A second chance

Me and my cousin where on a covert operation, AKA Overlord, I looked over to him "well you know what's inside!?" I yelled "no!"

He yelled over the sound of chopper blades spinning up and taking off."Kilo squad your going to be entering a factory deep within enemy lines!, you are to find what is supposed to be a nuclear warhead!, once inside you will keep radio silence until further notice, and blow the factory sky high! there's a nuclear reactor core in the heart of the compound!, take out the water cooler unit and it will over heat in ten minuets, good luck gentle men!" the commander said "well, now we know whats inside" I muttered, I looked at the factory in aw 'well this might take more than two men to do' I thought to myself the helicopter touched down, and we started moving towards the factory spotting two Tangos.

"I take right you take left"

"two"

"THREE!"

     Ta Ta Ta, I exchanged mag's "Alright, let's keep going we've got a job to do" nodding in agreement we went through a another patrol holding four tangos, we dropped them, easily and entered the factory, seeing the nuclear war head "damn that's a big nuke" my cousin said 'yeah lets get the war head and get outta here' I thought pulling out a camera and taking pictures of the design and the shell that was covering the nuke "I'm going to go take the war head and go wait at the treeline you get the cooling system offline" my cousin said "right" I said as I walked off to take out the cooling system

LATER ON

      I sat in the darkness, waiting for an enemy patrol to pass by one stopped so I pulled out my knife and covered his mouth, while dragging him into the darkness, and snapping his neck, then I proceeded to make my way to the reactor core, I ran through a few more doors, finally reaching the cooling station, I turned the heat up on the water making it boil, then broke the console and proceeded to make my way out of the room, running back through the doors I had come through making loud thump's as I ran I heard an enemy yell something foreign to me, and letting several shots fly I turned a corner seeing the exit, I pulled off my backpack, taking out some C4 and throwing them random places but three or four did go in the direction of the nuke's shell I turned on my radio. "Command, we need a ride out of here!" a few seconds of nothing then a buzzing.

     "Command copy's all Kilo, dispatching a bird to your location, how copy over?" I pressed the button on my radio "Kilo has solid copy Command, and get here quick, that nuclear reactor core is going off in nine minutes and twenty three seconds!" I yelled into my radio and kept on running I turned a corner and ran to the exit while running I pulled out the C4 detonator  and pulled the trigger setting off a series of explosives. Behind me I burst through the entrance door running for the treeline "man we gotta get outta here! commands dispatched a bird already, just keep running!" I yelled to my cousin grabbing him by the arm pulling him up and running back to the LZ. I saw the helicopter fly over us and land two-hundred yard's away

as I put on more speed  to get to the only extraction from this hellhole when I reached the helicopter I swung the door open and threw myself in to the safety of the armored bird. I turned around to see my cousin being mauled by a dog I pulled out my pistol took aim and fired I ran back out to aid him. the dog had bit him in all along his thigh 'damn' I thought while helping him up and rushing him to the helicopter I stepped into the armored bird once again closing the door behind me I felt the helicopter lift up off the ground and fly off.

The medics got to work right away I sat there staring at the wound it was bleeding...badly too, I got up walked over to the open window to see enemy's pouring out of the tree's, I suddenly felt the urge to run back to the factory to make sure something had gone wrong,...but even though we where here to take down a nuke that was currently on board something was off,...I looked out to the factory to see a glowing radiant light, then an explosion the helicopter was going down I was flung against the door, I looked back to see my cousin hanging on to the chair pole, the medics had gotten flung out on the other side, I got my balance and looked out the window to catch a glimpse of a wall being hurtled at the helicopter, the last thing I remember is a darkness then light.

A voice seemed to be telling me to calm down and that every thing would be alright and the a second chance is what we deserved me and my cousin for some reason I felt at peace with this entity something in it's voice was smooth and calming then several more figures enter'd my field of vision they where purple/lavender,pink,orange,cyan,white,and yellow and a few golden i suddenly felt a hot liquid around my hand i realized it was blood not mine but...my cousin's (Code Name: striker) reality came crashing down around me in a heap of colors and shape's I was focused on one only the other human figure here so I could tell I regained my focus and remembering my medical training. I took off my vest and then my shirt. I ripped a chunk off, and tied it around the wound of my cousin.

I felt several hands come in contact with my shoulders pulling in the other direction. I needed to attend to him quickly stood up pulled my pistol and shot the ground in front of the feet...er...hoof's? of the thing pulling me I then turned my attention back to my cousin. running back to him dropping to my knees again I felt his heart stop pumping ''OH HELL NO OH HELL NO! You are not going any where on my Watch you son of a bitch!'' I  screamed at him.finally letting my combat training kick in I ripped his vest off and threw it over with mine. Then performed CPR doing mouth to mouth pumping on his chest to try and jump start his heart on the third try I got response and made sure he was gonna live after doing so, I simply fell to the grass below me and blacked out from the actions of to day...dying coming back to life and saving strikers life had drained me so I now sat there waiting to come back to the world of the living...hopefully

I was going about my daily crap and stuff when I sensed a weird feeling like the feeling you get when you know a jump scare is going to happen? yeah that one, only it was the brim of day,yet I felt like something was off even with the guards around the castle constantly patrolling I felt...unsafe. Even though I knew discord was reformed,and my sister was no longer NightMare Moon, and chrysalis was gone, I felt as if...some, alien life form had come to our world and had bad intention's, a guard suddenly rushed in to the room, he was out of breath "Yes?, what is it guard?" I asked, him in a smooth silky tone "Ma'am there's some action going on at ponyville where twilight sparkle resigns, as well as the other five elements of harmony, the Guards there have some sort of creature, and it seem's to be a soldier of some sort" the guard said, waiting for my response, I looked at him and nodded "Okay these orders are to be in effect until further notice one:keep these beings away from the press, make sure the elements of harmony do not know of any of this secondly: I want them in Canterlot Test Facility, (CTF) run test, and if there hurt heal them, run test on them, and scan for anything inside them." I looked to the guard, and nodded the he was gone out the door to give the orders 'I knew this day was gonna get bad for me.'
