it was morning at the shack sitting round the table was twilight and deathspank .

"are you ready for the ultimate maple syrup race?"

"AM I" i yell

"GO GO GO GO" we yell in unison as the sticky syrup came slowly from the bottle.

"almost nearly..." twilight

said well hitting the bottle

"YES..."choked Twilight as she well the  syrup entered her mouth before she entered what look like painful fit of coughing.

I put down the bottle before picking up the newspaper.

"Oh my gosh Twilight LOOK" i said showing her the page.

"oh my a pony sized hamster ball...i'm pony sized"

"no look over here" on the paper was a fake looking pic of a monster that read*beat this photo and be in to win $1,000 free*

"hey did we get any pics of the gnomes" Twilight shuddered before replying.

"no but we got some good memory and this peace of one of their hats"

"why do you have that?" she looked at me and shrugged as ante tia entered the room.

"ha kids guess what day it is." she said looking at more or less me.

"happy X-mas ho ho ho" I said trying to act cute.

"hmm...ooo happy valentines who is the cute somepony?" Twilight said winking

"what...no you nickle head" she said hitting me

"its family fun day were going to cut down on work and doing you know fun things" she said as she walked over to the fridge smelled the milk shut the fridge door.

"um tia is this going to be like the last family fun day?" and the flashback started

in a garage me and Twilight were making fake money

"come on is that the beast you can do hay no slacking off deathspank"

she said as the police showed up.

Twilight shuttered again before looking up snapped from the back flash

"the county prison was so cold."

"look i haven't been the best caregiver but hey this time is different so who wants to put on some blindfolds and get into my car?"

"YAY" we yelled not thinking before I said

"what what?"

it the car blindfolded I sighed as I said.

"blind folds never lead to anything good"

"wow it feels like my other senses are growing...I can see with my wings"

Twilight said starting to feel my face in return I started feeling her face It soon followed as the car to jumped into the air.

"um ante tia are you wearing a blindfold?" I asked feeling screed of the answer.

"no but with these glasses I might as well be...what is that a woodpecker?"

she said as the car hit something spinning out of control.

"ok ok open them up" tia said with happiness 'oh no nothing good can came'

taking off the blindfold I l could there was tia smiling under one of her hooves was a cooler.on the banner it said *fishing season opening day*

"tida its fishing season" she said happily.

"fishing?" twilight asked her head on its side.

"what are you playing at old mare?" I snap back 'probably were the bait you never know with tia'

"you're gonna love it the hole towns out here"

"here fishy fishy get into the pan" and old looking mare with one eye closed said

"say cheese" a reporter said as the camera flashed and he fell in the lake.

on the boat next to it was a buff looking colt with three not so buff looking littler ones.

"is this good?" the oldest from the three said holding the fishing net.

"NO" the dad said snapping the net "I will teach you how a real colt fishes" as he put his wing into the water to pull out a fish "ah...ha-ha" he said throwing the fish in the boat attacking it.

all three joined in saying "dad dad dad dad"

in the next boat was a skinny looking colt 'featherweight' saying "get em get em"

"that's some real family bonding" tia said with joy

"tia why do you what to bond with us all of a sudden?" I said not looking impressed

"came on this is going to be great i've never had fishing buddies before the colts from the log won't go with me they don't like or trust me" she said bending her wings at the 'like' or 'trust' me part.

Twilight looked at me before saying "I think she really wants to fish with us"

"hey I know what will cheer you sad saps up" she said holding two hats "pow family fishing hats" she said putting them on our heads. "that's hooves stitching you know?"

mine said *dethy* well Twilight's said *twilight* but the last 't' fell off half way so it was upside down.

"its gist going to be you me and those cool hats on the boat for ten hours straight"

"ten hours"I said disapprovingly.

"I bought the joke book" she said hoping to get us on her side.

"no no" I said

"there has to be a way out of this" Twilight said nudging me.

