away from me!" The purple mare yelled out. She was on the stage strapped to a chair. She had a pink wig on and the fake prop of a lobotomizer, hovering over hey eye. She breathed in and out and continued.
"And shut off that damn music!" She yelled out. The music stopped and the purple filly looked at the actress for the lobotomizer.
"Undo these straps. Don't forget my ankles," She said, then two fake nurses quickly helped her. The lobotomizer looked off the stage and shrugged, the light glaring off her glasses.
"Hurry," the purple mare said once more.
"Is there a problem Twilight?" Doctor Rarity yelled from the bottom of the stage. Twilight got off her rum and trotted to the center of the stage and took deep breaths.
"This is a joke, right?" Twilight said while take off the wig, and revealing her dark purple mane in a single ponytail. She threw it on the chair and paced the stage.
"Don't you get the point of this? It's to turn ponies on. I get the sexy little school girl, I even get the helpless mental patient right? That can be hot! But what is this, lobotomized vegetable!? How about, a little something commercial, for celestia's sake?
"Twilight Sparkle! Could you be a darling, and come here please?" The white stallion yelled from the other side of the room. He stood with Fluttershy with a pair of clothes, and her stepfather in a black jacket with a cross on his neck. Twilight was kneeling on the stage, talking to Rarity. She looked up and looked back down. She slid off stage and walked backwards.
"You gotta help me. I'm the star of the show, remember?" Twilight said with a graceful gesture, and turned around, trotting straight towards the group.
"I'll figure something out," Rarity said back. "Alright fillies, let's wrap it up," Rarity yelled out.
"Twilight Sparkle, I want you to meet somepony. This--", the wait stallion started to say, but Twilight interrupted.
"Don't tell me, The priest brought you here from the orphanage to lose your virginity, right? Oh, let me rephrase that, to sell it," Twilight Sparkle said with a warm smile. The white colt laughed.
"Yea, that's right," the white stallion said.
"How original," Twilight Sparkle said with a smile.
"The high-roller's coming for her in five days, he's just going to pick some flowers..." the white colt said while twirling Fluttershy's pink ponytail. She snapped her head the other way with a sad look. "And, he's going to pay a lot of money for that!" He raised his voice with a happy tone.
"Lucky you," Twilight Sparkle said.
"Twilight Sparkle, honey, could you do me a favor and show this little flutter shy around? Give her a little tour of the establishment please?" The white colt said.
"Blue, you saw the show. okay? I don't have the time, let my sister take her. Dash!" She yelled out! A cyan blue mare stood across the room, talking to rarity. She looked her head towards them and was dressed as a nurse. She took off her blond-bun wig and let her hoof run through her hair. She trotted towards them, and gave a smile.
Twilight Sparkle put her arm around Dash's shoulder and looked at her.
"Show her around sis," Twilight said, then left her to Fluttershy. Dash looked at Fluttershy and smiled warmly at her.
"Alright, come on," Dash said and moved her head to the left. "Let's go,". Fluttershy looked at her with a worried look. "Don't worry! I don't bite very hard," she said with a cocky grin. Fluttershy walked towards Dash. Her step-father put a hoof on her shoulder.
"Goodbye, my dear," her step-father said kindly. Fluttershy spit in his eye.
"Celestia!" He put a hoof on his face and rubbed it. Dash, along with several other girls, giggled at him. "You'll get what you deserve when the high-roller comes!" He yelled out at Fluttershy. Blue restrained him and told him to calm down.
"I will not calm down! Did you see what she did? I hope ya rot in here!" Fluttershy's step-father yelled again.
Dash held Fluttershy's hoof and took her out of the room laughing.
"Your gonna be okay, it just takes a little while to get used to," she smiled. "So, how'd you become an orphan? Oh, I get it. It's complicated right?" She whispered the last part. "Well we all have our stories in here, mines...complicated," she stopped in her tracks and sighed. She showed her inside a room and plopped on a heart-shaped bed. Fluttershy remained in the door opening.
