TIME and DUST

Twilight awakes to see spike stacking books onto a wagon, “what are you doing spike?” twilight ask, “flutter shy ask me if I could bring here some books on how to feed baby grasshoppers” Spike replies,

With a confused look on twilights face, “Baby grasshoppers?”she adds,

Spike again replies; “yup you know flutter shy, always caring for the little guys, oh ya that reminds me rainbow dash and applejack ask me to tell you that they want to meet up at noon at the center of town”

“What!?!, but it’s almost noon now, why didn’t you tell me this earlier I’m going to be late.!” Screamed twilight,

“Well I didn’t want to tell you until you woke up, plus I think your friends will understand if you’re a couple minutes late” spike replies.

“being late is being a bad friend, princess celestia always told me to be my best and showing up two minutes late is not being my best” yelled twilight as she rushes out the house in a hurry to make good time.

running down the streets twilight moves fast trying to catch up for lost time, passing sugar cube corner twilight sees pinky standing outside talking to vinyl and Octavia about an upcoming party for whom she needs the music.

Almost instantly pinkie sees twilight, surprised and excited she screams. “Twilight!!! Where you going so fast I need to talk to you.”

“I’m sorry pinkie I can’t talk right now I’m late for meeting rainbow dash and applejack at town square” twilight yells back.

Sad and disported pinkie goes back to talking to the musicians of ponyvill. “Alright so is that a no on the bass cannon idea?” vinyl scratch ask.

“Ugh vinyl do you always have to have that thing, last time it made me go death for an hour. “Says Octavia .

Vinyl- “well duh the cannons my thing every pony knows me because of my base cannon just like every pony knows you for your cello”

Pinkie pie- “well I for one like the idea of the bass cannon it’s not a party without musi-“pinkie pie stops mid-sentence to look up and see rainbow dash fly across the air

Pinkie pie- “rainbow dash where are you going?” rainbow dash looks down to see pinkie jumping up and down.

“I’m looking for twilight have you seen her? “Rainbow dash asked

“Last I saw she was running to the center of town to see applejack and you” pinkie replies

“Thanks pinkie” dash says as she flies off.

Zooming above the streets over ponyvill rainbow dash meets up with twilight just as she is reaching the center of town,

Rainbow dash lands to meet twilight who seems to be out of breath from all the running,

“sorry, i-im, late rainbow-rainbow dash” twilight says trying to get her breath back.

“pph its no big dear silly I just got done clearing all the clouds in ponyvill plus you’re not even late your ten minutes early, didn’t you remember to set your clock back because of the winter being over” rainbow dash ask as she begins to laugh to herself

Embarrass twilight replies “oh, I usually get spike to-do that for me that for me, but at least I wasn’t late.”

“ya well if anypony is late its applejack she was supposed to be hear before us” rainbow dash says to twilight.

“well why did you girls want me here so bad for?” twilight ask.

“Well it was supposed to be a surprise but since applejack isn’t here yet I guess I can tell you” rainbow dash says

As rainbow dash is in mid sentence the two of them look up to see the sky turn dark, speed of the wind picks up, and from what was a beautiful day without a cloud in the area turned into a dark  and gloomy sky almost instantly.

“I thought you said you cleared the clouds?” twilight ask “I did I don’t know where this came from” rainbow dash replies”

“Then what’s happening, did clouds dale plan a storm for this afternoon?

“After winter wrap up? Are your kidding the animals need to eat and get fresh air, not be blown away by a storm” rainbow dash tells twilight.

“plus if this was a storm where’s the rain?”

The storm gets worse the wind gets stronger lighting is seen from the distance followed by loud thunder that crackers across the sky, tree branches zip by the two ponys barley missing the two of them,

lighting strikes the ground just 10 feet away from twilight and rainbow dash sending them flying back and hitting the ground. Then another strike in the same spot, then another followed by another, at least 10 different lightning bolts strike the same place, with the last one causing a great blast that sends dust and sand into the air,

But then the strangest thing happen, it was over the storm was gone only leaving be hide the dust that filled the air, it seemed as soon as it started it was gone, the  wind died down the lighting stop and you could hear the birds start to sing again.

Rainbow dash got up with only a couple of scratches on her “Twilight!! Twilight!! Where are you “she yelled

“Dash, I’m over” twilight painfully replied as she too got up.

“Are you alright? You’re not hurt are you, ?” rainbow dash ask

“A couple cuts and bumps but I’m alright, I can’t see anything with all this dust in the air, can you try and clear a path to me?”twilight ask

Rainbow dash began to flap on wings clearing the dust around her until she finally found twilight. Landing next to her, she is happy to see that she is ok and then ask her what happen.

“ I don’t know,, I’ve never seen anything like it before,” she said,

“its like it came out of nowhere. “Rainbow dash replies

As the dust begins to settle and the sky begin there clean, a gray figure appears to be standing where the lighting seem to of struck,

“Wh-who is that? Rainbow dash ask with a shocked look on her face,

Twilight looks up to see a tall medium size unicorn, standing up in the middle of town with his head down.

“A stallion” twilight whispers to herself.

The stallion seemed to have a blackest gray coat a black mane tail, also around his lower body where his cutie mark would be is a bandage

“Who is he and where did he come from?” rainbow dash ask

“I don’t know but he looks hurt I’m going to go talk to him “twilight replies has she starts walking

“Twilight no wait he could be dangerous” rainbow dash yells as she tries to stop her but it’s too late, she was gone

Twilight slowly walks up to the stallion with his head still down breathing heavily, she very slowly walks up the strange new pony, asking him if he is alright, putting one whoove onto his shoulder

“Hay are you alright you look hurt? “Twilight ask a second time but there’s was no responses.

The strange stallion lifts his head up and backs away a couple feet and looks at twilight

In a deep but calming voice the stallion replies “who are you?”

Twilight, surprise by his response answers, “my name is twilight sparkle, and you look hurt let me he-“without being able to finish her sentence the strange stallion tackles twilight onto the ground, pinning her.

“Where is he!!” he screams at her.

Scared and confused twilight try to break from his grip but it is no use the stallion as her pined to the ground

“Where is he!!” the stallion screams again

“Where is who?” twilight replies as she still tries to get out of his grip

“The wizard” yelled the stallion, “where is he”

“The wizard?.. What wizard?” twilight ask the hostile stallion

Once again the stallion yelled “the wizard!!! Star swirl the bearded!! Where is he?!”

Twilight froze and stopped struggling. Did you just say Star swirl..?