"I see it I see it once more" an old looking colt said running through the crowd pushing everything in his path away.

stopping at a young looking colt. "the gravity falls Gobblewonker come fast before it runs away" he said doing a jig

"cute hes doing a happy jig" twilight said

"no its a jig of grave danger" he said shaking twilight.

"ha ha no what did I tell you about scaring everyone" a colt said spraying him with water "this is your last warning dad"

"but I got evident this time"

looking at twilight I could tell she had the same thought as me.

"behold" he said looking at a destroyed boat "its the Gobblewonker that did it. it had a long neck like a giraffe and wrinkly fur like this mare right here" he said punting at tia

"huh?" was all she said as a answer

"it chomped my boat up into bits it swam over to scuttlebutt island" "you gotta believe me" he said grabbing the colt who claimed to be his son.

"attention all units we got ourselves a crazy old colt" at that everyone started to giggle. his son shook his head.

"oh Luna butts" he said walking away.

"well that happened...now lets untie this boat and get on that lake" tia said jumping into a old looking boat.

"twilight did you hear what that old colt said?"

"oh Luna butts" she said spitting in the lake.

"the other thing about the monster if we can get a photo of it we can split the reward money 50/50."

Twilight gasped at this. "that's two 50's"

"imagine what you can do with $500" twilight started to imagine.

'her self in a hamster ball "not so high and mighty any more" she said looking at a hamster it lowered its head in a cry "ha ha ha" twilight said smashing a hole in the wall. on the street in a car were two brightly colored colts sat there "hay colts" twilight said in her hamster ball. "you can look but you can't touch" the lights changed and she ran off "awesome" the colts said at the same time she was coming out of it.

"TWILIGHT? TWILIGHT" I said a little worried.

"Deathspank I am one million percent with you" twilight said happily.

"tia change of plan were taking this boat to scuttlebutt Island and were going to find that Gobblewonker"

"MONSTER HUNT, MONSTER HUNT,MONSTER HUNT" me and twilight say only for the old pony to join in

"ill be going now" he said at one look at our faces.

*honk honk* a big white boat pulled into dock.

"yo you two say something about a monster hunt?" Luna said

"LUNA" twilight called joy in her voice

"yo sup twilly" she said brohooving her

"co pow bush explode" they said.

"yo dude you can totally use my boat for the hunt" she said exited :its got a steering wheel and chairs normal boat stuff"

"all right,all right lets think this through you kids could go waste your time on some epic monster finding adventure or you could spend the day learning how to tie rope and half worms with your great aunt tia"

looking back at Luna she started to do the robot to hip music. smiling turning to tia she sat in the boat with a leak in it.before looking out at the island. smiling at each other to give the ok.

"so what do you say?" tia looked up to see us on the boat sailing away.

"who need them? I got a bunch of creepy fish to keep me happy" "ew" she said shunting the box.

out on the boat me, twilight and Luna were happily shouting stuff like 'ya' 'wow'

"lift the rock" I said after ten seconds.

Luna soon had the old rock up well twilight raised the flag.

"were going to find that Gobblewonker" twilight shouted

"were going to win that photo contest" I continued

"do any of you dudes have sunscreen?" Luna shouted

"were going to go..get sunscreen?" I shout as the boat turned around.

"YAY" everyone yelled at once.

"alright if we want to win this contest then we have to do it right think what's the number one problem with monster hunts?"

I yelled after we got sunscreen.

"if you're the side character you die in the first five minutes of the movie" Luna said stern before panicking."dude am I a side character do you ever think about stuff like that?Luna yelled at twilight

"no no calm down Luna its camera trouble say big hoof shows up Luna be big hoovf"

Luna got into a pointing position.

"there he is big hoof uh oh no camera how what here,s one uhh no film you see you see what i,m doing here?" both Luna and twilight nodded. "that's why I brought seventeen cameras two in my tail three in my wings fore for each of you three extras in this bag and one under my hat. there no way we're going to miss this ok everybody let's test these cameras out."

