Mastering the Elements 2: The Unicorn Chronicles

What originally was supposed to be a four day recovery soon became a month due to unneeded “help” from Nurse Pinkie Pie and Nurse Luna. During the month Flower Power became unconscious thanks to his step-father in his head.

“So then have you been training on your magic or flying?” said Star Swirl

“No dad I haven’t. It’s just that I was busy already learning the element of honesty and laughter. What do think I should learn next?” asked Flower Power

“Well it’s up to you son. I’m just dead pony’s voice.” said Star Swirl chuckling at his own joke.

“Yeah I guess” said Flower Power as he saw his father fading away again. “Well looks like it’s time for me to wake up, I wish I could talk with you more, but I have so little magic to give.” said Flower Power

“Well maybe you that’s what you should work on. Study magic again Flower power. I look forward to our next encounter son.” said Star Swirl as he faded away, waving goodbye.

Flower Power began to waken from his unconscious sleep; he opened his eyes and the first think he sees his foalhood friend and uncertain special somepony, Princess Luna and her mane glistening from her sister’s sunshine.

“Your finally wake Flowers. It’s been a month now since I’ve seen your eyes.” said Luna

“It’s nice to see you again Luna. Am I ready to leave this bed now?” asked Flower

“Yes, but first have some breakfast.” said Luna as she was handing him a tray of pancakes, eggs, and juice. “I made it myself, with my own two hooves.”

“Thanks Luna” said Flower power as he took his first bite. His eyes grew wide as the flavor kicked in his mouth. He coughed a little in his mouth, not wanting to let Luna to know how bad the pancakes were before swallowing it. “It’s um…… good?”

“Now then allow me to massage your wings while you enjoy my breakfast.” said Luna as Flower power made a face of displeasure from the breakfast.

“So how long has it been? Anything special happened while I was unconscious?” asked Flower power

“One month now and yes some things did happen.” said Luna as she finished massaging Flower power’s wings and helped his out of the bed “I’ll tell you as we walk out.”

So Flower Power got to stretch out his legs and heard what Luna had to say. What really came to a shock was that they rehabilitated an ex-villain. “So this Discord…. what’s he like?”

“He’s a dragonequus, a beast of chaos, but now he maybe an ally. We still keep an eye on him.” said Luna as she notices him walking down the hall, snapping his fingers, causing things to change. “And here he is. Discord! Stop snapping at once.”

“Is there really a law against listening to a catchy tune in your head? I think not. Want to listen” said Discord as he snapped his fingers to let the tune out of his head.

“Discord…. you’re making a bad impression to our friend here.” said Luna

“It’s alright Luna. I’ll admit it’s kind of catchy.” said Flower Power

“See that? Why can’t you be that loose Luna? Anyways I know of your friend here, another element of harmony, like we need another of those.” said Discord as he snaps once again to have Flower Power wrap his hoof around Luna. “And of course Little Luna’s special somepony. *Bleh* how revolting”

Erick turned red and took his hoof off of Luna. “It’s not like that. Well I mean it might be, but I want to world save first.”

“ha. Good luck with that….. Um…. you know I never really got your name.” said Discord

“It’s Flower. Flower Power.”

That name just sent a chill down Discord’s back “I see… well I’ll be going now.” he said as he snapped to disappear and put everything back in order. “Could that really have been…. No it can’t be. He died in those caves centuries ago. I made sure of it.” he said as he looked in his mind to remember how Flower power looked like as a foal. “But the resemblance is uncanny. How could he have….. Star Swirl. It must have been him. But why couldn’t he remember me?”

“Well that Discord was a…. unusual Dragonequus, but he’s also the first one I met.” said Flower power

They continued to talk some more before they made to the front of the castle, where there was waiting the other elements of harmony was waiting for him.

“Good to see you’re back on your hooves again.” said Applejack

“How are you my good Stallion?” said Rarity

“How’s it going?” said Rainbow Dash

“It’s nice to see you healthy again” said Fluttershy

“Thank you all for coming to see me. Hey wait aren’t you gals missing two?” just as he said that a pink pony tackled him down on the ground, giving him a breath taking hug, literally.

