Chapters Twilight Sparkle, a new princess of Equestria, worked a long, boring day of writing letters to some of her prized students. The lavender alicorn smashed her quill on the paper in exaggeration and stacked it on another set, switched to another letter and laid her head on her wrist with her elbow on the table while she read it. After reading it in a few seconds, she dragged the quill across the paper, ink streaking into words as the alicorn sighed. She did this on and on until a yellow-armored guard opened the giant doors leading to her private workroom.
"Your majesty," The guard said as he bowed. "Princess Celestia excuses you home, she feels you have worked hard enough." Twilight dropped the quill in her telepathic grasp and pushed her chair away from the desk. Getting out of the chair, the lavender princess sighed in exhaustion and walked up the royal stairs up to her room, her head down.
The sound of two guards walking towards her made her fasten her trotting. Guuuh...I feel so weird when those guards try to...guard me. It doesn't feel very right... Twilight said in her mind. As the guards approached, Twilight jerked around and saw that Shining Armour and another guard were behind her. Shining's eyes lit up when he saw her.
"Twily! It's been so long! I heard you were going to bed, and since it's my royal duty as a guard to guard you, I felt that since I'm a guard and your brother, it would be good bonding time for us!" Shining tried to catch up to Twilight; she was now galloping. The other guard was also trying to catch up with the purple princess, but tripped and didn't try to follow again.
"Twi - why - are - you - running - so fast?!" The brother screamed through bursts of speed. Twilight didn't slow down - instead, she ran even faster, and when she got to her room she slammed the door, locking it and collapsing on her bed.
"Twilight! What are you doing?" Shining screamed, knocking on the door. Twilight opened her wings and teleported to the door, jerking it open with a grunt.
"Listen, brother, I'm sorry! I can't talk right now, I'm exhausted. I'll talk to you tomorrow, okay?" Twilight sighed, closing the door, not listening for a response. Shining grunted a "okay" and walked slowly down the stairs. Twilight trotted back to her bed and cuddled under the covers, scrunching her muzzle up and taking off her crown. As her eyes closed, she pulled the blanket closer to her face as she tried to go to sleep.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
At 12:35, she awoke and Twilight couldn't go back to sleep. She had tried a glass of warm milk, daydreaming, listening to calm music, reading and rolling around in bed. Her eyes wouldn't allow her to sleep. Instead, she put on her crown and went for a walk outside the royal castle. Twilight still never got sleepy, but the beautiful, black, starry night sky made her want to sleep. During the walk, she decided to bring a book with her incase she got bored.
Soon, her assumptions were infact correct as she looked for a place to read the 2,659 paged book. The lavender princess looked at some benches - too uncomfortable. She found an oddly shaped bush - she found out it was a rose bush and quickly got out before her flank was covered in thorns. She looked above and saw a big, puffy cloud in the sky. She fluffed her wings open and flapped them as she rested on the cloud placed in the sky. The wind made the cloud move as if being pushed (which she found awkward), but Twilight didn't mind much at all. Instead, she opened the book to where she put the red, silky bookmark and started reading. Halfway through her reading, however, a weird growl made her shut the book on accident, loosing her place where she was reading.
If she wasn't fully awake before, she was more than fully awake now. The growl happened again, more louder and scarier now. Twilight's senses were more growing more accurate as the growl grew louder. Tired of this weird noise, she thrust her body away from the cloud, the book in her telepathic grasp, and glided off the puffy cottonball and into the sky, avoiding any weird noises coming from any creepy places or nearby houses. Before leaving the cloud, though, she saw a giant white angel - with protruding hair on the back of it's head, a giant engine-looking thing as a tail, a hound-like snout, bird-like feet and blue rings around it's wrists (which had giant wing flaps coming out from it) - whizz past her, but she was barely able to see the giant beast before it disappeared out of sight and nowhere to be seen.
Twilight kept gliding along the night sky until she saw the royal castle placed upon the giant mountain cliff. She closed her left wing, her other right wing opened wide, making her make a sharp turn and straight towards the castle. Her hooves finally touched the ground as she walked back up the royal stairs and up to her room, watching out for guards. As she settled in her bed and under the covers, her mind couldn't resist thinking out loud.
"What was that?" She asked herself, slowly falling asleep as the thought of the giant angel filled her mind. Her dreams were also filled with the giant angel.
The next morning, Twilight was awoken at 5:00 AM due to a letter popping in her ear, making her jump. The princess sat up in bed and examined the clock, then looking at the letter and slapping her forehead. She reluctantly grabbed the letter with her magic, a purple aura covering the paper, and starting reading. It read, "Time for work!". After reading she stared at her bathroom as the letter burned up in her telepathic grasp. As she turned her head, a pillow with her face on it said,
No time to sleep, get up and work!
"Says everyone in the world..." Twilight murmured sarcastically as she got out of bed to brush her teeth and mane. Afterwards, she grabbed her crown with her horn magic and put it on her head, ignoring that it was almost about to fall off. Twilight opened the door and walked out, heading towards her workroom. During her walk, she saw Shining Armour walk past her, not talking to her or noticing her. Twilight's attention snapped back to reality as she realized Shining wasn't really there, but only a white-coated unicorn guard. She continued walking to her workroom until she opened the giant doors.
Twilight sat down in her chair, looking at new letters sent to her during the night. She picked one up with her magic and started reading it, ignoring the bad grammar and bad spelling displayed with black writing. Twilight picked up a quill with her magic and dipped it in a small bottle of red ink and crossed out words that were misspelled and respelled them correctly. Then, she dipped the quill in a small bottle of blue ink - making the words purple - and wrote her response to the letter.
She did this over and over until a guard walked in, telling her that she was excused to go home. Twilight looked at the clock and saw that it was only 8:00 AM. She decided it was a holiday and Celestia thought it was early release so she packed up her things and headed upstairs.
No guards were watching, so she opened her bedroom door and went inside, locking the door from the inside and then opening her window. She flew out and did circles in the air, twisting and turning even though she knew she probably looked ridiculous. Twilight continued to do this until she got bored. She lowered herself on a branch from a tree and watched other ponies as they did their day. As Twilight looked up, she saw an enormous swan flying above - no, she was seeing things. That wasn't a swan - it was Celestia. Twilight's face lit up as she opened her wings and flew to her guardian.
Celestia saw her student and smiled, lowering onto a cloud. Twilight did as well. The elder alicorn closed her wing around Twilight, looking up into the sun.
"Hey, Celestia?" Twilight asked after a long wait.
"What is it, my prized pupil?" Celestia replied, looking back down onto her. Twilight pondered for a second.
"Yesterday, I saw a giant angel thing...and it was HUGE! It had an engine as a tail and some hair on it's head and it - it was flying so fast!" Celestia gasped at the short description as she opened her wings and glided off the cloud. Twilight stopped her from escaping.
"Your majesty, WAIT! Where are you going?!" Twilight screamed to her over her powerful wings making such a noise. Celestia simply nodded and yelled back, "If I don't do something now, that giant angel could destroy all of Equestria! I will see you in a few minutes, my student!"
Twilight plopped her bottom back onto the cloud, watching as her mentor flew off into the sun as loud growls echoed the sky. What was Celestia talking about? What does she mean the angel could destroy all of Equestria? Twilight decided to shake it off and fly back to the royal castle. Celestia might be there after all.
The small alicorn fluttered off the castle, same as yesterday as she glided across the land until she found the castle. It was still day, and an hour has only passed. Twilight sighed as she walked into her open window, shuttering at the change of temperature of the room. Since the window was open, clouds had floated in and made her bedroom very foggy. Her wings flapped as hard as she could and the clouds floated back outside, Twilight shutting the window behind them. Sadly, her stuff hadn't been covered in clouds (which she very much wanted).
After checking her room, Twilight opened her bedroom door and headed down to the throne room. Celestia was there, chatting with Luna. The blue princess of the night was rubbing her sister's back, a worried look plastered upon her face. Celestia appeared to be sniffing. When Twilight entered the room, both Princesses looked at her with worry.
"Celestia? L-Luna...? What are you two doing he-"
"THOU MUSN'T TALK TO OTHERS ABOUT THE INFORMATION SPOKEN ABOUT THIS AFTERNOON! IT IS TOP SECRET!" Luna screamed to Twilight, the younger princess almost being blown away from her voice. The enormous doors burst open, allowing ponies walking by the door look inside with excitement and wonder. Celestia joked something to Luna that sounded like, "Thou musn't talk to others so loud, sister." Luna blushed as Celestia told the passerbyers to walk away, her closing the giant doors with her magic.
"Twilight, thou hast to be spoken with about thy discovery of the 'giant angel. Big sis and I have heard of this creature and it is named 'Reshiram.'"
"Reshiram? What's that?" Twilight asked, saying the name in an offending way. Luna sighed and picked up a photo of the enormous creature and enlarged it, as big as a flatscreen. Twilight recognized the picture immediately.
"Hey, that's what I saw yesterday!" Twilight gasped. Celestia nodded, acting as if she knew this already. Luna did the same.
"Big sis and I have already known of your discovery. Reshiram can breath fire and can fly. Thus, it's like a furry dragon." Luna explained. Twilight's head lowered a bit, thinking about the facts.