Luna looked at her camera then flash 'WAdud"

"you see this exactly why we need back ups we still have sixteen"

"ah a bird"twilight shouted throwing a camera at the bird

"fifteen ok guys i repeat don't try to lose your cameras" I say a bit angry

"what lose the cameras?" Luna asks

"no don't lose the cameras"I say

"did I through two away" Luna says

"thirteen thirteen alright we have.."as i hit the cooler killing a camera in the prose "twelve we have cameras"

"whats the plan through more cameras over bored?" twilight said.

"NO no ok you'll be look out Luna can work the steering wheel and i will be captain."

"what why do you get to be captain? what about twilight uh? twilight,twilight,twilight" twilight yelled

"i,m not sure that's a good idea"I say

"what about co-captain?"twilight asked.

"there is no co-captain" I say

"oops" twilight said throwing a camera overboard

"ok ok you can be co-captain" I yell

"can I be awesome captain" Luna said

"as co-captain I hereby say you are now awesome Luna" twilight said

"well as CAPTAIN I say our number one target is to lair it out with this" I yell pointing to a burial full with fish food.

"permission to taste some?" Luna said

"granted" I say

"cool" Luna said grabbing a bit and liking it soon she started spitting and coughing.

"ha ha ha" me and twilight loled

"dude I don't know what I expected that to taste like" Luna said confused.

out on the lake was tia

"traders grr I will find my own fishing buddy's" looking out she spotted a boat on the lake smiling she drove the boat towards them.

"now that we are alone Rosebush" a blue colt started "there a question on which I can't stop to ask"

"oh blue jay"a flame mare said.

"hay" tia shouted out

"want to hear a joke"she said "here it goes...my ex-husbandmen still misses me but his arm is getting better...his aim is getting better you see it's funny because mirage it Honorable"

at that they left

"WHAT?" tia shouted

back on the s.s.cool Luna

twilight and I was on lookout in fog next to her was a pelican.

"hay friend hows it going" twilight said

"its going awesome" twilight said making the pelican talk

"twilight leave that thing alone" I said

"ah I don't mind none" the pelican said

"ha look im drinking water" twilight started drinking well making the pelican sang *twinkle twinkle little star*

in the end she ended up coughing as the pelican flew away.

"your supposed to be doing look out" I shout at her

"LOOK OUT" twilight yells as she through the ball at me.

"ow" I yelled back

"ha ha ha but honestly i'm on it..." *BOOM*

"see were here...I,m a look out master" twilight said as we got off the boat.

on land it was almost unbearable but not too scared.

"dude check it out......butt island" Luna said

"Luna you rebel...hay deathspank why are not lolling?are you scared?"

"ya no" I said

"ya you are" she said

hitting me making me drop the lamp there was a sudden nose.

"dude did you gay hear that?"Luna asked

"was it your belly Luna?"

"no my belly sounds like whales"Luna answered. twilight pushed her head with Luna,s belly there were whale clicking and hummus.

"wow so magical" twilight said at that well I got the lamp. 'no a possum got there before me no we must continue'

"I can't see"I complained.

"dude I don't know man maybe..maybe this is not worth it." Luna said

"not worth it guys imagine what would happen if we got that picture." off to the imagine zone once more

on tv was me

"tonight we talk to adventure seeker Deathspank who bravely photoed the sly Gobblewonker tell me Deathspank what's the secret to your success?"

"well I run away from nothing...nothing except my ugly ante tia and who I ditched in order to get that lake monster"

"how right of you to do so it looked like a real piece of work I don't often do this but i'm getting the need to give you this medal"

there was a flash and the back wall came down.

"hey why don't you interview me" twilight shouted.

"i,m in"I shouted

"me to" twilight joined in

running ahead of Luna.

"i,m coming" Luna shouted

soon we were on the move once more.

