I closed the door behind me and let my my eyes adjust to the dim light. I made out the shape of my desk and walked silently to it pulling out the chair and easing down. I felt around on the table until I found the parchment, the quill, and the ink that once again Twilight provided. I shuffled around the pieces of parchment with crude blueprints written on them looking for one in particular. I squinted a bit and lifted it to the dim light that the window provided. No that isn't it either, I really need to organize my desk.

My thoughts are interrupted by a set of noisy hooves and a pair of feet coming up the stairs. I turn my head to the door and wait for the inevitable. As expected a loud knocking comes from the door.

"Yes?" I call out, slightly annoyed.

The muffled female voice emits. "Hey Austin, its Twilight, may I come in?"

"...No." I call back sheepishly.

The door opens anyways and Matthew walks in with Twilight close behind him. I glare at them as they try to let their eyes adjust to the darkness of my abode. I decide to break the silence by clearing my throat gently.

"AHEM!" I stifle a laugh as they both jump.

Twilight's horn begin to glow lighting the room with a soft purple. A bright flash emitted from her horn and there was a single candle glowing brilliantly on my desk.

"There. Much better." Twilight said with a smug grin.

I squinted towards the light and said "What do you want?"

Matt jumped in "We just wanted to check up on how you are doing that's all."

My voice softens "Well I am fine, anything else?"

"Well I would like to take some notes..." Twilight says while spawning a notepad and a quill out of fucking nowhere.

I rolled my eyes. "Forrrr?" Dragging out the word.

"Science of course! *squee*" As the widest smile splits across her face.

Matt puts his hands in his pockets, shrugs, and walks out of sight and back down the stairs. I cross my arms while Twilight grumbles to herself as she inspects the room and occasionally writes notes down furiously on her paper. She trots up to the desk and puts her to front hooves on top to hold herself up. I nervously scoop up all the parchment neatly and place them under my machete. I hope she got the point.

"Hey could I take a peak at what you got there?" Twilight asks eyeing the papers.

She didn't get the point. "No." I say sternly.

She hops down and writes something on the paper. I try to steal a look and Twilight wheels away.

"No if you want to see these you have to show me your notes first!" Twilight says with a mischievous grin across her face.

"Not happening." I say as I scrunch up my face.

"Fine. So back on task I have a few questions for you." She looks over her notes and says "Why do you keep you room so dark?"

I put my hands behind my head and reply with a shit-eating grin. "Why do you keep yours bright?"

"Why do you own weapons?" she asked, clearly ignoring my comment.

I shrug and say "Its better to have tools ready in a situation that calls for it."

She writes down a little bit more and asks once again. "Are you like any humans back at home?"

"I heard of a few that were but I have not met anyone quite like myself in person, are we through here?"

"One last question." Twilight's quill scribbling like mad. "What sets you apart from others?"

I immediately blurt out "Big Balls."

"Very...Tenacious. Got it, well I'll see you at Pinkie's Party, right?"

"Maybe."

"Alright see you then!" She trotted happily out of my room and shut the door behind her. She left the candle flickering lightly in my room, I stared at it for a few seconds and then licked my index finger and thumb. I moved my fingers to the candle threatening to put it out. I stopped for a second and looked over my desk which was illuminated, I pulled my blueprints back out and pulled out the one I was looking for with ease. I shook my head and returned to my task as I inspected the very detailed print one last time. I decided today was the day to put my plan into effect. I was startled by a loud rattling at my window.

I folded the paper closed and inserted it into my right pocket as I stood up and walked to the window. I part the curtains to see Rainbow Dash carrying a saddle bag hovering expectantly just outside. I unlatch the window while she invites herself in and lands in the middle of my floor, her bag clinks loudly as she sets it down.

"Hey Austin!" she says, absolutely beaming as I plopped down on the floor in front of her. "What the buck happened to your face?" her smile fades quickly as she puts her hoofs on my head and rotates it.

"Nothing." I said as I batted her hoofs away and I turn my attention to the bag. "What'cha got there?"

Her grin returns "Nothing...just booze for tonight's party!" I squinted a bit.

"Oh I see." as I  get up and return to the open window, looking over the town of Ponyville.

"Whats up with you?" RD asks.

"First I don't drink, second I have had a lot of bad encounters with alcohol."

"Oh well I am sorry Austin."

