Living in a dream

“I don´t know what is happening!” Applejack said. “Why there are two Rainbow Dash?”

“She is an imposter!” The other Rainbow Dash said, pointing her exact double. “Don´t trust her, she is dangerous! She attacked us and kept Zecora and me inside a cage for three days! ”

“No, you are the imposter!” The other Rainbow Dash replied. “I am the real rainbow Dash!”

“Both are the real Rainbow Dash!” Zecora explained us. “They are different parts of Rainbow Dash psyche, which we separated with magic!”

“What? Why did you do that?” Applejack asked, and Rainbow Dash started to laugh nervously.

“Why I wouldn´t want to do that? I mean, who doesn´t want to split their psyche in a half…”

“You wanted to have a clone to do your chores, right?” PinkyPie asked the other Rainbow Dash, who simply didn´t knew what to answer her.

“No, she did it for other reason…” Zecora tried to say, but the other Rainbow Dash interrupted her. “Zecora, don´t tell them about what we talked in your house!”

“But they need to know…” Zecora replied. However, before the other Rainbow Dash could answer her, the other part of Rainbow Dash screamed: “You want to take my beloved Braeburn apart from me, right? But I won´t let you to do that! If Braeburn can´t be mine, he won´t for anyone else!”

And just after she said that,  the apparently evil Rainbow Dash double flew away taking Braeburn with her, before any of us could react.

“No, Braeburn!” I screamed, and then we followed the Rainbow Dash double who was flying away too fast.

The other Rainbow Dash tried to follow her, but she was clearly exhausted, and she couldn´t fly so fast as her apparently evil counterpart, so Fluttershy helped her.

However, the apparently evil Rainbow Dash double tackled violently Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, making the two ponies fell. Fortunately, the two ponies were rescued by Big Macintosh who saved both just in time before the other Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy hit the ground.

“That part of Rainbow Psyche is flying too high!” Zecora exclaimed. “If she kept flying in that way, she would reach a part of the atmosphere where she and Braeburn couldn´t breathe, and they could die!”

“No! I won´t let that happen!”

We didn´t have much time, and even when I wasn´t a pegasus or an alicorn, I used my magic to create some special wings for me, which allowed me to follow the apparently evil Rainbow Dash double. Under other kind of circumstances, I wouldn´t be able to follow her, but since I was worried for anything that could happen to my beloved Braeburn, I flew as fast as I could…And finally I was able to reach the Rainbow Dash double.

“Get away of Braeburn! He´s mine!” The Rainbow Dash double said.

“Stella, this is too dangerous!” Braeburn warned me. “You have to escape!”

“No!” I replied him. “I won´t abandon you, even if it is dangerous…Because…Because…Oh My Celestia, I know this may sound weird, but…I…I… I love you Braeburn! Even when I barely know you, those are my true feelings!”

My words take Braeburn by surprise and angered a lot the Rainbow Dash double who wanted to tackle me. I got ready for the worst, but then a magical shield protected me.

“That wasn´t my magic!” I said to myself, after witnessing that unexpected miracle. “Who saved me?”

Suddenly, in the middle of the clouds, a very beautiful purple alicorn appeared.

“Twilight?” The Rainbow Dash double asked, but the beautiful purple alicorn used her magic to immobilize her, and then, she used a very powerful spell to make her fell sleep.  Once that happened, we were able to take the Rainbow Dash double and Braeburn back to earth, where Zecora used one of her spells to merge the two parts of Rainbow Dash psyche.

The others were surprised to see her good friend Twilight Sparkle, because they didn´t were expecting to see her too soon, but Twilight replied them that she decided to return to Ponyville before the date she originally planned, because she had a very important message to deliver.

“I still don´t know why Rainbow Dash wanted to make a double of herself…” Fluttershy asked.

“She never planned to make a double…” Zecora explained the other ponies. “She was having a problem trying to examine her feelings for two different ponies, and asked me for help!”

“Zecora!” the now normal Rainbow Dash shrieked angrily. “You promised you won´t tell!”

But then she went to Braeburn and apologized.

“Sorry for all the problems my double caused…I guess…that a very nasty part of my mind was somewhat obsessed with you, Braeburn…But I never wanted to hurt you!”

“That´s okay, I guess…” Braeburn said, still confused for the situation, as most of us still were.

Then Rainbow Dash went to talk with Big Macintosh, to thank him for saving her life.

Zecora explained us the situation in private, telling us that in the previous days, rainbow Dash was having an inner conflict due her feelings about Big Macintosh and Braebrun, and asked her for a potion to make her to decide which was her true love.

“Sadly, my potion only split her mind into different entities…One of them  was truly in love with Big Macintosh and the other was aggressively obsessed with Braeburn…The aggressive part of her obsessed with Braebrun attacked us before we could react and left us imprisoned in one of the monster cages I kept in my house during three days, but after a lot of efforts, we were able to escape in order to solve all this misunderstanding…”

“It seems all what as a terrible misunderstanding…” Twilight Sparkle said, so she decided to use her magic to erase the memories of everyone involved in order to make the other ponies forget about what the Rainbow Dash double did.

Once everything was apparently solved, Applejack properly introduced me her good friend Twilight Sparkle, but then

Braebrun said that he needed to talk with me in private, so we went to another place to talk:

“Braeburn…About what I told you when you were in danger…It was absolutely true…” I admitted. “I know it doesn´t made any kind of sense since we just met one day ago, but i…I truly love you and…”

“Stella...” Braeburn interrupted me. “We actually knew each other before…”

“What?” I asked, confused for those words from my beloved Braeburn.