"These are the rooms where we take the clients, there's fresh towels in all the bathrooms and--Turn that on," she said while pointing to a switch next to the door. Fluttershy flipped it on and Dash got up and sat back down. The bed moved counter-clockwise slowly.
"Blue, owns the club, and we my dear-are the main attractions," she laughed softly. She stuck her hooves out and wiggled them. "Ta-da!" she laughed. She got up and turned the switch off.
"The club's a front for her his business. Guns, gambling, medications, special favors..." Dash went on. She looked at Fluttershy and started to talk in a low voice. "He brings in his clients, and we make them feel, you know--special," Dash said.
"New girl!" Dash yelled out and the buzzing of a gate opened. A gate opened and Dash pushed the door aside for the both of the.
"This is our back stage," she said while closing the gate behind Fluttershy. "It's just for us, okay, if you bring any clients back here blue's gonna get pissed," she said walking her through the hallway. "Uh, cleaning closet," she said in a sick voice. "You'll find all the mops, brooms, disinfectants..." She said while opening the closet and flipping the light switch. Fluttershy stuck her head in the closet and looked around. "New girls get cleaning duties, I don't make the rules," she said and closed the door and turning the light switch off. "And if you don't do what our told, Blue locks us in here until we become a little bit more, cooperative. Don't worry. It's not gonna happen to you," Dash said while walking her down the hallway again.
Dash went by two push in and push out doors and stopped there for a moment. A brown donkey was roughly chopping dark colored carrots with a large chef's knife. He was bald, and seemed to cover it with a chef's hat.
"This is the kitchen," Dash said disturbed while looking through the small plastic windows in the doors. The chef looked at Dash and made a smooch with his lips.
"We all work in here," she said disgusted. Fluttershy looked through the window and felt sick to her stomach too. The chef smiled and continued to chop the carrots. A loud bell rang, and the two of them looked at each other. "Time for rehearsal," Dash said and led her through the hallways.
"She looks nice," A pink mare said softly while holding a bar on a mirror and stretching.
"She looks stuck up to me," A orange mare said back.
"No, she's scared. I feel sorry for her..." The pink mare replied.
"Pinkie, you feel sorry for everypony! Remember when you first got here? Nopony felt sorry for you," She ended the discussion.
"Don't get too attached to her, okay?" Twilight said to the both of them. "Blue's saving her for the high-roller," she said quietly. The orange mare laughed.
"She's no virgin," The orange filly said. Dash walked in the dancing room with Fluttershy.
"Fluttershy, that's Pinkie, Applejack, and you've already met my sister Twilight," Dash said while smacking her rum.
"Watch yourself," she said while still stretching.
"Yeah, come on you guys, give her a break. She hasn't done anything to you guys," Dash said while rolling her head around.
"You best friends now?" Twilight asked Dash in a sarcastic voice.
"Will you just let me finish my tour please?" Dash said back with a smile. Twilight Sparkle turned around and continued to stretch. "Thank you," she said getting no reply. She turned around and shook her head at Fluttershy. Dash stretched her groin. "Everypony gets a dance, a routine. We practice it, we practice it, we practice it, and then stallions come to watch us perform--and is they like what they see...well, you'll see tonight," Dash said. Fluttershy nodded her head, and took a deep breath.
A crowd of many stallions filled the theater. Rarity stood on stage with a sparkly dress, her mane down. She had matching gloves that sparkled too. five feet next to her was Blueblood, in a white tuxedo and black pants. He wore eye shadow and was holding a old fashioned microphone. There was also a live band, that stood to the side of the stage.
"Good evening, gentle-colts. We've got a great night in store for you! I see a lot of new faces out there, and some more familiar ones," he winked and went on, "So i'm not going to yammer on too long! I want you all to sit back, enjoy the service, the s-s-scenery..." he said while looking at Rarity's backside lovingly, "But most of all, enjoy the show!" He said with a big grin. Rarity hit the stage with her hoof and turned around. "Hit it!" Blueblood finished and the band started to play up-hype jazz....