Luna started a rap "boom boom boom"

and twilight had to join in "my name is twilight that rimes with my light that also rimes with highlight that also rimes with firelight

"dud we should be writing this down" Luna said.

"guys guys you hear something" I wispier

"this is it this is it" I say

"yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes" said twilight

Luna grabbed a spear before continuing.

into the fog we go.

on the other side is what looks like the Gobblewonker.

hiding behind a log with a camera this is it.

"everyone get your cameras ready"

Luna gave the wing tips up well twilight set her camera.

"ready.....GO" I yelled

Luna jumped over the log with one easy move twilight flapped her wings to get on the other side I jumped and flew over the log.

"aah" Luna yelled taking random pics.

soon all we were left with was a wooden ship shaped like the beast with a lot of beavers.

'I love cavorting'

'that deserves a hug' the beavers said hugging.

"but..but what was that noise then I heard a monster noise" I said looking to the left.

there was a beaver biting a chainsaw.

"sweet beaver with a chainsaw" Luna said taking pics.

"maybe that old colt was crazy after all" I said sadly

"he did use the word 'Luna butt'" twilight said head down.

"look when you thread the lot of pony's don't know this but you what to use a barrel knot that's the secret from one fishing buddy to another ha ha" tia said talking to a littler colt in the boat next to hers.

"I..who are you exactly?" the smell colt said

"you can call me aunt tia"

"hum why are you talking to are colt? if you don,t leave right now I will call the cops" the mare said."go bother your own kids"

"oh ya work it,work it nice,nice ya I like that"Luna said taking pics of beavers.

"what are we going to say to tia?" I said on a rock "we ditched him over nothing" I said

throwing a rock into the water

*boom*

"hey did you feel that?" I said as the rock I was sitting on sank into the water. "hay hay wow wow" I shouted.

soon I was on land there it was finally.

"this is it" I whispered."come on this is our chance."

Luna and twilight slowly backed away from me.

"whats wrong with you guys?" I say

"d..d..d..deaths...s..s..spark" twilight whimpered

"is not that hard look point and shout look" I said pointing the camera up at the monster "ahhh" I yelled relieving how close it was. I could not move I dropped the camera before running after Luna and twilight.

tackling twilight I saved her from a falling tree we were running dodging trees. 'no I will get a pic'

and woo I tripped on a log the camera. I was about to run back when Luna grabbed me with her magic.

"dud if it makes you happy I got lots of pics of thoughts beavers"

"WHY WOULD THAT MAKE ME FEEL BETTER?" I shouted

soon that monster was on us.

we suddenly were on the boat thanks to twilight's telephonist spell the side effects were worse she was limp unable to move as almost dust like stuff came from her horn groaning she was up.

"Lets get outta here dudes" *luna said driving the bout away.*

"All rigt this is it! Cracked lends?! Luna get a photo.!

*dethpark turned to see Luna throwing cameras at the monster.*

"What are you doing?" Dethspark yelled

"Oh! Still got one left"* luna said throwing a camera at dethspark witch beaks agents the wall next to dipper.*

"Go go go" dethspark yelled.

on a different boat celestia was trying to tie a knot.

"can you pleas tell me more funny story's pa-pa?" a filly that looks like dethspark said with his twin that looked like twilight.

"anything for my fishing buddy" a older colt said as both looked up happily.

"pa-pa I gist released I love you"he said in a cute voice

"ah come on boo boo"tia shouted.

"uh hay now whats the big idea"the old colt said.

"maybe he has no one to wuve him pa-pa?" the cute colt said

"ya well i..i" she was cut off by Luna boat.

the chase was still on the monster gaining speed.

"Luna beaver"I said.

'were still beavers' they said

turning the boat sideways we hit the pile of wood.

the beavers landed on us.

all the beavers started biting anything they landed on me twilight Luna and the boat Luna ran as one hit her face.

"ahh dude" she said running.

