It’s the Cake Twins Birthday coming up, and they’ve really grown entirely. Learning to speak, retaining most of their baby abilities, and almost beginning to start school soon. It truly is a big stepping stone and an exciting step in their lives. And they’ve received so many gifts. Clothes, Books of knowledge, Animal toys, and an amazing party set up for them, one unique gift was a large book filled with epic tales of various heroic ponies that the two fell in admiration and adoration.

But alas, their best day turned to their worst… When their parents lay lifeless in the kitchen, and everything they enjoyed shattered. A funeral was made, Sugar Cube Corner was bought off, and even the Equestrian Castle was challenged and ridiculed. The twins lived in misery with what they had remained… Life became hell for them, until the book of heroes spoke out to them at their wits end, where two entities arose and became the twins’ guardians. From there on, the twins and their new friends began to discover more about the dark secrets within their beloved land, and the mysterious origin of the book and the heroes within in order to push through and survive the dark hardships of life.