"I can see why Celestia would say that now. But dragons rarely ever come and attack us unless they are angry! We saw at the volcano! Remember when that red teenage dragon called you a mamby pamby pony princess-"
"YES, I can remember that CLEARLY well, Twilight!" Celestia interrupted quickly, louder than she meant to. This sudden burst of voice made both Luna and Twilight jump back in fear. Celestia realized what she just did and coughed sternly, allowing them to realize it was an accident. Twilight continued talking, a bit more scared of saying more than she wanted to.
"Sorry, Celestia. So...why would it destroy all of Equestria if dragons only attack when angered?"
"That is the problem," Luna sighed. "Big sis saw Reshiram flying in the sky earlier. She hast noted it was the ancient Reshiram, the giant dragon thou saw yesterday. The reason Tia is afraid of Reshiram is because when Reshiram is angry it has the ability to call on other legendaries. Then, Reshiram will try to attack town for whatever reason thou is angered. Big sis and I still have no idea it is mad. It only comes to different dimensions, threatening our and thine worlds, is because thy is very angry or because thy did it on accident. Though, Reshiram and Zekrom both have the ability to teleport back to thy's own dimension."
"Who's Zekrom?" Twilight asked.
"We think it's an opposite of Reshiram." Celestia said quickly. Luna nodded.
"Remember Twilight," Luna said suddenly. She handed her a pink, glass shard. "Don't speak of the information spoken of this morning. And keep that safe, thou is very important incase Reshiram goes out of control. That fairy type shard is the only thing that can even hurt Reshiram."
Twilight nodded and walked out of the room, the pink shard hidden under her wing as she walked back to her room.
As Twilight walked back to her room, she silently covered her face with her right wing while she used her left wing to hold the shard and observe it (she was still walking while this was happening). By doing this, she made other random ponies think she was crying, but it wasn't that important to her. Soon she found her room and went inside.
She held the shard in her magic, being able to see and feel it better now. The shard was dark pink with a shade of some faint white scratches on the rims, indicating that whoever handled it last didn't do it well. When in sunlight, the whole shard turned black, but an image of a fairy could be seen in the middle that couldn't be seen in normal light.
Twilight put the shard down carefully and went to go get a display case. She searched through an old shelf and found a round one, just the perfect size and shape as if it were made for it. She levitated the small shard and placed it carefully into the case, closing it and setting it down by the window. Sunlight shined on it, making the fairy-like image shimmer and turn completely white. It shined like that for a few minutes before it became normal.
"That was weird...I hope it doesn't do that again, it could attract pegasi to check it out." Twilight said before placing it under her bedsheets and leaving the room, heading outside for a walk in the park.
She opened the giant royal doors and the outside showed its beauty. The grass was dark green, indicating healthy grass despite the lack of rain due to the weather pegasus captain being absent for 2 weeks in a row. The trees had a similar color for leaves and the bark was hazel brown. Royal Guards were standing near the doorway and bowed when she left the castle. Twilight trotted down the path until she found a bench to sit on.
Foals, fillies and some adults watched her read her long book. One colt even asked for her autograph! Even though she was annoyed by the fame she gets almost every day, she made an exception for kids and strangers. She was the element of magic, for pete's sake! When the crowd decreased, she was able to read her novel in peace.
The sun was still in the sky an hour later. Twilight slammed the book shut. She was finally done with the last Harry Potter book in the series! Making the book teleport back to her room, she stretched and placed her hooves back on the path. Ponies weren't in the roads anymore, meaning Twilight was alone. She made her saddlepack teleport to her, and she took out a small applejuice box. She was about to stab the straw into the box until a rustling in the bushes made her jump and drop the juicebox, making it spill all over the bench and dirt below her.
Twilight looked over at the bush, wondering what was causing her to spill her royal juicebox! Her answer was solved when a small, plump, green dinosaur-thing with a flower bud on it's back revealed itself from the bushes. It had red eyes and green spots covering it's body. Twilight cocked her head.
"Bulba! Bulbasaur!" The dinosaur barked in a scratchy voice. Twilight's eyes blinked in surprise. What is that? Why is it here? A dinosaur in Equestria? I thought they were extinct! How can it talk? Is it an alien? Why is it green? Is it sick? It seems to have chicken pox...maybe Fluttershy can try to heal it! Oh, but she'll faint at seeing a baby DINOSAUR! Maybe it's actually a baby, deformed, fat, sick, foal! With...a inborn plant on it's back? No, no...maybe it's a type of plant? Wait...this thing seems to be unable to move. Oh, the poor thing! Twilight frantically thought, levitating it and placing it in her saddlebag. It stayed there, obviously liking the spot where it was in. Due to random circumstances, Twilight decided to name it "Flytrap" and considered the dinosaur a boy.
Twilight immediately searched her royal library for a book on these creatures. Surprisingly, there was only one book on it. The book cover was dark blue with white slashes in the background and the title, "Pokémon." It had a ball picture on the front; the top was scarlet red, and blank white on the bottom, the two colors being separated by a black line and a white button in the middle.
She opened the book and was only able to find one picture: the small dinosaur. It's name was displayed on the top as "bulbasaur" and had a bunch of details on the bottom.
"'Grass type'? 'Super effective against water types'? 'Is able to learn'...wow that's a lot of moves," Twilight glanced at the 'Bulbasaur' and saw it crawling out of the bag.
Almost immediately, his flower bud had bunches of vines pouring out of it. The vines wrapped around a book and brought it towards his mouth, almost as quick as lightning. Flytrap sucked on it while Twilight had her mouth agape.
"Maybe I should show you to my friends..." She muttered, thinking about the other elements of harmony. Flytrap stopped sucking and dropped the book, deciding to listen despite his lack of understanding pony language and only knowing how to say his species' name. Twilight giggled, levitating the soaking book into the bookshelf, and walked outside her room and into the castle's kitchen. When the guards opened the door for her, she trotted inside and grabbed as much food as she could. She paused a second, deciding to think over this.
"Wait...if it's made of grass, it might not want to eat fruit due to fruit being a part of a plant." Twilight realized, putting the fruits back and grabbing one apple for herself and teleported back to the library, only to find Flytrap sleeping on a book titled "The history of Ponies." Twilight couldn't resist a laugh before laying down next to to him.
"What am I gonna do with you..." She laughed.
After bringing home the small Flytrap, Twilight avoided letting anyone in her room in fear of somepony finding him, talking about him near Celestia and her taking him away forever. She didn't even let the guards in when they were serving her dinner! Instead, she would carry him around in her saddlebag when she wanted to go out. While walking down the stairs, she avoided Shining Armor at all costs, Even though he was her brother, she didn't want him tattle-tailing about her having a pet Bulbasaur.
Twilight decided to go into the kitchens for a quick snack, since the guards serving her dinner stopped due to her telling them to shoo. She looked through the fridge for something, but all she found that was interesting was an apple. After eating, Twilight headed towards the door, yet a small book shined in the room and kept her there, obviously interesting her. She picked up the book with levitation and gasped at the title.
"H-How...? Why is there another Pokémon book here? It could cause somepony to see it!" Twilight said quietly as she opened the book. The title glowed gold as, "How to bake Pokepuffs". The Table Of Contents was very long, consisting of 2 pages full of types of 'Pokepuffs' she could bake.
"Cherry, Lime, Salsa, Dark Chocolate, Coffee, White Chocolate, Lemon, Strawberry, Watermelon, Grape, Blueberry, Orange, Lemon Meringue, Bubblegum, Mousse...Wow, that's a lot of flavors..." She listed. Flytrap wrapped one of his vines around a pipe above her and swung to Twilight's back to look over her shoulder while she read. He licked his hatch-like mouth as he looked at a certain word from the TOC page: Light Chocolate. Twilight laughed silently for a bit before she opened the book to his desired page.
Shining with a light brown, the title said exactly what the Table of Contents addressed it as. A picture of a rounded sweet was on the page, having three layers of brown: the top being light brown; the middle being thin and white like cream; and the bottom being a darker brown than the top. The princess read the instructions and started on the sweet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few 30 minutes later later
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After Twilight had spent around 10 minutes for each layer of chocolate, she read that she had to place the small cupcake in the oven. Twilight did as the book had told and reached for the oven - but stopped immediately when she saw the stove was already glowing, despite the fact that it was off. Flytrap seemed interested in what the problem was, too, as he was watching the stove expectantly.
The oven wobbled, making both of them jump back - Twilight jumped farther due to her wings. When it wobbled again, Flytrap shrieked, "BUUUULB!" and ran behind her. The oven shook once more before the burners on the top blasted fire vertically in the air - while that happened, the stove hatch fell open and a bipedal lizard hopped out. Since the light suddenly shut off, it's face was hard to make out, but a tongue of flame on it's tail made it's face visible on the right side. It had blue eyes - with 2 small but rather large eyelashes coming out of the side - with big pupils, an orange body with a yellowish belly and sharp fangs hanging out of it's mouth. The burners stopped blasting and the light flickered on again, and when Twilight heard the guards coming in she hid them into her saddlebag (along with the book and raw pokepuffs) and ran out the door before they could notice anything.
