Otts&Miles: Dark, Dark Love

I sighed as I walked to the train station, my saddle bag over my back, no bits, no idea where I was going, just a wish of finding somewhere nice, somewhere I can be happy, be...me...

Lets start with me introducing myself, my name, is Miles, I'm an orange earth pony, although, I wish I was a Pegasus, flying high, being free, I wanna fly high, above the clouds. I've...not had an easy life, I'm an orphan you see, and I've spent my whole life at the Las Pegasus orphanage, wishing to be adopted, I'm waiting no longer, day in day out, I get bullied by the other ponies, just because I have no friends there, I'm an outcast, a loser....

Enough about me, so I'm at the train station, waiting for the train to anywhere, anywhere will do, just not here, maybe Canterlot, or even Manehatten! I didn't care, as long as it wasn't Las Pegasus I'd be happy. Eventually after waiting for around thirty minutes, the train finally pulled in to the station, some ponies got off and some got on, I had to be sneaky about getting on as I didn't have a ticket, I waited until the last second and quickly dashed on, just as the doors were closing, I hid under some seats as the ticket collector, I think that's what he's called, went around the train collecting the tickets, until I looked for somewhere to sit.

There was nowhere, every seat was filled, I sighed and hung my head, I just wanted to sit down, I had to walk a long distance to the train station and had to stand for thirty minutes, I desperately looked up and around until I saw an empty seat, I beamed with happiness, running over, just before I reached the seat, a white unicorn sat down, I halted in my tracks and looked at her. She had a purple curly mane and tail, with soft blue eyes and some eye liner on.

I sighed and hung my head, turning to walk away, then she spoke to me.

"Darling? You can sit with me if you'd like too?"

I turned and looked to her, she was smiling softly

"Y-you mean it?"  I asked

"Of course dear! Nopony should have to stand on a train, just think of the damage it will do to your hooves! Come, take a seat!"

I smiled happily and sat across from her, she told me her name was Rarity and she lived in PonyVille.

"I'm going to Manehatten, just finished some work in Canterlot for Princess Celestia"

"The Princess?!" I was shocked, she knew the Princess!?

She giggled softly and nodded "She just wanted me to help her with the summer sun planning for next year"

I smiled and spoke to her about the summer sun festival, I never got to go...well...I never wanted to due to the bullying...

"So where are you going darling?"

"I...I don't actually know..." My ears flopped down and I sighed sadly "I just want to get away from it all somewhere new...."

Her happy expression turned to that of a sad one, she then took a pen and a small piece of paper out of her saddle bag and wrote something down, it was a name.

I looked up and took it from her as she hooved it to me "Otts..?" I asked, confused.

She smiled and nodded "Go to PonyVille and ask for Otts, he's such a nice colt, he will help you out, I promise"

The train came to a halt at her stop, she smiled at me "Good luck Miles, you'll do fine with Ottsy" She smiled and got off the train, waving as it chugged away from the station, I sighed and leaned back in my seat, waiting to get to PonyVille.

"Sir? Do you have a ticket?"

Those words....I did not want to hear

"U-Uhm...n-no sir...."

This was it, the end of my travel....

"I'm going to have to ask you to get off at the next stop sir..."

"Can I ask what the next stop is...?" I looked to the colt

"PonyVille sir"

I smiled lightly "Perfect"

As the train came to a halt, I stepped of the train, my adventure in PonyVille were about to begin!
