Fallen Grace

When she awoke, it was about noon. Phrozen was still asleep, and he looked much better. His breathing was steadier thanks to the moisture in his throat. His stomach didn't sound like a stampede of bulls anymore either. Fluttershy could've stood there and watched him sleep so comfortably, but it was time to leave. She nuzzled him gently. "Phrozenflame, we need to leave." she said gently. He opened his eyes and stood up slowly, wincing as he tried to put pressure on his left hoof. "ow, it hurts." he complained. "Can you walk?" She asked. "yes, I'm just not used to pain very much." He began. "But we don't need to walk, Can you tell me which way we're going?" He asked, knowing that Fluttershy probably had a map. Fluttershy blushed, embarrassed as she pulled out the map and looked and studied it for a few minutes. She then pulled out a compass from the pack and checked it. "We're going this way." She said, pointing due east. "Okay." He said. He then spreaded his wings and began to hover off the ground. "That's right." Fluttershy said. She had forgotten that he was an alicorn. She spread her wings and lead the way back to ponyville.

It was dusk when they reached her home, they were greeted by her friends who were waiting outside for her return. "FLUTTERSHY!" Twilight exclaimed as they came out of the everfree. The group quickly turned thier attention to the pair and rushed to meet them. Phrozen Panicked and flew upwards, placing himself on a cloud above. "Excuse me girls." Fluttershy said, breaking away from the group and flying up to the cloud that holds a panicked PhrozenFlame. "It's okay, they're my friends." Fluttershy said. Twilight and RainbowDash had flown up at this time and were looking at each other in confusion. "Uhhhh... who is he?" Twilight inquired. "This is Phrozenflame. He was why I went into the everfree. Twilight noticed his horn and directed her attention to him. "Are you a prince?" Twilight asked. Phrozenflame shook his head slowly. "It would be best if we could catch up tommarow, It's been a long day for us." Fluttershy said, putting her wing over Phrozenflame. "oh...ok." Twilight said, taking RainbowDash and leaving.

"Hey, it's okay." Fluttershy said, comforting a fearful Phrozenflame. "I-I know, I'm just not used to talking very much to others. You could say I am a very shy pony. Why did she ask if I was a prince?" Phrozenflame asked. "You saw that she was an alicorn, right?" Fluttershy asked. Phrozenflame nodded his head in agreement. "Well, Alicorns are considered royalty here, since there is only four alicorns in all of Equestria..." Fluttershy began. Phrozenflame's eyes tore themselves open in panic. "WHAT!?! WE'RE IN EQUESTRIA?!?" Phrozenflame exclaimed in horror. He began to rant endlessly about how much trouble he was going to be in when his brothers find out where he is. Fluttershy opened the door to her house and Phrozenflame slowly walked inside and continued his rant. Fluttershy soon had to intervene by placing herself in a very close position to his face. He stopped immediatly and jumped back, Blushing as if fire were in his cheeks. "I-I'm sorry, I'm just afraid for your safety." Phrozenflame began. "what do you mean, MY safety?" Fluttershy inquired, inching closer to Phrozenflame. "It's where I'm from that makes me dangerous. I don't want you to get hurt." Phrozenflame finished

"Where are you from? And how does that make you dangerous?" Fluttershy asked, inching closer ever more. "I-I-I'm from Equinox, it's an alternate universe to Equestria, a universe where violence and death is a casual thing. That's why I'm so shy, my brothers have always defended me from harm, making sure that no-one can get even twenty feet near me with bad intentions. I'm the youngest of my brothers and my brothers will literally tear apart any city they believe I'm lost at in thier attempts to find me." Phrozenflame began. Fluttershy continued to listen to his explanation for another half hour in complete horror. Descriptions of destruction and death in bold detail about what his brothers had done for him. And suddenly something new popped up in his story. " And I don't want you to get hurt because...because..." Phrozenflame kept trying to go on, but he his flushed red and he couldn't talk, he just sat and covered his face with his hooves. "Because why?" Fluttershy asked, nuzzling his arm. "Because...I...think...I..." Phrozenflame began. "Yes?" Fluttershy pressed, blushing at the thought of what he was going to say, knowing that her wish was about to come true.

Phrozenflame suddenly picked himself up, blushing deeper than red and spoke. "Because I love you." He said, bringing himself to kiss Fluttershy. Fluttershy yipped, but didn't jerk back. She remained there, blushing deeper and deeper. He suddenly pulled himself back from her. " I love you, but I can't stay. Every moment I am here, I am a danger to you and your friends. I have to leave." Phrozenflame said. He was crying at this point And so was she. Knowing that he was right. "Please, stay here for awhile. Until the morning, please." Fluttershy begged. Phrozenflame came up and stroked her cheek softly. "It is the least that I can do for you. My love." Phrozenflame said, bringing himself up to her again. She flourished with red. "Let's go to sleep, it's been a long day." Fluttershy said.

She led the way to her room and opened the door, it was in chaos. Angel had decided to turn all the animals into cannibals and they were about to eat a poor ferret. Before Fluttershy could do anything, She saw an amazing sight. Phrozenflame had brought himself to the group and began to sing softly. The group of animals, all excluding the ferret had fallen asleep. He released the ferret and the ferret hugged him with deep thanks. After all the animals were put to sleep by Phrozen's soothing song and were all tucked in, they decided to go to sleep. They placed themselves on each side of her bed. His limbs wrapped around her in an idle hug.