When Twilight finally managed to enter her room in peace, she let the two Pokémon out of her saddlebag and levitated the books onto her bed. Since the creature was into clear view now, Twilight could see it better.
Solar is what popped in her head instantly. Solar seemed like a cool name, and it was unisex too, so either way it's a win-win even though Solar was looking more female than male due to the eyelashes.
"I wonder what you are..." Twilight muttered. Flytrap nudged her with a certain Pokemon book in his mouth - the one she discovered that records Pokémon info when met. Twilight hovered the book and read it - a new page had been filled in.
This time, the orange reptile was in the new page, with the name "Charmander" glittering on the top. So Solar is a Charmander, Eh? Twilight thought in her head. Flytrap squeaked again, this time holding a chocolate raw PokePuff in his vines. Twilight giggled and looked around her room. There was no stove, obviously, so how was she going to cook it?
Flytrap talked to Solar, except that Twilight couldn't hear anything but "Bulb! Bulbasaur saur saur bulba!" and, from Solar's face, it didn't look like she understood either.
"Flytrap," Twilight sighed, the bulbasaur paying attention to his name. "I don't think she can understand you..."
Solar barked out, "CHAAAR! Mander!" and Twilight took it as "NOOO! I can!" and giggled again. She waddled up to Twilight, Pokepuff in her claws, and set it down on the floor. She motioned for Twilight to scoot far away and to levitate the PokePuff. Twilight did, and levitated it to Solar's eyesight. All of a sudden, Solar's body lit on flames as it screeched, "CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!"
A huge burst of flame erupted from her mouth. Flytrap had scooted farther away from her, since her was made up of grass and Solar was made up of fire. Twilight shrieked, which made Solar stop breathing flames and stopped being lit on fire. Her big, blue eyes looked at Twilight and then the PokePuff.
"Wow...you...cooked it!" Twilight said, amazed. Solar grabbed the one she was levitating and took a large bite, then handed it to Flytrap (who scooted closer since the fire had died down) and he ate the rest. Twilight and them did this until 3 were left over. The lavender alicorn decided to stuff these into an empty jar, which she placed with all her other things.
"I'm tired...don't do any trouble while I'm asleep, alright?" She yawned at the two creatures. They nodded and layed down on the floor. Twilight laughed and headed for her bed - yet, Solar and Flytrap were already sleeping soundly on her pillow, acting so innocent as if they were already there. Twilight ignored this and picked up Solar and placed her on the bedsheets. She was resistant at first, but then Solar adjusted to the sheets and closed her eyes.
Twilight did the same, smiling.
Squirtle (Mane Six find out!)
Now, taking care of both a giant lizard and a green dinosaur can be frustrating for Twilight.
Solar kept burning everything she thought was eatable, along with scratching things to sharpen her claws. Twilight didn't like doing it, but she had to take out a squirt-gun and shoot her quickly a few times in the face to make her stop - Twilight read up on Charmanders and avoided shooting her in the tail-flame at ALL costs.
Flytrap was a bit different. Solar and him didn't get along as well as Twilight thought they would. Solar would occasionally snap her claws, causing a flicker of flame to erupt from her hands as she teased him about lighting him on fire. When Solar was sleeping, Flytrap would slap her with a vine and quickly run away before she could burn him like the recent chocolate Pokepuffs.
Migraines would occur as well. Royal Duties too. When a migraine happened, Twilight would scream at the top of her lungs for Solar to stop burning some of the books fallen from the shelves, or to make Flytrap to stop overgrowing the plant outside the house with his powers. This screech would make both the creatures cover their ears for protection, yet they would keep on causing shenanigans when she calmed down.
Royal Duties bothered her more. To keep the small critters safe, she was forced to leave them at home while she went to go write letters to her students about what they learned. When coming home, the house would be a mess and Twilight would have to clean everything. On late nights, however, when she got home around 11:00 she would find the two crying somewhere around the house. This gave Twilight the feeling of a parent. They cared about her, even though they were totally different species. When she was gone, did they really care for her, or were they just loving her because she gave them food and water? Twilight tried to think of it being the first reason, yet the thought of the second always floated in her head occasionally.
_________________________________________________
"SOOOOLAAAAR!" Twilight screamed, the orange fire-type snapping to her attention. "Quit it! You already burned 5 books today, 8 if you count the ones right now!" Again, Twilight was correct. Solar was holding 3 small books in her hands, all piled up, as she burned them with her mouth flames. They were turned to ashes as they fell the ground.
Flytrap was asleep near the window, his left hind-leg twitching. Solar rolled her beady eyes and crossed her arms, blowing a small tongue of flame towards him; this action made him shriek, obviously awake as he ran behind Twilight.
"Solar, I know you hate him but please, * PLEASE*** don't try to burn him!" Twilight scolded. Solar giggled a scratchy laugh and sneered. Twilight sighed and jumped her bed, collapsing immediately. She was about to moan in tiredness when a letter appeared, looking as if it were sent by Celestia. The letter seemed to be by her friends back in Ponyville, especially since it had green flames - the flames of Spike.
"Dear Twilight,
This is Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, AppleJack, Spike, Pinkie Pie and Rarity. We've all been hearing screams and howls coming from the Cantorlot Castle. Has Celestia noticed yet? If so, has she gotten in touch with you? I've heard she went to Saddle Arabia again to check on her Arabian students, but her flight pony - the one that flies her carriage around - had a broken wing due to him crashing into a thunder cloud during the flight; I think her 'vacation' will have to be delayed for a few days, so we understand if she hasn't. Since you're a princess and you have your responsibilities and your own rules in your life, we'd love it if you could come to Ponyville with us for a few weeks. Luna had to rule the castle while Celestia was gone, so that's covered. But, if you're too busy we fully understand. Being a princess can be hard with all the students and work to be done, but we haven't seen you in a while and we've been hoping we could soon. Hope to see you soon, princess!
~Love, Mane Six and Spike." Twilight read aloud.
Twilight closed the letter in her magic and set it down on her dresser. She hadn't noticed that Solar and Flytrap had jumped onto her bed as well, looking at the letter in curiosity. The lavender princess giggled and pet both their heads - feeding them a PokePuff, too - and grabbed a piece of paper and a quill with her telepathic grasp. She started writing letters to certain students about her leaving, and then sending them off. One last letter for Luna. she thought.
'Dear Luna, I'll be gone for a few weeks. If you need me, I'll be at my library in Ponyville. Please contact me if trouble comes along at the castle, okay? I hope Celestia is okay!
Love, Twilight Sparkle.' She wrote, sending the letter off immediately.
She started packing her things, first of all. Placing the pink shard's case into another suitcase, she shoved other stuff into the suitcase too. Clothes weren't needed, as nothing special was coming up and she didn't like wearing clothes on a daily basis. She placed her crown on her head and set the case down. Solar and Flytrap! Twilight thought before leaving. How could I forget so easily? She stuffed the jar of Pokepuffs into a different suitcase and put a few toys in it as well.
"How am I gonna get you two to Ponyville without anyone seeing you...?" Twilight muttered to them. They shook their heads, not knowing how, and continued watching her. She thought for a moment before an idea popped in her head as she smirked at them.
Everypony looked strangely at Twilight as she trotted downtown. Her, 'hat' had a flame on the top and a green dinosaur curled up around it. Of course, they knew it wasn't real, but it sure looked weird. It's working! It's working! Twilight thought to herself. as she flew towards Ponyville.
Finally, they got there and she walked inside. The smell of freshly printed books filled the room. When she took her first steps in, she turned the lights on with her magic and set the two creatures down, shutting the door abruptly. Twilight sighed and stretched her wings, the flight being tiring and exhausting. A single, familiar gasp made Twilight shriek and jump infront of the two creatures, covering them with her wings.
"Twilight what are those? Are they dangerous? Are they the ones making you scream every night? If so, what do they do? They're so cute that I wanna pet them and squeeze them and hug them and kiss them and feed them, but I don't wanna pet them and squeeze them and hug them and kiss them and feed them if they're evil and dangerous!" Pinkie's squeaky voice blabbed. Twilight breathed calmly in and out.
"Yes, the do make me scream every night."
The group gasped and Spike - who just walked in - punched his fist in his open hand.
"I'll get them, Twilight! Don't you worry!" Spike screamed as he charged towards Solar - trying to go for a headbutt. He charged with all his might, screaming - but he was abruptly stopped when an orange hand was placed on his forehead, stopping him from attacking. His feet kept sliding, meaning he was running in place while Solar sneered.
"Spike, there's no need to attack," Twilight muttered. "they're here because I want them safe." Spike stopped running and backed away, looking at Twilight for an explanation.
A few more explanations and talk occurred before Twilight introduced their names. "This is Solar and Flytrap, they are harmless unless you make them mad or you hurt them." After that, the ponies learned about how she met them and what happened since she found them. There's one thing she didn't tell them about, though.
Reshiram.
Talking about Reshiram infront of her friends could mean they would know everything. Talking about it was painful all by itself, anyway.
If Pinkie knew about it, she might blabber on about it to other ponies, and then they would blabber on about it and it would keep blabbering until Celestia found out she told them. She remembered that Luna told her to 'keep the information talked about today secret', so Luna would most likely find out first and punish her.
