Living in a dream

“Braeburn, why did you say that we knew each other before?” I asked my beloved Braeburn. “I don´t understand!”

“I was the boyfriend of your sister, Stella! Before her tragic accident, we were a couple…Perhaps you don´t remember very well all what happened during those days, but we knew each other before! You were so little then…and your sister loved you so much, that she asked me as a last desire to protect you…But once you and your family moved to Manehattan, I felt guilty  for not being able to accomplish my promise…”

“Braeburn…” I whispered, unable to believe what I was hearing.

“When you announced  your return to Ponyville, Applejack wrote to me, because she knew that you were too important to me…So I went to Ponyville, not only to the reunion of my family, but also to see you. But when I finally saw you after all this time…I never expected falling in love in you. Oh, Celestia, you look exactly like her, when she was your age…” Braeburn said, with tears on his beautiful eyes. Then he added, with a very sad voice:

“Please forgive me for toying with your feelings, I never wanted to do that…”

“Braeburn…You didn´t do that! I truly love you! I loved you from the first moment that I knew you!”

Braebrun remained silent, and then he added:

“I´m very confused right now…I don´t know what to do…”

“Me neither…” I replied him, with a sad voice. “I didn´t knew that you were the boyfriend of my girlfriend…I think that I´ve forgotten that…”

“You forgot that because your parents deleted that part of your memory with magic…” Braeburn explained me, and that revelation take me by surprise.

“Why they did that?” I asked.

“I don´t know. Perhaps if you recover your memories, you would be able to know the reason…But then, perhaps you will be able to remember a harsh truth!”

“But I need to know the truth!” I replied him. “I have to know it in order to know what I should do now…Because what I feel for you is so strong and intense, that I wouldn´t be able to ignore it! The only way to assume those feelings is knowing all the truth about the past, even if it could hurt me!”

And I after said those words, I went were Twilight Sparkle was. I informed her about the situation, and I asked he if she knew a way to made me recover those memories that were deleted or repressed bya magic.

“I can make you remember with my magic, but I´m not sure of what kind of revelation you could get from the past, Stella Maris…” she warned me, but I insisted in finding out the truth.

“I think this is the only way, Twilight. I need to know to truth…”

“Is that what you really want, I will help you…I hope you find what you are looking for…”

Twilight Sparkle made then a very powerful spell with her horn that made instantly remember all the things I forgot from the early years of my life…In that way, I was able to remember the relationship my sister and Braeburn had, and how we happy we used to be in those times…But I was also able to remember that during those times, I fell in love with Braeburn…After her tragic accident, I had an intense guilt for being in love with her boyfriend, something that a good sister should have never done…

“Oh sister…Oh Braeburn…” Now I know the truth…And now I understand that even when my love for Braeburn is pure and true it also couldn´t be…At least, not for now…”Twilight looked at me with empathy and concern, and asked me if knowing that revelation was what I really wanted.

“I think that is the ebst to know the truth rather than ignoring it…” I sighed. “If I chose to forget this part of my past that would be incredibly unfair with my sister and Braeburn…”

Twilight smiled in a mysterious way after I said those words, and then she said she had something to show me.

“Please, come with me, to my home…” she said. “There is something you need to see…”
