Objective: Mourn over a lost friend

One year.

One year ago, Rainbow Dash died in the take back of Equestria. I only wish she was here to see it now, just as glorious as it was when the rest of my friends were around. I stared at the stone in front of me, unaware of the princess sneaking up behind me.

"You miss her, don't you?" Celestia asked me

"I do. I miss her like a sister. She was the last of my friends, and I didn't even get to talk to her much."

"We mustn't blame ourselves in times like this, she wouldn't want that. There was no way of you knowing how little you would see her before she passed."

"Princess...?"

"Yes Twilight?"

"Do you think, that...somewhere...Rainbow Dash is in a better place?"

"I know it. Not only that, but she died doing what she always dreamed of, taking back Equestria. She was found by a piano you know, she was playing music during the battle."

"What song?"

"Soarin was there, he said it was Silent Night."

"Heh, that's kinda cheesy."

"Why?"

"She always did like silence..."

Celestia stared blankly at the tombstone with me, thinking of the good times she had with the person beneath us. A crowd had formed around us, and Luna started with the opening of the annual mourning of the dead. This was an event that was held in honor of those who passed during the take back of Equestria, but all I cared about was Rainbow Dash. So many died that day, but I only cared about one. Funny...how things worked that way.