If Rarity knew, she might do the same thing Pinkie might do, except Rarity would call it "gossip."
If Rainbow knew, she might find it 'cool' and brag to other ponies about her finding Reshiram first. Then, Luna might punish Rainbow, or she might've known that Twilight told her instead.
If Applejack knew, well, somepony might overhear Twilight telling AJ about Reshiram and ask the Earth Pony infront of Luna, and, being the element of Honesty, she would have to tell everything she knew about it.
If Fluttershy knew, the information might just make her faint or she would have the information squeezed out of her.
I can't think dark thoughts like that...it might make me crazy or something... Twilight thought to herself. Pinkie spoke up before anyone else could say a thing.
"Hey, Twilight, why are you looking so sad?" She squeaked. She, was infact, correct. Twilight had a worryfull look on her face and quickly smiled when mentioned.
"I'm not sad! I just...just...j-just thought if you guys would like to....to...stay at my place tonight...because I thought you would say no! Yeah, that's what I was thinking! Heheh..." Twilight stuttered, thinking of something quick before they did find out.
And, of course, they didn't suspect a thing and said yes.
"Yay," Twilight squealed. "It'll be just like a sleepover!" Now she had a good thought in her head and Reshiram's thought completely dissolved away. Applejack and Rarity glanced eachother worried looks, yet a fake smile told Twilight they weren't going to enjoy it much.
"I'll go get the supplies and stuff, you guys can stay here, okay?" Twilight said to them as she climbed her stairs to her bedroom.
She actually didn't get the supplies and instead flew out the window, closing the door behind her, and flew to a lake in a forest nearby.
The water shimmered with a bright blue and stood out from everything. It seemed to glow in the dark forest. Twilight looked up and saw the moon glowing in the night sky. Wow, did it take her that long to fly to Ponyville?
Anyway, she dipped her head in the water and sighed. She really did need a break from being a princess. She didn't want her wings gone, but she wanted to have her royal duties stripped away from her life a while. This vacation was exactly what she needed.
All of a sudden, a small, brown turtle shell floated to the water's surface. Twilight was confused for a second - weren't all turtle shells in her world supposed to be green with spots? Then again, she suspected it to be a rare turtle and flipped it over. It wasn't at all of what she expected.
The turtle's face was baby blue, similar to it's hands and feet. It had brown eyes and a yellowish belly-shell with white rims. It also had a beak-like mouth - but not too beak-ish - and it waved it's small arms as it tried to flip back over. Twilight realized it's goal and did it for it.
The turtle-creature swam back to the bottom of the lake and didn't come back up for some time. Right when Twilight decided to go back to her room the turtle jumped out of the water and grabbed her by the hoof, pulling her into the lake. She pushed her face up out of the water to get some breath.
"What was that for?" She gasped. The turtle giggled and swam back under the waves, then erupting and laughing, splashing water at her. "Oh, water fight? Well, it's a water fight you'll get!" She playfully said as she used her wings to flap loads of water at the turtle. Surprisingly, it's hands grew close together as the water in the lake infront of it rose, creating a large wave - then, the wave came crashing down on her, leaving her in complete shock.
"You're definitely not a normal turtle..." Twilight said as she picked him up and brought him to her room. She explained what happened to her friends, dried off with a towel in the bathroom, got the supplies for the sleepover and went to bed. She was too tired to play in the sleepover like she wanted to, but she sure was ready to play with her new friends.
Solar and Flytrap greeted her with their normal name calling ("Bulbaaaaa!" "Mander!") as she petted them on the heads and fed them PokePuffs. She introduced the creature to them - the creature didn't seem very strong against Flytrap, yet Solar was terrified, and stayed as far away as possible.
She opened her suitcase (which she just remembered was in the living room and teleported it to her room) and picked out the Pokémon book - the one that records information. Like Twilight suspected, a new page about the turtle was filled in with the title, Squirtle.
"Squirtle, water type, huh? No wonder Solar's afraid of you," Twilight muttered as she glanced at Solar. She was holding her fiery tail in her grasp of her claws and was close to crying.
"How about I name you," Twilight said to the creature, petting it's head. "Shelldon?" Shelldon nodded his head and jumped with delight. "Shelldon it is, then!"
Caterpies - Caterpies EVERYWHERE
Now that Shelldon had been owned by Twilight, things have been getting a bit better. Shelldon seemed to pay attention more than the other two, and helped Twilight a lot whenever Solar seemed to be acting up. By squirting water at Solar a few times, she would calm down a bit and behave - even though an hour later she would be rambunctious again. He also remembered not to squirt her in the tail at ALL, even if she was about to burn down the whole library.
Still, Shelldon didn't seem to like Flytrap that much. When Flytrap would take out one of his vines for non-attacking reasons, he would scream ("SQUIIIRT!") and hide behind something. Flytrap would laugh out loud at this, but Twilight would find out eventually and do something to make him stop.
With work out of the way, all she had to worry about now was stress and somepony else finding out. Luna responded to her letter quickly and said she'd take over the castle while both Celestia and her were out, and Twilight had nothing to worry about.

Twilight's clock rang, making her grunt and attempt to swat at it with her hoof - it failed, and only made her fall off her bed and onto the floor. Since her bed was ontop of a balcony-type thing, she fell down to the library's floor instead. Being an alicorn it didn't hurt her much and she ignored it as if it was normal. After all, she did just move into her old library and didn't adapt to her new balcony bed just yet.
She stretched her wings and legs and walked towards her kitchen. Pouring herself a bowl of cereal, she smacked her lips a few times before moaning as she eyed her bowl. Twilight slid her bottom lip to her left as she rolled her eyes and poured some milk into the bowl - also sliding a spoon into it as well as she teleported it into the living room, teleporting herself as well as she slowly started eating with groggy eyes.
"Bulb?" A small voice yawned. Twilight looked down and saw Flytrap looking up at her. She couldn't help but smile as she picked him up with her magic and placed him next to her on the couch. He nuzzled into her wing, muttered "saaaaaur" and became silent. A few minutes later, Twilight was done eating and got up to wash her bowl. Flytrap had already laid on his back, comfortable in his spot, but when she got up he rolled over and stretched, jumping off the couch.
Flytrap was usually an early bird. He'd get up around 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, and if the clock didn't wake Twilight, he would. Shelldon, instead, would wake up around 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM. He wouldn't do much if Twilight didn't wake up, but he'd whine, and if she didn't wake up at that he would quit trying at go lay down in the living room. Solar, however, woke up extremely late, around 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The latest would be 5:30, and she'd refuse to wake up if forced to.
Later, Shelldon walked into the living room and yawned. Seeing Flytrap he shook himself awake and stayed as far away as possible. Flytrap didn't wake up, of course, and Shelldon realized this quickly as he went back to seeing where Twilight was. He heard humming coming from the kitchen and waddled in quickly, and gasped in happiness when he saw Twilight cleaning the dishes.
"Squirrrrt!" Shelldon screamed as he ran in to hug her leg. Twilight was surprised at first, but seeing Shelldon she petted him on the head with her wing and stopped cleaning for a second. She looked at the clock remembered that Solar hadn't awoken yet, and found a way to get Shelldon to help, since he was so eager to at the moment.
"Hey, Shelldon!" Twilight said as she bent down to pet him. "Can you do me a quick favor?" Shelldon scratched his chin for a second before nodding quickly. "Good! I need you to go wake up Solar for me, okay?" She asked before standing up and starting on the dishes again. The turquoise creature smiled brightly before running on all fours to Solar's bedroom.
"Oh, and don't forget to NOT spray her in the tail, okay?" Twilight yelled as he ran off.
Solar's bed was bright orange with a burnt side on it, obviously from her tail being there. Shelldon creeped into the room silently, searching for her. When he saw her, he smirked and tip-toed towards her. Her eyes were closed and her back was turned on him, so she couldn't see him anyways. Shelldon sighed quickly, took a big breath and -
"CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR!" Solar screamed. Shelldon had shot a giant jet of water at Solar's nape. The result was Solar screeching and charging into the kitchen, using her tail flame to attempt to burn the water off. Twilight looked down and saw her huddled under Twilight, trying to hide from the turquoise monster she felt spray water on her. Twilight sighed and finished the dishes before bending down next to her and trying to comfort her.
"It's okay, Solar. Shelldon was just trying to wake you up. You were awake for a long time and it was time for you to wake up. Here," She handed Solar a Pokepuff before sending her off to the living room.
Flytrap was rolling around, bored with nothing to do and often stopping to scratch his cat-like ear. Shelldon was watching him and laughed whenever he couldn't get up, yet the angered Flytrap would use one of his vines to flip Shelldon over to give him a taste of his own medicine.
Solar shrugged, holding the Pokepuff close to her chest as she walked past the two. She gave them a sneer and sat on the couch. Taking one bite, she swallowed the bite hesitantly. Solar swung her tail over to the small cupcake as it slowly started to turn black, and the inner cream started oozing out grey. Then, she took a bite - it was crunchy and smoking, yet she had a look on her face as if she just ate a piece of a creamy, sweet, delicious apple pie.
