Dream Maker was getting ready for bed. It was a Friday, so she wouldn’t have work in the morning. She didn’t have work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in fact. Though the day was hard enough. Enlighten was still not saying a word about what goes on in school. He also came home late. Who knows what he was doing outside?

The day was coming to an end. That’s all that mattered at the moment. ‘Finally, I can relax.’ She thought. ‘That’s exactly what I need after all of this.’

Of course that was all that seemed to be the problem. Enlighten never said a word about what goes on in his life. He’s mostly in his room closed off from the rest of the world. If he only got out more, then things would probably be better for him.

“At least I won’t have to deal with that until tomorrow.” Dream said to herself as she got into bed. “True.” Her husband said. For five minutes he was waiting in the bed for her to get ready. She always showered at night which made things take longer than needed.

“If he would only listen to us more.” He said. “Yes that’s true, but I don’t think that’s the problem.” Dream said back. “Then what is?” Her husband responded with. “I don’t honestly know. It seems like a thousand different things to be honest.” “He doesn’t say a word.” “I noticed. Why though? Why won’t he say a word?” “Don’t worry about it right now. Just relax and get some sleep. Dreams always help you don’t they?” “Yes they do.”

Dream maker closed her eyes and tried to get some sleep. It wasn’t much help. Trying to get sleep right away was one of the hardest things she could do.

“Are you ok?” Her husband asked. “Yeah fine.” Dream said back. “Maybe we should talk about something else.” “How about the fact that you completely missed the opportunity to get into the guard… how maybe years ago again?” “There was a reason.” “What was that?” “It met I wouldn’t be with you.” “That’s sweet, but that was a rare chance to become a hero.” “Woulda met not living with you right now.” “You would still be with me… just not as much. Right I get your point.”

Dream turned around in bed trying to not look at her husband in the eye. “Though,” He started saying. “That was some adventure right?” “You got that right.” Dream replied.

Twilight looked at the clock. Only nine O’clock. That was plenty of time. She stayed up much longer than this studying before. “Ok Spike. We were at this for two hours straight. Yet, we haven’t figured out a thing.” Twilight said to Spike. Spike was carrying a whole pile of books over to Twilight at the moment. “Well,” He said. “I don’t think one spell is very important.”

Twilight, at that very moment in time, was still trying to figure out about the spell Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon brought in. Spike was just trying to keep the books out.

How do you even know it’s going to work?” Spike asked, trying to get it through Twilight’s head that one random spell isn’t very important. “I thought all unicorn magic required a horn to use anyways.” “Well that one is beyond me. This one spell, however, looks exactly like it’ll work.” Twilight responded. “How do you know that?” “I took classes.” “Uhuh.” “Well it’s not like this is in books.” “Uhuh.” Just don’t drop those spike.” “Trying not t-”

Right then the books actually dropped all over the floor and the table. “SPIKE! The spell is buried under this whole mess!” Twilight screamed in horror. “Well, if somebody didn’t mention not to drop the books this wouldn’t be a problem.” Spike responded. “The problem is the paper getting ruined. I couldn’t even find anything about chakras yet.”

“Wait did you say something about chakras?” Spike asked. “Yeah. why?” Twilight answered. “I think I got the answer to our problem.” Spike said proudly.

Thirty minutes, and Dream Maker was finally starting to get sleep. All she had to do was fall right to sleep and she could relax. Relax for a long few hours.

‘I swear this takes longer and longer each time.’ Dream thought to herself. ‘What good is having a talent to control dreams when you can’t even get sleep?’

That was her talent. Being able to control her own dreams through lucid dreaming. She also remember quite a few of them too. About ninety percent of them. It was something to look forward to at the end of the day. The “end” however took forever to get too.

‘If only I had a better talent for falling asleep.’ She thought. ‘That would fix a bunch of my problems.’

“Ok, you cleaned up the whole place. Now what did you want to show me?” Twilight asked Spike. This could get a bunch of problems fixed. Then Spike could get some sleep too.

“You were looking in the wrong books.” Spike said. “Wait. WHAT!?” Twilight yelled back. “How could that of happened?” “Simple.” Spike relied. “These are the books you wanted to look at.” Spike went over to the back corner. Those were where the books that ponies didn’t pay much attention to were. They were in an area that nopony cared for.

Spike looked for a specific book that Enlighten got about a year back. When he found it, he pulled it out and showed the book to Twilight. “Really? Two hours and you didn’t say a single thing about what the spell had in it?” Spike said. “Well I figured that wasn’t really important.” Twilight said back.