"Don't let a grump like me ruin your fun. So what do you got planned for today?" I asked as I turned towards the spectrum mare.

"Well I am free from weather duty today so I decided to hang out with my favorite human." Rainbow answered.

I smile softly "Matt is down stairs." I say as I point towards the door.

She rolls her eyes and reply's "You know I mean you." then she adds "What do you have planned?" I look at the candle and back to the bag as I form a devious plan.

"I have a few plans and you just might come in handy, er um well hoofy I guess. I'll need one of those bottles, if you don't mind." I say as I walk past her to my door. I don't wait for an answer as I open the door and walk into the bathroom. I reached inside the cupboard and grabbed a dry cloth, then I quickly stuffed it in my left pocket and walked back into my room shutting the door behind me. I walk in to see Rainbow fishing out a suitable bottle with her mouth, she finds one and pokes her head out of the bag holding the bottle between her teeth.

"Okay Rainbow here is what I need you to do: Bring that bottle and the candle, lit mind you, to the corner of Mane street. I'll meet you there." Rainbow nods and does a jaunty salute as I reach over to my desk and grab my collapsible trench knife. Hopefully I wont have to use it. I walked over to my window and took a few steps back, as I put the knife gently into my right pocket.

"See ya there." I say as I take a running start and leap out the window and into the sun. The drop was at least fifteen feet, nothing I have not landed before. I hit the pavement and rolled then began to run down the street passing astonished ponies as I went. Mane Street was not to far from here if my memories are correct, I took a sharp left and pulled wall-run to get over the brick barrier. I cleared the wall and hopped down in an alley, I walked to the corner of the alley and peeked around glimpsing at the street name, Mane Street was one more street over.

I trudged out and walked towards my destination while I felt the adrenaline slowly edge away. I crossed the street and reached the end and took a left seeing Rainbow waiting with the bottle and candle set down next to her, I am not even going to question how she carried both.

"Beat ya here! What took you so long slow-poke?" Rainbow called out as I made my approach.

I ignored her ego and tussled her mane. "Thanks Dash, I owe you one." I say as I scoop up the bottle and uncork it.

"No problem bro." She said as she swatted my hand away with her hoof. "What do you have planned anyway?"

I pulled out the cloth from my pocket and stuffed it into the bottle opening. "Oh nothing in particular. You might want to get the fuck out of here though." I say as I pick up the flickering candle. "Like now. Fast. You can meet me at Rarity's boutique later."

Rainbow nods and heeds my warning and zips off with the colors of the spectrum dragging behind her. I shake the Molotov cocktail damping the cloth with the flammable liquid and begin to walk down the street, spotting the red building in the distance on the right. I crossed the cobblestone street once more and looked around seeing if anypony was watching. As I neared the target I saw it was a shop that worked with wood with a display window out front, this was all too perfect.

I lifted the flame to the cloth and lit it, I gripped the bottle in my left hand with index finger and thumb wrapped around the neck and the candle with the remaining fingers pressing it against the bottle. I reached into my right pocket and pulled out my collapsible trench knife, lacing my fingers through the brass knuckles as I approached. I reached the window and I pulled my right arm back and punched through the glass, shattering it completely. I then winded up my left arm and chucked the fire bottle and candle into the shop. The bottle shattered and flames engulfed the room immediately.

Screams and panicked voices emitted as I took off down the road. I jumped over three mares and continued my escape towards Rarity's place. I took a sharp right and stopped because the market place was just ahead. It would not be wise to run through there especially after the crime of arson I just committed. I put the knife back in my pocket then I took a deep breath and began to walk through the market, some ponies staring and others calling out to me.

"Hi Austin!" A tan mare with three pieces of candy as a cutiemark, a blue/pink mane and tail called out. I shrugged and waved, I should probably try to remember names better.

I saw a familiar face in the crowd "Good mornin' Austin." Big Mac said as he crossed left-bound in front of me, dragging a empty cart towards the farm. Which only means another certain mare is close by.

I heard the familiar accent sail through the air. "Howdy thar' Austin, can ah interest ya in somethin'?"

I turned to my right to see 'Fappleapp...?' standing behind a set-up selling apple related assortments. The heavenly aroma caresses nose and my mouth began to droll with anticipation. My stomach roared in hunger as well, then it occurred to me that I never had breakfast in this eventful morning.