"ahh"twilight said taking the wheel.

i was trying to get one off the side of the boat well Luna ran in one circle shouting "ow ow ow ow"

soon all beavers but the one on twilight,s back were off but we had bigger problems driving between boats soon the monster was almost on us swinging its head it got the top of the boat.

"uh were do I go" twilight shouted as we headed towards a water fall.

"go to the falls I think there might be a cave in there"I said looking thought the book very fast.

"might be"twilight said as we hit the falls.

soon we were on land a broken almost nonworking boat behind us on the beach.

"ahh" we all said as the monster entered the cave.

"its stuck" twilight said a happy smile on her face.

"aha what its stuck?" I said as we ran to a cliff by the monster.

reaching under my wing to find no cameras.

twilight suddenly grabbed my hat under it was a camera before saying"boop"

"ha ha"I loled as I toke photos it suddenly snapped at us but we were to far away.

"did you get a good one?" twilight asked

"there all good ones"I said as we hugging.

suddenly a rock hit it I went over to it I jumped on it,s flipper.

"whats wrong?"twilight asked

"careful dude"Luna said as I climbed it they weren't far behind.

"hey cheek this out"I said looking at a hatch.

turning it stem came out lucky twilight was next to me or I wold have jumped I quickly opened it we both sneezed as stem came from it.

muttering something inside was the crazy pony from the beach "oh banjo polish" he said.

"wha you?...you made this..w..why?" I say stunned.

"well I..I er..I gist wanted attention" he said

"I still don,t understand"I said

"well first I gist made a biochemical brain wave then I learned how to operate a stick with my beard." he said

"ok ya but why did you do it"twilight said confused.

the old pony toke off his hat"well when you get to be an old pony like me nopony pays any attention to you any more my own son has'int visited me in months so I thought I wold build a giant robot...all together it seemed insane but you don,t know the length us old timers will go through to have some quality time with our family".

both me and twilight pulled out our hats.

"dude I guss the real lake monster is you two ha ha sorry that gist boom poped into my head there."

"so did you ever talk to your son how you fault?" twilight said

"No, sir, I got to work straight on the robot I made lots of robots in my day! Like when my wife left me and I created a homicidal pterodactyl-tron, or when my pal Ernie didn't come to my retirement party and I constructed an eighty ton Shame Bot that exploded the entire downtown area...Well, time to get back to work on my death ray...Any of you kids got a screwdriver?" he said

"well so much for the photo contest"I said looking at the camera.

"you still have one role of film left" twilight said

"what do you want to do with it?"I ask

on the lake coming in to the dock is a small bout with a sad wight alicorn in it.

"hey over here"I yell from a very almost completely destroyed boat I take a photo.

"what the?kids I thought you two were out playing spin the bottle with Luna."she said

"well we spent all day trying to find a legendary dinosaur."I said

"but we realize the only dinosaur we want to hang out with is right here"twilight said pointing to tia.

"save your sympathy I've been having a grate time without you making friends talking to my reflection .I had a run-in with the lake police Guess I gotta wear this ankle bracelet now, so that'll be fun."she said pointing to a red beeping bracelet.

"so I guess there's is not room in that boat for three more"I said as me and twilight put on our hats.

"You knuckleheads ever seen me thread a hook with my eyes closed?"tia said.

"Five bucks says you can't do it!"I said pointing the tip of my wing at her.

"You're on"she said as I jumped into the boat.

"well Five more bucks says you can't do it with your eyes closed, plus me singing at the top of my lungs"twilight said

"I like those odds...Whoa What happened to your shirt?"she said as Luna and Twilight jumped on.

"Long story dude".Luna said

"All right, everybody get together Say fishing"I say sa they get together with only Luna's neck showing.

"Dude, am I in the frame?"Luna asked as I take the photo.

one of the cameras Luna dropped fell into the dark water only to suddenly be eaten by the real lake monster.