Twilight looked into the book. The table of context showed exactly what she was looking for. “The seven chakras. Page forty seven. Thank you Spike.” “You're welcome.”

Twilight turned right to that page. At the beginning it what exactly they were. Twilight didn’t know a thing about them, so this is going to be a long night.

“Spike?” Twilight said. “Yes, Twilight?” Spike said back. “We're gonna be up for a while.” Twilight answered “Great.” Spike said with sarcasm.

Dream found herself in a city. The city was quite busy at that moment. Cars trying to speed from place to place. Everypony wanting to get around everyone to get to a desired location. Dream however didn’t know where to go. Though she did know what to do. When she was young, Dream Maker was interested in parkour. Something she can’t really do anymore due to being thirty one. Though, in her dreams she rules. “This is gonna be fun.” She said to herself.

At this moment she was in the middle of the sidewalk. All she had to do was get past everypony who were pushing past her.

With a bit of effort she managed to get into an open area at an alley way. “Perfect.” She said. “Just as I needed.” What she began to do was run until she got enough speed to jump off a wall and go from one wall to another. Something she would never be able to do in real life. However here, she was able to bend reality.

She started running until she got up to twenty miles per hour and jumped off the dead end wall in front of her. With a bit of effort She was able to angle herself to the next wall.

She didn’t get onto it like she hoped though. Instead she had to run on the wall just to keep herself from falling. Physics still applied. Just not much.

She did however jump from wall to wall without fall off. Jumping at about seven feet while running a bit each time.

‘This is starting to get fun.’ She thought. After she got high enough, Dream jumped onto the roof, then began running at the twenty miles she had before.

Dream noticed something up ahead. “Oh great. A gap between the buildings.” She said to herself. Dream Maker picked up the speed to thirty miles. As fast as she could Dream jumped the gap.

Dream was a pegasus which met easily fly over. However that’s not how she wanted to do it. Dream spread out her wings, so she could glide over. She was still at twenty-five miles per hour and the building was about ten yards away. She didn’t make it to the roof, however she did grab a hold of a window and managed to lift her body into the air, so she could grab a hold of the roof and carry herself up.

Dream decided to rest after that. “Ok that was some of the most fun parkouring I ever had. I didn’t do that in years. Wish I could do stuff like that in real life.” She said to herself. Dream walked over to the roof of the building. She looked down and saw everyone still hard at work to try and get to a certain location. Where that was she had no clue. “Well then,” She said to herself. “These ponies don’t know what they are missing out on. Neither do I.”

Twilight looked at the time again. Eleven O’clock. She still had to get through all of this stuff about a source of energy in the body she had to clue about. Apparently the spell used this energy focused at the ground under you to write the symbol on the ground. The symbol was to do the work from there.

She didn’t know how to use that energy, though. That was the problem. “Spike, anything from your book?” Twilight said. Spike offered to help with a different book. Twilight said it was alright. He might as well do something to help. “Nothing.” He responded with. “Knowing the energy is there is one thing. Using it is something else altogether. This book does say the crown chakra is used a lot when a unicorn is using his or her horn.” “That won’t help. I need to use just about all of the seven to get this spell to activate correctly.”\

“Well maybe Celestia knows something.” Spike said. He just wanted to get some sleep. Giving the spell off to a princess that knows a lot more than Twilight seemed alright. “I guess that will work. I’ll just write a copy to give to her and we can get some sleep. We can focus on this tomorrow.” Twilight said. “Really?” Spike asked. “Yes really.” Twilight answered.

Dream Maker woke up in the middle of the night. She was climbing a ninety foot skyscraper, then two feet from the from the top fell off. Her wings wouldn’t even work correctly at the speed she was going.

“That was frightening.” She said to herself. “Ten-hundred miles per hour. I can’t even imagine what would have happened if I hit the ground. Even if that was a dream.”

One thing she had learned from years of messing around in her dreams is if you get hurt in a dream, you keep that pain when you wake up. Usually you don’t get hurt unless you get hit by something in real life. Other times the pain is just there.

“I need to get something to drink.” Dream said to herself. She went downstairs and poured herself some water. Trying to forget that frightening memory, she drank the whole glass in a matter of twenty three seconds.

“I hope that never happens again.” She said to herself. That sort of thing happened ten times. She hated to think about it though.

Dream went up stairs and tried to get some more sleep. ‘No more parkour.’ She thought. ‘Not tonight.’
