Loki - Origin of Deception

„I wish, we could stay in human world longer.“ said young colt with black mane,  green eyes and grey fur, to zebra, cooking something in a cottle.

„I told you, that the portal is opened only for one day, every several years.“  She answered.

Not long ago, both zebra and colt used mystical lake in Everdark forest to travel into another dimension, where they both had human counterparts.

„It was so much fun play with Loki, I didn´t know that I am such good companion.”

“Sometimes.  Do you have those herbs, that I told you to bring two days ago?”

“Yes! They are over there. It is so nice that Mrs. Chrysalis will come to visit us. It´s so much fun with her.”

“I am pretty sure that she will tell you some of her stories. Now Loki go play somewhere and don´t bother me, so I have that potion ready on time.”

„OK, mom.“

So Loki went to his room, in their small hut and lyied on bed. He was seriously bored. After they came back from human world, Loki realized how much fun it was playing with his other self. It would be nice to go somewhere, where is more ponies like him. Lost in thoughts filly felt asleep.

He was awakened by voices from the other room and when Loki opened door, he saw Queen Chrysalis, having chat with his mom.

“Greetings Mrs. Chrysalis, sorry that I didn´t welcome you earlier.” said with smile.

“Hi Loki. I was just talking with your mother about you.”

“Yes?”

“We understand that it has to be boring for young pony to stay at home all the time, so what would you say, on going to

school in Changliville?”

Loki almost jumped up to the ceiling with happiness, but he calmed down.

“That would be great, but I don´t know if mom agrees.” said looking at zebra.

“I don´t mind, it is big opportunity for you and you are old enough to take care of yourself.”

“Amazing! So I´ll go pack some things.”

In his room he took bag, some his favourite toys and most important – silver dagger with carved snakes on it. He found it long time ago in ancient ruins.

After farewell with his mom, he and Queen Chrysalis started their trip to Changliville.

“What will I do in Changliville, after I finish school?”

“Whatever you want, I am sure that you´ll find something entertaining to do.”

“I´d like to serve you Ms. You told me all those stories when I was younger and I think, that it could be fun for me.”

Chrysalis laughed and scratched filly on head.

“Not everypony can serve me, you have to be really talented to do so.”

“I am! I am great liar, and every queen need somepony like that, right?”

“Liar you say? That is nice talent. But you still have to prove yourself.” She said now with serious face.

“I will, mylady, see this dagger?” Loki holded it in front of her eyes. “I will leave this on place of my work, so you could see that I am not lying right now.”

“I trust you, if you manage to impress me, I will make you my second personal student!”

“Thank you, I promise, that you will not be disappointed.”

“Good morning class.” said older pony to group of kids sitting in room. “Today is special day, because we have new student! This is Loki and he moved here from Everdark forest.”

Nopony seemed to care, which was for Loki disappointing, but he was confident.

I will have good time here, no matter what.

So he went sit to empty desk, he was watching teacher, but listening, what others are whispering.

“You see? He has no cutimark! That´s lame.” whispered one kid to another.

“Yea, blankflank.” answered and said it to another one.

Lesson past away, break started and Loki was waiting what will happen. Even though he grew up only with mother, Loki from human world was doing school and explained him how bullies act.

“Look at you, you should be at kindergarten.” said somepony standing next to him.

Loki stared at him.

“May I ask why?” asked with cold voice.

“Heh, blankflanks don´t belong here. You should go play with kids like you.” Chuckled bully.

“Oh yes? Well I am happy without cutiemark and you know why? Because I am free and my destiny can be whatever I´d like. What do you have? Wings as a cutimark? I hope you´ll enjoy flying to the end of your lame life.” Mocked him Loki.

Bully turned red with anger.

“You insolet brad!”

“Oh, are you angry? Don´t worry I am sure that your mum will give you some warm milk at home.”

Loki was almost laughing, nothing was better than upset somepony with pure words.

“I think that I have to teach you a lesson.” Said pegasus and prepared to hit him.

No way this is gonna work against my magic.

“Stop it!” shouted male voice and bully immediately calmed down.

Through the crowd came unicorn, few years older than Loki with white fur, brown mane and eyes.

“Everypony disperse!” said with voice not acepting objections.

He walked to grey unicorn.

“Are you alright kiddo?” asked.

“Yes, thanks to you.” answered with innocent voice.

“Next time be more careful. By the way what is your name? I didn´t see you here before.”

“I am Loki and I just moved here from Everdark forest. What is your name?”

“Romeo.”

“Nice to meet you. If you don´t mind. Why is everpony so scared of you?”

Romeo smiled.

“That is because I am personal student of Queen Chrysalis, so that gives me some respect amongst the others.”

“That´s cool. Don´t you want be my friend? In my class, everypony is making fun of me for not having cutiemark.”

“Yea, sure.”

Both unicorns went outside of school and looked on the city under the hill. Romeo told him about live in Changliville and school.

Suddenly a maid looking pony came.

“Romeo, here you have letter from Julia.” said,  gave him piece of paper and walked away.

“Julia? Who is Julia?” asked Loki.

Romeo sighed.

“That is a long story.”
