Discord was tired of pulling at the strings of life, tired of pretending to be a statue. What was the point of helping the ponies when they never bothered to listen to a thing he said, choosing instead to call him a monster and attack him.

Discord was starting to think that letting them drive themselves to extinction with their false idea of harmony was the better way to go.

Removing the grey color from his body with a snap of his tail, Discord stepped down from the pedestal that Celestia had placed him on.

Discord walked through the garden, not even a single laugh escaped from his mouth as Celestia's stupid useless guards and citizens of various backgrounds ran away screaming in the direction of the throne room to tell Celestia.

He didn't care, let them try to stop him. He was the omnipotent God of Chaos, nothing they could do had the potential to harm him.

"Stop right there Discord!" Celestia's voice reached his ears.

Discord stopped and turned towards her, not because she told him to, but because she amused him.

"What do you want Celestia?" I'm kind of busy walking forwards while going in reverse..." Discord asked in a bored voice, his dull eyes frightening Celestia much more then when they were lit up with mischief.

"How did you escape this time? I've made sure that my ponies wouldn't cause chaos near your statue." Celestia replied, glaring at Discord.

Sighing in exasperation, Discord's eagle claw shot out, picking a stone off the ground and grinding it into dust between his talons. The dust particles morphing into perfect replicas of the original stone as they descended from his claw.

"I was never trapped in stone to begin with my dear Celestia, it was all just an illusion I put up to make you foolish ponies think everything was fine and perfect."

"Furthermore," Discord continued before Celestia could think up a proper response. "I'm done playing around. For two thousand years I've tried to help you ponies out, but you obviously don't want my help..."

Discord whirled around and continued walking in the direction he had been going before Celestia interupted him.

Discord traveled through Canterlot, ignoring the shrieks and screams of the inhabitants, and proceeded to continue walking in a straight line. Nothing could touch Discord, his body twisting and twirling on it's own to dodge any and all attacks aimed in his direction.

Celestia and Luna followed him the entire way, trying to understand him, not that he cared, Discord ignored them just like everypony else.

It happened shortly after he had arrived in Ponyville. His Chaos, the very thing that had created him, betrayed him.

"Discord STOP!"

Discord's body did as it was told, his mind trying to figure out what was happening to him.

That voice, the voice of Twilight Sparkle, commanded his total attention, it made him want to do anything she said.

He did not like it.

Slowly turning around he faced Twilight, his tail flicking back and forth like a cat's does when it's aggravated.

"Yes?" Discord asked.

The ponies that had followed him from Canterlot looked on in shock. Discord hadn't responded to Princees Celestia or Princess Luna, so why did he listen to Princess Twilight?

"How did you escape?"

Discord could see the scholar in Twilight Sparkle, she was very excited to know how he had escaped.

"I was never trapped in the first place." Discord replied. "I can defy the laws of phyics, did you really think the Elements of Harmony could stop me?"

Turning around without another word Discord continued his journey. He hadn't walked more then a few steps before Twilight's voice rang in his ears again, stopping him in his tracks.

By now the onlookers had all left, content to let the princesses handle the situation.

"Hey! Come back here!"

Discord stopped and turned around once again, resisting the urge to cry out in despair. "What?" He spoke through clenched teeth, his mismatched eyes burning holes in his eyelids.

Twilight tilted her head to the side in confusion. Why was Discord acting like this?

"What's the matter?"

"..."

"It's obvious that something's wrong with you, why don't you explain it to me? Maybe I can help."

Discord reopened his eyes, breathing out heavily through flared nostrils. "I highly doubt it."

"You never know."

"How can you possibly help me when you can't even help yourself?"

Twilight glared up at him. "Now what do you mean by that?" She snapped.

"Do you know what Chaos is? Do you know what it does to the world?"

Twilight rolled her eyes. "It makes ponies unhappy."

Discord sneered at her. "Wrong. Chaos brings change, it allows you little ponies to continue finding better ways of living. If it wasn't for my wonderful Chaos you ponies would still be killing each other left and right. Chaos brings change Twilight Sparkle, do you know what Order brings?"

Twilight frowned at him, her face scrunched up in the most adorable face he had seen since Celestia was a foal, as she processed what he had said.

"I do, but you're just going to tell me that it's wrong."

"Order wants only one thing, for everything to be the same, and that will only happen once everypony is dead. By chasing Order you ponies are driving yourselves to extinction, have fun while you last, because I'm not helping you any longer.

"You preach Harmony, but you're the ones preventing it. Think on that for the next hundred years or so..."