Twilight came into the room humming - she obviously just finished the dishes and didn't seem too exhausted. Looking at her creatures, she guessed they were bored. I mean, if you had to stay in a house for days and days, with no one taking you out, how would you feel? Twilight sighed and made a calling sound to get their attention.
"Hey, guys, are you bored?" She asked when they all looked at her. Solar nodded her head fast (and burped, which made fire go everywhere), Flytrap shrugged and Shelldon nodded at a normal speed. "Well...do you wanna go for a walk?" They all went wide-eyed for a while before smiling brightly. Twilight grinned and levitated 3 collars (with leashes attached) and snapped them around their bellies. Flytrap and Shelldon were still very happy to go, but Solar seemed a bit disappointed she had to be tied up during the walk.
"Don't worry, Solar. These leashes don't stay firm and still, they expand and stretch so you can go wherever you like during the walk." Twilight explained, Solar getting a bit happier. The lavender princess opened the back door - which was leading to a backyard forest that no one knew about any longer, due to it being a few centuries old and it being infamous anyway. It still looked young, and pine trees were everywhere. However, in the exact middle of the forest, there was a giant oak tree that many small animals came to drink it's sap.
She lead them outside and let them explore, holding the leash with her telepathic grasp. The leash, did infact, expand and stretch. Shelldon went to a nearby lake and jumped in, Flytrap went to the oak tree and licked some sap off the tree and Solar stayed where she was, wide-eyed, and didn't move.
"What's wrong, Solar? What happened?" Twilight asked before looking to where Solar was. When she did, she gasped and went wide-eyed as well. Flytrap screamed when he looked and Shelldon said "squirt" in an amazed tone.
Small, green caterpillars were everywhere in some grass. They all had a red thing on their head and some had eyelashes. Flytrap seemed pretty scared of them, yet Shelldon stayed in an amazed state. Solar, well, she had an evil grin on her face and her tail was on fire - not any fire, though, a blazing, huge, healthy fire. It seemed so hot that it looked as if Solar's tail would be melting by now. Instead, she took one step forward, another step forward and kept taking a step until she started walking at a normal pace. Then, she started jogging and then started running - her eyes were turned to small dots and her claws now seemed ready to tear into something as a large, sharp smile plastered across her face.
"SOLAR, NO!" Twilight screamed. She yanked on the leash and Solar was sent flying backwards - she crashed into a tall pine tree and fell off, landing infront of Twilight. Solar moaned as she had a few scratches and dirt on her, but she got back up and growled at Twilight.
"Solar, those are poor, helpless caterpillars! How dare you try to hurt them!" Twilight scolded as Solar crossed her arms, grunted and sat down, looking away from Twilight. Flytrap shivered and stayed scared, yet Shelldon didn't stay amazed any more. He now felt very, very angry because some of them fell into the water and started scattering dust everywhere in the clear water. Shelldon sucked in a bunch of air, and blew a giant jet of water at the caterpillars - they were too sent flying and they all crashed into a tree, their eyes replaced with swirls.
One caterpillar, however, was still awake and was shivering. It had small eyelashes and was crawling over her fainted species as she gasped, "Pieee!" when she saw the angered Solar and Shelldon staring at her.
"Shelldon! Solar! Don't even THINK about it!" Twilight yelled at them as she tried to hold the leash still - she had some trouble, though, because both Shelldon and Solar were struggling to run at the last Caterpillar.
"Cater...PIIIIIIEEE!" The caterpillar screamed as millions of strands of string wrapped Solar, Flytrap and Shelldon in a frozen state. None of them could move, except Twilight who tried to unwrap her creatures from the string. Eventually, She finally got the string off and stared at the caterpillar in awe. Shelldon and Flytrap didn't bother to try and battle it, yet Solar had a look on her face that looked like she was about to rip it to shreds.
"You're definitely one of those 'Pokemon' creatures..." Twilight gasped as she carried it back to her home, her other creatures following behind her.
At home, Solar shivered at the sudden change of temperature, and Shelldon and Flytrap collapsed on the floor from exhaustion. Twilight sighed and teleported them to their beds as she let the small Caterpillar crawl around.
"The book!" Twilight muttered, remembering the Pokémon book that registered info about newly seen Pokémon. She hovered it over to her (it was on a secret shelf that only Twilight, the librarian, could take books from) and searched through the pages. There was a new page filled in, with the title, "Caterpie." Twilight smiled when she finished reading as she hovered it back to it's original spot and stared at the small Caterpie.
"I'm not sure of a nickname to call you..." Twilight muttered. It wiggled around, trying to dig through the floor, yet it failed miserably. "How about Worm?" It looked up and gave her a disappointed look.
"Fine, how about Cutie?"
It gave her a look.
"Beauty?"
It smiled (in some way) and nodded it's head. Twilight smiled and hugged it, generating a small beanbag for it's bed and teleporting it to the bedroom with her other Pokémon. Yawning, Twilight teleported herself into her own bed and slowly drifted off to sleep.
A Legendary Meeting (Small X and Y Spoiler)
"AwoOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
"Please, just go away! Please! I don't want to hurt you, I didn't do anything to you!"
A pink, floating cat with a long tail and squeaky voice rushed through the forest, trying to avoid a pack of timberwolves. One large one had a wooden crown on it's head.
The cat finally came to a stop, unable to pass a large tree that covered the whole path. The king Timberwolf stared down at her, growling and showing his enormous, wooden teeth. The pink cat grunted a small 'eep' and a large beam of physic powers blasted at the horde of wooden wolves. They all fell apart, each log rolling off into the bushes and some disintegrated. The small cat panted before wiping her forehead with the back of her paw - until she saw the most horrifying sight. All the logs rolled into one spot, right in front of her, and formed into a large wolf once more.
"What?! You just-and you-huh?!" The cat wondered, using all her might to levitate the giant tree while also shooting small beams of power at the wolf, knowing it would just regrow again and again.
All of a sudden, the tree shot up into the air, letting the cat quickly slip under it and fly away before the wolf regenerated again. When it did, it spotted the running cat and got ready to run - yet, the giant log fell right on it's abdomen. The cat turned around quickly and saw the injured wolf as it tried to push the log off it's stomach.
"Oh, no! You poor thing!" It's squeaky voice gasped as it flew back and tried to push the log off with it's powers. It failed, and the cat heard thunder in the air and muttered "Sorry, I'll go get help!" before quickly flying away towards the sky. The sky made a big, pink circle and allowed the cat to go through before the sky returned to normal.
Where the cat went to was a beautiful place. In all, it looked like a mansion made entirely of fluffy clouds. Different statues displayed different creatures, all having unique names under them. The cat smiled and floated to the entrance door, smiling a large grin into a cloud panel as it dinged and the door opened.
Inside, it didn't look much different. It still looked like a large mansion made of clouds, yet the inside of one. The cat floated around into different hallways, looking around the fluffy mansion. Finally, she found a hallway with the door she wanted. She 'meowed' and the large door opened and shut abruptly behind her.
"Ah, glad you could make it, Mew." A jolly voice said happily. The cat, otherwise named Mew, looked and saw a large, four-legged creature with golden rings around it's belly at one side of a table. The long table had other strange creatures sitting at certain spots, those creatures sitting in very, very, VERY large chairs that fit into each creature perfectly. Mew smiled to them all, and floated over to her spot at the table - her chair was extremely small and seemed like a speck compared to the other chairs. Her spot wasn't located near the ring-creature, but it was instead near a bipedal cat with a long, purple tail and a serious face. Next to him was a flaming bird, and next to him was a spiky bird with a long beak. Beside him was a beautiful bird with blue feathers, and being around it made Mew gain a few goosebumps from the cold, yet being around the fiery bird made them go away.
"Yes, Mew, we enjoy being around you as well." The bipedal cat smiled quickly before returning to being serious. Mew smiled as well and sat in her seat, making hellos here and there, and remembering the bipedal cat as Mewtwo.
To her right, there was a large, angel-like creature with white hair protruding from the back of it's head. It had an engine-like tail (which mew remembered as Reshiram), and the creature next to it wasn't so different except it was black. Next to that were other strange creatures, yet two seats stayed empty for a few 30 minutes - that is, until the two large doors opened.
A large, equine-like creature walked in ever so gently. It had a pointed feet shape and large antlers on top, and the antlers included lots of colors. It's blue irises had Xs for pupils, and it's face was blue, with a blue neck and chest that curved upwards a bit. Next to it was a large bird creature, except it was red and had black claws - with black lines leading up to it - and some hawk-like feet. It's tail didn't look much different to one of the wings, and it's head had two black horns curving forwards. It also had grey fur around it's neck that looked like a scarf.
"Oh, are we late again, Arceus?" The blue one asked, shooting a worried look at the ring-creature. Arceus shook his head and raised a hand, then put it back down.
"No, no, you two are not late, you're actually on perfect time, just like the last meeting we had." Arceus said as Xerneas sat next to Celebi - a green looking fairy - and Yvetal sat next to Reshiram.
"Alright, now that everyone's here," Arceus said, looking over the table to check if there were any empty seats. "We need to have a talk." Arceus got out of his chair and walked over to a large, blank wall. A projection made of green light appeared onto the wall out of nowhere, with words displayed as "Problem".