She nodded her hatted head and grinned "Sounds like ah could help ya." I realized that she heard my stomach growl and I blushed in embarrassment despite my stern face. She pointed a hoof at a peace of pie, presumably apple, and added "Ah would recommend that right thar'."

I patted my pockets in a futile search for non-existent bits, Matt did not let me spend money for we were on a fixed income, I shrugged to 'whats-her-face' and yanked out a empty left pocket.

She understood my silence and said "Tell ya what how about ah give ya the pie and you can work it off on mah farm. Deal?" I pondered the offer for a second then nodded my head vigorously throwing a small fake smile so I did not seem as odd.

Her smile widened more and she responded to my verbal language "Great! Meet me on mah farm tomorrow at sunrise!"

I gave her a thumbs while she eyed my hand closely as it scooped up the warm pie and I continued my venture to Rarity's. I began to munch on the pie while avoiding the pony-folk about waist high to me. I see several pegasus pushing clouds rush behind me, I don't turn around because I know exactly whats happening, besides cool guys don't look at explosions and even cooler guys don't look at fires they lit, and even cooler-ist guys ride flying dolphins into the sunset wearing cowboy hats and toting guns that shoot glitter that explodes but that is far beyond the point.

I felt a tugging at my pants leg or to be more correct: I felt a tugging at my fucking inner thigh. I immediately yelp and jump back, bumping into other ponies by accident. I brandish my pie as my sole weapon against the demon in front of me.

"Wow you sure are jumpy today!" the bane of my existence spoke. The mare you would know as Lyra Heartstrings stood before me.

"What do you want?" I ask scowling as I walk past her, resuming my face attack on the pie.

"Just wondering if you and Matt were going to Pinkie's party tonight." she said with a sly grin on her face.

"Yes Matt and I will be there." I say through a mouthful, putting emphasis on 'I'.

Lyra is Matt and I's stalker, she has been trying to get in our pants from the first week we got here. I have saved Matt from her well schemed rape attempts several times before but Matt never believed me. He just thinks I am overreacting to her friendliness but I know her true *shudder* plot.

Lyra giggles "Perfect." Dragging out the word then quickly adds "Is Matt still single?, Celestia knows you are, which means both of you are still on the menu right? Of course I am right becaus-"

I drop to a knee, grab her neck pulling her close, and stare at the mint mare right in the face, even her breath smells minty "You fuck with my twin and you fuck with me. Got it?" As I poke her with the crust of the almost finished pie piece.

Her eyes go half lidded and she responds "Hopefully at the same time." as she bites her bottom lip, she has quite obviously picked up on human language.

Her horn then glows and I feel my head turned to the right. "Oh my gosh what happened!? Here let me make it feel better." I feel her lips press on my cheek.

"NOPE!" I scream as I muscle through her magic and jump to my feet, running towards my destination a top speed. "NOPE! NOPE! NOPE! NOPE!" I add as I barrel carelessly through the innocent ponies as I ignore their insults and shouts. I reach the boutique in record time as I throw open the door and slam it behind me not bothering to knock. I see Rarity behind a counter to the left staring at me like I was a monster, I don't blame her, and Rainbow staring at me indifferently from a couch in the middle of the room.

"Yeah he does stuff like that a lot." Rainbow says to Rarity.

"...Charming really..." Rarity adds.

I ignore the chatter and walk up to Rarity's counter, gently unfolding the paper in front of her. She tilts her head and looks at it questionably.

"Could you make two of these? One for my twin and I. Don't tell him by the way, its a surprise." I ask sheepishly.

"Of course, Darling! I could even have it done by tonight's get together. I have to say this is really thoughtful of you, Austin."

"Pfft its nothing really. Do you need any measurements?" I ask.

"No, I still have both of your measurements from last time."

I nod and turn towards Rainbow leaving the paper on the table as I make my way over to the couch. I plop down next to her on the small couch and stuff my face with last piece of pie. I yawn out of boredom as I glimpse at Rainbow who was staring at me intently.

"Yes?" I ask, swallowing the last bit of pie.

"You tired?" Rainbow asks back.

"Just a bit, Why?" I quirk an eyebrow in her direction.

She shifts on the couch a bit "One heck of a good time for a nap huh."

"Absolutely!" I blurt out, trying to get comfortable on the small couch.

After a minute of squirming I finally end up in a position that was the most comfortable, which was not at all, and fell into a weak slumber.

End of chapter two.