“How are you my very special flower?” said Pinkie Pie

“Fine…. Pinkie, but can’t…. keep up like…. this.” said Erick as he was starting to get woozy, but a purple beam of magic from the sky to pull pinkie away.

“Sorry about that Flower, as you can tell she really misses you.” said Twilight Sparkle

Erick stared at her for a few moments before saying, “Twilight Sparkle? You grew wings!?”

Twilight soon explained the events of the princess coronation and how she became an alicorn. “Well then it’s nice to know I’m friends with another princess.” said Flower Power

"Yeah well just because I’m a princess, doesn’t mean you have to treat me with respect. I’m still the same pony you know.”

“Glad to know that. So what brings you gals here?” asked Flower Power

“We’re here to help you get back to your home to get ready for your training in the elements, but of course you need a day off and we decided to accompany you in your day off.” said Twilight

“That sounds nice, I’m willing to go wherever you gals want to.” said Flower power.

So throughout the day everypony was enjoying each other’s company, Erick caught up to date on what’s been going on in ponyville, nothing out the usual, night came by and they were all waiting at the train station.

“Well once again, we must part ways Luna, tell your sister I said bye and to not worry about my progress.” said Flower Power

“We will miss Erick,” said Luna as she hugged him. “But don’t worry, I’ll always be with you in your dreams” she whispered in his ears as she gave him a peck on the cheek.

Pinkie pie then got between them. “Yeah well you might see him in dreams; I get to see him every day and touch him, so hah.” said Pinkie as she wrapped her hooves around Flower Power’s hoof.

Flower took his hoof out of her grip “Pinkie please, you hug too tight.”

As they got on the train and made their way to the dining cart, Flower made his announcement to the other mane six.

“Why Erick I’m honored that you want to learn about my element of generosity next.” said Rarity

“I’m glad you accepted me madam. Perhaps we may start training on the morrow?” said Flowers

“At the crack of dawn, be at the Carousel Boutique, we’ll have much to do.” said Rarity as everypony finished their plate and wait for the train to stop.

It was nearing midnight, Flower power and the others got off the train and parted ways until morning. The sun was beginning to rise as Flower rubbed his eyes and got out with some fruits for a quick breakfast. He got to the boutique, and began knocking at the door

“Rarity open the door, I have to train.” said Flowers, but nopony responded, he kept on knocking until he got sleepy and rested on the floor. The time was around nine a.m. when he woke up from a door hitting him on the head. “Ow…. watch how far you swing that thing.”

“Sorry Mr. Flowers I’m going to be late for school.” said a little filly with light pink and purple mane.

“Oh sorry Sweetie Belle, where’s your sister?” said Flowers

“She’s still sleeping, she probably want be awake for another hour. Now excuse me I got to get going.” said Sweetie Belle as she ran off to school

“Wait, what!?” said Flowers and he marched up to her room to find her still under her covers, mumbling about her dream. “Wake up.”

“Oh my….please, I simply can’t have one more bite.”

“Wake up!” said Flower Power as he shook her bed.

“Flower, what are you doing here? Can’t you see I’m trying to get my beauty sleep?” said Rarity

“Well you said to be here at the crack of dawn, but instead you kept me waiting out there.” said Flower

“My apologies then,” said Rarity as she got up and put on morning robes, “Now then follow me to the kitchen and we can get started.”

They were both at the kitchen, Rarity was sitting at the dining table, while she used her magic to make Flower Power put on an apron. “Now then, make me breakfast, but just by only using magic.”

“Um, are you sure, I barely know little of magic.” said Flowers as he tried to left up a plate with a levitation spell. “Shouldn’t I just read a book on it?”

“I believe in hooves on training, to be more effective. Now chop-chop, you under a time limit.” said Rarity

"Oh boy this is going to be a long one."