"As you know, our Pokémon world is made of creatures that can be captured for pets that human beings use to survive - electric types for electricity, water types for getting over strong waters, Flying types to help things out of reach for humans and Fire types for cooking. And, of course, some Pokémon are just made to be hugged and loved with company and affection. However, when I woke up this morning, I did my daily routine, as such - but I realized a certain...problem. " Arceus said, instantly turning serious. The projection's light turned from lime green to maroon red, and the lights in the room flickered off.
"What kind of problem, Arceus? Did your coffee-maker run out of coffee, or did your bedsheets become rough like concrete?" An Australian kind of accent came from the table, specifically coming from a legendary with brown horns pointing downwards and gray skin and orange shoulders.
"Very funny, Terrakion," Arceus said in a joking tone, before becoming serious again. "But it wasn't that part of my routine, no. It was different, you see. I woke up, drank some coffee, and all of a sudden, I go and teleport to the Earth. I look around, everything seems normal, but I feel like something is...gone. " Arceus suddenly became a bit softer with his tone as he looked down, and then looked at the projection. His eyes glowed before the red projection turned to green again. Instead of displaying 'problem', it changed to an animation of a Charmander, a Squirtle, a Caterpie and a Bulbasaur. They were running around, having fun, but all of a sudden a big red 'X' gets stamped onto the Bulbasaur. It falls over, and disappears. Next, the Charmander gets planted with an 'X'. Again, it falls over and disappears. Next, the Squirtle looks left and right, searching for the friends that just disappeared. It gets smashed with an 'X' before it disappears as well. The Caterpie, searching and on the verge of tears, just falls over and disappears, but a red 'X' still is planted on it.
"What's your point, Arceus? Are all the starters disappearing randomly?" Yvetal's voice comes from the table when Arceus stops the animation.
"No, it was only the Kanto's for now. It's my duty to know how many of each Pokémon there are on Earth, but when I woke up, the 'gone' thing was actually 4 Pokémon - Charmander, Caterpie, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. Instead of there being the amount of Pokémon I remember there being last, 1 out of each 4 Pokémon of those species disappeared. I'm a bit worried that they died without me knowing, because I, Arceus, am supposed to know when a Pokémon hatches and when a Pokémon dies. It's sad, really, and sometimes surprises come up like when AZ, that human, revived his dead Floette. Those times are a bit hard to know what happened, but eventually I find out soon." Arceus said with a sigh. Xerneas looked horrified, Terrakion seemed to have a bit of regret he made that joke and Mew had giant, teary eyes and a small frown.
"So, 1 Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Caterpie randomly disappeared?" Mew's squeaky and stuttering voice said. Mewtwo seemed to have a frown as well.
"Yes, that's right," Arceus sighed again, his eyes glowed as the projection flickered off and the lights came on. "I don't know why, though, and I spent all night searching for them. They certainly didn't die, I would have known, so this is a bit stressful for me. I need your help, legendaries of Pokémon. I need you to go and search for the missing Pokémon."
"No! I mean, I know you must be tired, but we won't know what Pokémon are the ones you're looking for! We might take the wrong one, and then we'll have to expose ourselves to the humans to bring it back! If Shaymin got the wrong one, every human will think she stole that Pokémon, and nobody will believe in her to purify their plants and they'll think she's there to steal their flowers!" Keldeo argued, pointing at a small hedgehog-like creature. Shaymin frowned.
"He's right, Arceus. They will believe she's there to steal some of the human's belongings." Mewtwo said, looking at the entrance door blankly.
"Listen, I understand you believe that will happen, but believe me, I'll be there to clear up the confusion in those human's minds. Trust me." Arceus said, trying to calm Mewtwo, Keldeo and Shaymin down. Terrakion coughed loudly, and everyone at the table looked at him as Arceus walked back to sit in his seat.
"Alright, I have a plan. How about you give us special qualities of these Pokémon, and then we can see if Pokemon have those qualities, and then we can bring it to you for the answer of it being the ones you're looking for!" Terrakion hollered as he slammed his hooves to the table. Mutters of agreement and disagreement came over the room.
"But," Yvetal said, all eyes turning to him, even Arceus. "what if many Pokemon have those qualities, Terrakion?"
"W-well...I...we could...take it to Arceus, and see if it is the one, and if it isn't we'll...uh...sneak it in when no-one's looking!" Terrakion stuttered, causing a smile to spread across Yvetal's face.
"What if a human sees us?" Xerneas argued, her voice soft but stern at the same time. Terrakion's eyes looked at everyone, all eyes on him now.
"We could use Amnesia on them!"
"Terrakion, there's a chance it could fail." A blue equine creature said, his name being Coballion. Another green equine creature next to him nodded her head in agreement, her name being Virizion.
"Those are all good ideas, but I think the best chance of us finding the Pokémon we need is asking the Pokémon if they are lost or not, then we can see if they are the ones, but before asking we need to see if it has the qualities." Mewtwo grunted. Arceus hummed a small 'hmmm' before nodding his head.
"Alright, Mewtwo. We could try your plan. But, you all have to know the creatures aren't on Earth, because I looked all over. We all have to go into different dimensions to look for them," Arceus sighed. "The Pokémon you are looking for are, as you know, the Kanto starters and a Caterpie. The Charmander has small eyelashes like the Caterpie and the Bulbasaur and Squirtle are normal."
"Giratina, you go look in your dimension, the Distortion World." Arceus decided as the large, grey, red, black and gold dragon nodded his head before opening a portal to his world and walking in as the portal disappeared behind him.
"Dialga and Palkia, you all look in the Temporal World and the Spatial World." The two legendaries grunted and opened portals to their own worlds before jumping in.
Arceus told many other legendaries to go to other dimensions and worlds they had access to until only 10 legendaries were left - Shaymin, Keldeo, Mesprit, Uxie, Azelf, Victini, Celebi, Xerneas, Mew and Arceus were left.
"What about me, Arceus? And Shaymin, and Victini? What about us?" Keldeo stuttered. "Where do we go?" Arceus opened a portal and looked back at Keldeo.
"Well, Keldeo, you and the others will help me by coming to watch with me." The remaining legendaries' faces turned from hopeless and sad to joyful and hopeful.
"With you? Like, we get to look with you?" Shaymin squeaked in happiness. Arceus nodded his head towards the portal with a smile before they all went in.
However, before going in, Arceus stopped Keldeo from going through.
"H-Huh?" Keldeo stuttered, looking behind him. "Arceus, what are you doing?"
"Keldeo, we need to have a quick talk..." He mumbled. Keldeo stared at him in disbelief, but muttered a small "Y-Yes...?".
"Do you know where I'm sending you and the others?" Arceus asked him.
"No...where?"
"A rare place called Equestria. All I know about it is so very little, and other Pokémon legendaries don't even know about it at all. When you enter, it may look like a bunch of discolored Ponytas, but they aren't Pokémon. They'll think your one of them, and they will have no idea what a Pokémon is. So, please don't mention Pokémon to any of them unless they truly know what Pokémon is. Alright? Now, if you find any of the Pokémon I need in that realm, you'll know immediately. Pokémon don't exist in that realm. Understand?" Arceus explained.
Keldeo looked at the ground before looking back up at Arceus and smiling. Arceus smiled as well before he jumped in and Keldeo followed swiftly behind him.
Weedle, Pidgey, Rattata and Spearow
The portal Arceus had made opened up in a Equestria, deep in a forest. First, Shaymin stumbled out of the world with Victini. Next, Mew and Celebi floated out and helped Victini and Shaymin. Then, Uxie, Azelf and Mesprit floated out, taking in the surroundings. Then finally, Arceus and Xerneas walked out with Keldeo hopping behind them.
"Even though I don't know much about it, this place is still very gorgeous." Arceus sighed. Keldeo tried to agree as well, but all he saw was a bunch of vines, trees and small, creepy critters running around.
"Uh, yeah, it's definitely the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my li-"
"You don't like it, do you."
"No, It looks very scary." Keldeo said blankly, each word quieter than the next.
Arceus sighed. You would know what's gorgeous and what's ugly when you're stuck in a boring, black void for almost millions of eras, Keldeo. He thought to himself as he leaded the group of legendaries out of the forest.
"Alright, guys. Shaymin, look through the fields of this realm. Uxie, Azelf, Mesprit, you look in the lakes. Mew and Celebi, you look in the forests, and Keldeo, since you look a lot like the citizens of this world, you will have to look for the missing Pokemon in the towns, and yes, that means you have to meet some of the citizens. Me and Xerneas will look through the whole realm, incase one of you has missed the Pokemon when looking through your demanded places." Arceus commanded as the lengendaries flew off. Keldeo smiled at Arceus as he and Xerneas nodded for him to go as they walked deep into the forest. Keldeo turned around, took in a deep breath, and walked out.
What he saw was actually the most gorgeous thing he had ever seen. Buildings were built in a way only humans would have to know how, flowers were planted everywhere, the sky had fluffy clouds (which looked very comfortable to sit on) but there was only one problem - none of the discolored Ponytas seemed to want to talk - or even LOOK - to him. As he walked through the town, everyone stared at him. Some stared in disgust, some in amazement and some just because they were kids. Keldeo tried to smile at them, but they rejected it and got back to what they were doing.
