The Lone Survivor

Present: I was driving down the road in my Military Off-Road listening to some music on my IPod. I turned right to head down another road. I saw a sign on the side of the road saying Oxford 50 miles, as I passed a Freedom M1A2 Abrams it's crew waved at me as I passed and of course I waved back. The Freedom Rangers in the past 5 years have gained a large military and a lot more land than any other Group. Lets just say those weapons I got them helped em' get to other bases and more military power. Even though the Freedom Government is ruled by it's Generals it has a Constitution, and might I add it's similar to the U.S.'s Constitution. Of course, they thank me I am now apart of there History! Wow... I can tell that it's going to last along time. Yes, they have asked me to join them but I prefer to stay alone.

Anyway, so a lot has changed in the last few years. There are rarely any bandits and they won't go anywhere near anyone due to the Tanks. Also, there are no more zeds due to the have been wiped out completely in Freedom Territory. I can't believe that one person can cause so much, makes you think about what else you could do in your life, huh? Anyway... where was I, ah yes... so yea rarely anything these days... I haft to go out of Freedoms borders in order to actually get stuff. Well, better get my mind back to the road.

1 hour later...

I finally made it to Oxford, I heard there was some good stuff here but it is manifested by zeds. Driving through most of them or just plain ran them over. I got out of the Off-Road and grabbed my IPod and started to listen to another song. I walked into the center of the castle or whatever it's called courtyard. As I continued walking all over the place I found some things like supplies and ammo.

Well I found really no... I was passing a room when I saw a very large Gem in a glass case. I walked up to it and looked at it for a moment.

Why would you put glass over a Diamond? I asked my self. Pulling out my pistol and shot the glass cover and it shattered due to the fact its armor piercing. And That's When A Overly Loud Alarm Went Off.

OH, that's what it was for... *shit.***

Grabbing the diamond I started to run as fast as I could back to the Off-Road. As soon as I got there the courtyard was starting to fill up with zeds.

Why did I do that? Why was my common sense not working?

I'm surrounded, all the exits are blocked by zeds. All I can do is fight, and fight I shall. I pulled out my MP5SD6 and played a new song. I started to shoot at the zeds near the Off-Road. All I could see was gore due to high-explosive rounds. They dropped like Bloatflies, most of them were wiped out but I still had the ones behind me so I threw a Satchel Charge and I ran for the Off-Road. Getting in I hit the detonator causing the shock wave to blow me up against the seat and blood and an arm fling at my windshield. Recovering quickly I strapped in and floored it in reverse running over a few in the process. I hit the brakes causing to do a 90 degree spin to the right and floored it in the drive gear. A zed decided to jump on my truck so I shot its head off with my M1911. Then another jumped in front of my window so I shoved my pistol right in its mouth and pulled the trigger causing the back of it's skull to explode into bone a decayed flesh. I saw the end of the nightmare right in front of me, but then I noticed a few lighting bolts turning a few zombies to dust. An Anomaly, but not a normal electric anomaly, a Supercharged One! I immediately hit the breaks as I came screeching to a halt. As it came towards me I couldn't believe what I saw, it was blue with a red core as well as red and blue lightning.

Why am we sitting here?! After that I immediately floored in in reverse. I did not even bother about turning around right now, all I cared about was getting out of here. After about a minute I got about 4 blocks away from it when I finally hit the breaks and did a 180 degree turn and drove off. I was about half a mile away from the exit when it shot a red lightning bolt at my truck and causing me to fly into the air and do a half aileron roll, flipping it over.

I was a bit dazed for a moment and when I finally came to my senses. I looked into my mirror and saw it coming for me so I unstrapped myself and crawled out of my newly wrecked Off-Road. I had blood coming out of cuts and glass still in my arms and legs. As I limped away I saw a hoard of zeds coming the other way so I take a left into an alleyway. I was able to get out of the alley but the anomaly was still coming for me. I quickly took a syringe out of my backpack and started to run even though it hurt. I hit my arm a few times to see if I could get a blood vessel to show up, when one did I stuck it the needle right into the vein. As the pain started to go away not completely I could start running faster. Only to run into a dead end!

Fuck!

As I turned around, there it was just floating right there. I slowly started to back into the brick wall behind me. I had sweat coming down my head due to how scared I was and the heat. I made contact with the wall behind me, I had nowhere to run.

It slowly came at me, like it was taunting me... like it was intelligent. Before I could think any longer it was right in front of me, I stared into the Red core with fear.