He turned around and looked at everyone behind him. Then again, he is a Pokémon, and seeing a Pokémon must be scary or weird for them, even if they think he's their kind and just dressing up weirdly. He continued to walk through the town, searching for the missing Pokémon Arceus desired.

Twilight yawned as she rolled out of her bed - again, like last time, she fell off and landed with a 'thud' on the floor. She stretched like she normally would and trotted to her kitchen to make some cereal. Unlike other days, she noticed Solar, Flytrap, and Shelldon were awake and crowding over something. Before pouring some milk, she walked over to see what it was.
"Beauty, is that you?" Twilight asked when she saw what was before her. Beauty had her own caterpillar shape, except her whole body had turned from green to white - the only noticeable thing that kept Twilight knowing it was Beauty was the outline of her body. It slowly started floating in the air, a bunch of energy gaining up until the energy was released - then, a small crescent-shaped green pupa fell to the floor. A few seconds passed before Solar burst out laughing. Twilight gasped and frowned at the same time.
"What just happened? Beauty? Are you okay?" She gasped, picking her up and shaking her. Beauty muttered a small 'Meta' before Twilight sighed, "Ah, you're okay..."
She put Beauty down and let her roam around in her new body. Solar wouldn't stop laughing, however, and eventually Solar's laugh turned into hard crying due to her stomach becoming too sore from laughing so hard. So, Solar was teleported to her bedroom while Shelldon and Flytrap got to play with their old but new friend.
Twilight smiled and walked back to her bowl of cereal. Pouring some milk, she dipped a spoon and started to eat like she did a few days ago, but she didn't want to bother her tiny friends, so she ate it on the kitchen counter instead. A loud crash, however, made her jump, spill the cereal everywhere, and attempt to gallop to the source of the noise - but, since milk and pieces of cereal were everywhere, she ended up slipping and falling on her stomach, hooves spread out. When she gained balance again, she walked fast but slowly to the source of the noise again.
"What was that?" Twilight asked when she entered the room. Unlike she had thought, it was only Solar coming back out and laughing again, and since her stomach was too sore she fell over, holding her stomach as she crashed into a glass of water.
"Solar, I told you already, you can't come out until you're stomach is feeling better!" Twilight sighed as she sent Solar to her bed with a PokePuff. Twilight smiled at Solar as she actually obeyed her for once. Instead of grunting and glaring, she nodded her head and took the PokePuff as she walked to her bed.
"Hellloooooooo? Anypony hooooooome?" A familiar, squeaky voice called from the front door. Twilight rolled her eyes as she opened the door with her magic, letting Pinkie, Applejack, Rainbow, Rarity and Fluttershy walk in and sit down on the couch.
"So, what brings you here, girls?" Twilight asked her friends when she sat down on a chair. Rainbow shrugged, but Rarity gagged, and of course, Pinkie smiled wide. Fluttershy (who Twilight saw had a saddlebag on) opened her bag and pulled out a small bird with her wing. It chirped, "Pi-Pidgeey!" before fluffing its wings and pecking at its tail.
"Oh, a bird? I've never seen a species like that before." Twilight muttered before realizing what it had said. "Wait! That bird just spoke English! That means it could be a Pokemon!" Twilight hovered the book to her and opened it. Like she suspected, it had a page filled in all about it. When done reading, she placed it next to her on a coffee table.
"I saw it in a thundercloud, and I gave it to Fluttershy to check for any scars or burns. She said it was fine and nothing seemed to be wrong, but we decided to give it to you incase. Fluttershy seems really attached to it, though." Rainbow explained as the Pidgey was inspected by Twilight.
"Well, Fluttershy was right, nothing seems to be wrong about it. It was good that you saved it, though."
"Oh, thank you, Twilight," Fluttershy sighed at the bird, smiling. "Just the thought of that poor bird being electrocuted makes me wince!"
"Oh! Twilight, by the way, I have a few questions for you, if you don't mind." Applejack laughed nervously. Twilight nodded for her to go ahead. "Alright - have these critters been causing you to scream, nowadays?" Twilight tapped her hoof on her chin before shaking her head. "Okay, good. Last one - just what in EQUESTRIA is THAT?! " Applejack pointed at Beauty.
"Oh, that? That's Beauty. I found it as a worm," (Rarity gagged, but shook her head to clear the image) "and then...a few minutes ago, it changed into this....pupa, I guess you can call it? If it was a worm before, and now a pupa, I think it'll turn into a butterfly soon."
Rainbow nodded her head in agreement.
"Is that all you needed me for?" Twilight asked, eyeing the Pidgey that had just perched on Fluttershy's shoulder. Rarity shook her head.
"N-No, darling...it's...another one of those Pokemans..." Rarity closed her eyes before Fluttershy pulled out another Pokémon from her bag - a worm. It was orange and it's body consisted of spheres. It's round head had a silver horn on the top, and had a red nose with beady eyes. Rarity gagged and stayed as far away from Fluttershy as possible. Rainbow, however, seemed to really like it.
"What do you think it'll turn into?" Rainbow asked as she squished between Twilight and Fluttershy on the couch to get a closer look.
"Most likely a butterfly like Beauty. However, I don't think a butterfly with a giant horn on it's head with be...'pretty'..." Twilight hesitated to say. Rainbow nodded, but she still seemed to like the worm a lot.
"Alright, is that all you needed me for?" Twilight sighed.
"Nope." The group said in unison. The lavender alicorn sighed deeply again before waving her hoof towards her, meaning to say "bring it on". Fluttershy squee-ed and pulled out another bird (Twilight was quite amazed at how many creatures were kept in that bag). The bird had a pink-ish beak and a face and tail consisting of brown feathers. The nape was black and the belly was white-ish, while the wings were red with the tip being pink. It screeched, "Speaarow!" when Fluttershy patted it's back. Then, Fluttershy pulled out a rat.
It's fur was purple with a long, curly tail and 2 big front teeth. It also had red eyes and a peach belly leading up to it's neck. Rarity, again, gagged and muttered something like, "Rodent" before coughing and trying to avoid eye contact with the rat. After some time of Twilight reading up about the newly-entered Pokémon in her book and Fluttershy petting the new creatures, the Lizard Pokemon finally stumbled out of her room, covering her eyes incase she saw Beauty.
"Hey! It's that fire lizard!" Rainbow cried out, pointing to Solar with a worried look. Solar took her claws off her face and clutched her stomach, trying to stumble towards Twilight. Solar tripped halfway, and Twilight had to levitate Solar towards her.
"Oh my...is it alright?" Fluttershy desperately asked. Solar groaned, "Mandeeeerrrr..." and rolled over in Twilight's arms. The alicorn was quite surprised - Solar had never acted like this before. Twilight knew Solar would warm up to her someday, but she never expected it to happen so fast. Shelldon, Flytrap and Beauty all stared as Solar groaned even more as she rolled over again and again.
"Char...mander..." Solar's eyes seemed to be tearing up with boiling water - finally, Twilight handed Solar to a surprised Fluttershy ("W-wait, what? Twilight, what are you-!") before she teleported to her room.
Twilight opened a cabinet and yanked a jar with Pokepuffs in it out. She twisted the cap and levitated 2 out of the jar before teleporting back to Solar. Solar was crying now, boiling water rolling down her cheeks as she struggled to stay still. Twilight immediately shoved a Pokepuff infront of Solar's eyesight - she calmed down and focused on the sweet treat most of the time. She handed it to her as Solar started to eat the Pokepuff and stopped crying, but before she took a bite she sucked in a lot of air and blew - loads of fire poured out towards the treat and burnt it to a crisp like a large, crunchy chip. Then, she shoved it into her mouth and hopped from Fluttershy's arms and onto the floor with Flytrap, Shelldon and Beauty to play.
"...is that what she does normally?" Applejack asked as she watched Shelldon chase Solar in a game of tag. Twilight shook her head and sighed. Fluttershy was putting her hooves under her stomach for warmth as she sighed as well.
"Solar usually isn't the...'loving' type, I guess you could call it. She usually only cares for me because I give her food and shelter. Today was different, though. She started to laugh at Beauty's pupa form - which is just Solar being herself - and her stomach started hurting badly from laughter. Then, a few minutes ago, you saw her in pain. This time, she actually trusted and cared for me enough to let me help her. Now, if that is coming from Solar, that must be because something inside her changed. See, she's even laughing playfully as Shelldon chases her! She normally screams and cries when that happens!" Twilight pointed to the two Pokémon as Shelldon finally touched her back as Solar flipped around and started chasing him .
"I see what ya mean, Twi. Solar does seem like the type to be arrogant and rude and then all of a sudden turn nice and friendly. Basically, it must mean that Solar's growing up, because Applebloom and some of her other friends seem to do that as well." Applejack sighed.
"Alright, I think we should go now. Twilight must have some time to bond with Solar, as she hadn't had the chance to before. Come on, girls," Rarity said smiling. "I hope Solar becomes more close with you, Twilight!" Rarity shut the door with all the girls behind her, and the only noise was the sound of Flytrap laughing and running as Beauty attempted to roll towards him. A few minutes of this passed before she heard a knock at the door.
"Come in!" Twilight hollered, running from Solar since she joined the game of Tag.
Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie opened the door, however, with Fluttershy having the "Spearow" perched on her left ear.
"Huh? What are you girls doing here?" Twilight asked, still running from Solar and soon realizing Solar started to go towards Flytrap. She stepped around the two and laid down on the couch again, exhausted.
"Oh, hi Twilight! I was just wondering if I could have the purple mouse Fluttershy showed you!" Pinkie squealed.
"It's called a Rattata, Pinkie." Twilight laughed, but nodded.
"Ooh! Goodie! I get my own Ratatatatatatatata!" She laughed as the Rattata randomly popped out of her puffy hair. Fluttershy stepped aside as Pinkie left the house screaming, "THANK YOOOOOU!" as the rat pulled back into Pinkie's hair so nobody could see it.
"Oh, um...Twilight?" Fluttershy's voice squeaked, getting both Twilight's and RD's attention. "C-can I have these birds? I promise I-I won't let anypony see them! I p-pinkie promise!" She squeaked again, watching for Twilight's reaction. The alicorn nodded her head without any thought. "Thank you so much, Twilight!" Fluttershy thanked as she left the house with the Pidgey now stuffed in her saddle-bag.
Rainbow was next, and she was waving her hooves infront of her face out of excitement.
"Let me guess - you want the Weedle?" Twilight suspected. Rainbow, still waving her hooves, nodded very fast as a large smile ripped through her mouth. Twilight laughed softly before handing Rainbow the small worm. She snatched it away and looked at it in her arms as she left and shut the door - then opening it quickly and saying, "Thanks a lot, Twilight!" before shutting it again.
"Hehe," Twilight smiled. "I hope they care for their's as much as I care for mine..." She looked at the 3 Kanto starters and smiled.
Keldeo walked through the streets of Ponyville once more, as he did yesterday incase he missed something. He was forced to sleep in a Hotel last night, yet when they asked for 10 bits it got a little out of hand - or, in this case, hoof.
"Errr...bits of what, exactly?"
The mare with a golden coat and chesnut mane frowned. "What do you mean, bits of what?"
"You said I needed 10 bits to sleep here, and I said 'bits of what'. So, what kind of bits do I give you?"
"There's only one kind of bit around here, so unless you found some silver bit, I'm not sure what your talking about."
"No, there's bits of everything. There's bits of glass, bits of cabbage, bits of - oh, you get my point, don't you?" Keldeo sighed.
"No, sir, I don't. And I don't understand why you are saying there are bits made of glass and cabbage. What kind of country are you from, saying there are ridiculous bits like that?" She grunted.
"I'm from a region named Unova, and there, we use coins and dollars, not 'bits'."
"That sure is funny, because I remember back in Pre-school that my teacher said 'All countries use bits.' Plus, I've never heard of a country named, 'Younova'."
Keldeo slammed his hooves on the floor in frustration. "Just tell me what to get, and I'll break it into bits for you so I can sleep!"
The mare frowned even larger and rolled her hazel eyes before opening a cash register and pulling out a bit. She slammed it on the counter and crossed her hooves and said firmly, "That is a bit."
"Oh, you mean bits of gold?"
She was gritting her teeth by now. "Either give me 10 bits or I'll - ugh," She collapsed onto the counter. "Just go sleep in room 139..." She said, her face still smushed onto the counter as she reached behind a cabinet and pulled out a key.
"Oh...er, thanks! I...guess..." Keldeo muttered before walking to his desired room.
It wasn't exactly top perfect, but it sure was better than sleeping in vines and tree branches back in Unova. The bed sheets were just freshly smoothened out by a maid, the pillow was fluffed, and there were paintings of the owner of the Hotel placed here and there. Keldeo got into bed and slept early that day - he was supposed to only find the Pokémon and leave - no need to make big friends, as that would cause him to have heartbreak when he left, but there's no need to make enemies either.
So (as I was saying), he walked through the streets of Ponyville once more, as he did yesterday incase he missed something. Occasionally, he'd pass by a green mare and he turn around to see her, but he'd soon find out that it wasn't Virizion and he'd continue on his walk gloomily.
But how exactly was he supposed to find the Pokémon? They certainly wouldn't be running around the grass or something, because, for one, Shaymin and her followers might find them, and two, the civilians who work in farms might find them. And they definitely wouldn't be in people's houses, unless they were like Rattatas and such who hide in mouse holes. He thought about it for a second, but he shook his head. Caterpies are to fat to climb into mouse holes, and the Kanto starters are WAY too big to fit into any mouse hole or anything.
"Well," Keldeo sighed, sitting on a bench Lyra-style with his hooves between his legs (that were dangling off the edge of the seat). "While I think for ideas, I can at least admire this world." He looked up at the sky and saw a few ponies in the sky, pushing clouds around. This surprised him, because for one, they had wings, and two, he had no idea the fluffy clouds he saw earlier were movable. But what surprised him even more is that he saw one of them lay down on a cloud and rest!
Keldeo grunted and got off the bench, now walking towards a giant, pink building with a large cupcake and candle on top. I could really go for some cake or apples right now... He thought when his stomach growled.
When he opened the door, the fresh smell of Chocolate cupcakes slipped through his nostrils. The inside looked a lot like a Kalos ice cream shop, yet Cupcakes, cake, sweetened apples and mostly every other sweet were scattered among display cases. A pink pony with poofy hair was handing out a lot of sweets for free! Or, at least, the ones sitting at tables. Smiling, Keldeo walked to a seat and sat down. He placed his right hoof upon his right cheek and the left on the table, messing with a dirty napkin some other pony left behind. Finally, the pink pony came to him and she gasped, similar to how she gasped when Twilight first came into town. The pony dashed into another room and dashed back, a blue balloon's string being held tightly by her teeth.
"Welfome to Moniveil, newf mony! My nam is Pinkshh Pissh!" She squealed with excitement before quickly spitting out the ballon's string and holding it with her hooves. "Sorry about that! As I said before, Welcome to Ponyville, new pony! My name is Pinkie Pie! I saw that you were new and I decided to celebrate it! I've never seen a pony like you before, though! I'm on cake duty right now, so I'll just give you a balloon and a five-day free food card here at Sugarcube Corner! OH! And a blue balloon with your face on it! But I'll throw you a super duper awesome party later when my job time is over! Heeheehee! Oh, and here's also a free meal to go with it!" Pinkie kept talking before she slammed a lemon meringue pie on Keldeo's table, making him jump in surprise as she also thrust the balloon's string into his hooves, as well as smiling largely. "Oh, I'm so rude not to ask! What's your name, mister?"
"K-Keldeo..." He stuttered before Pinkie clapped happily.
"What a wonderful name! I have to go tell my friends of a party I'm going to throw later! They sure will want to meet you! Oh, I have to go bake some more sweets now! Bye mister!"
The Colt Pokémon looked at the mares and gentlecolts around him. They were all staring at him for something cool to probably happen, but he just laughed nervously and waved, which (thankfully) made them continue on to their original plan of eating. Keldeo picked up the five-day-free-food card and eyed the expiration date, title, picture and code. Then, setting the card down on the table, he pulled the balloon's string down so he could look at the picture. Surprisingly, Pinkie was telling the truth. His face was somehow drawn on the balloon with a black, permanent marker, and the face was badly colored with crayons.
Keldeo grabbed a fork and spoon and gladly dug into the pie. After all, it was free, so he wouldn't have to worry about paying them any of the gold they expected.
"I just wish the Hotel would do the same..." He muttered as he finished off the last few bites and thanked the pink pony watching him as he left.
When he left the shop, he was quite disappointed and shocked to find out that the sugary and sweet scent of the shop hadn't came with him when he went outside. He walked around the town, looking at the beautiful roses a peach mare was watering. He also noticed somepony else's flowers who were rotting a bit. He felt a little sad suddenly because the other pony (Her coat was pink and her mane was orange, her cutie-mark being a baker's hat) glared at the roses of her neighbor's before sighing and frowning at her own flowers.
"If only Shaymin was here to help her..." Keldeo muttered. He trotted over to the jealous mare and tapped on her shoulder. When her only response was a sniff, he pushed her on the shoulder a little bit. This time, she looked up at him with jealousy and sadness. Keldeo frowned and signaled to the flowers infront of her house. They were placed in a wooden case below her window, and still rotting as if dropping their head in sorrow. The mare frowned even more and glared at him.
"They've not had water for days, you moron." She grumbled before holding one of her daisy's rotten bud before it drooped when she let go. "I don't have enough money to buy a watering can, and my bucket in my house is somewhere beneath my clutter I'm too lazy to search through."
Keldeo thought about the situation. He knew he wasn't supposed to make friends, but as he also remembered, it isn't too smart to be enemies either. Along with that, he wasn't supposed to tell anypony about Pokémon, or something about the creatures of it, the regions being an exception since it doesn't reveal much. Using a move wouldn't hurt, would it? I mean, he's seen a few unicorns using magic, so having a horn and using a move will just make them think he used magic, right?
"I can help you water your flowers..." Keldeo said to her before she got annoyed he wasn't talking.
The mare's eyes glittered with hope when she looked up at him. "Really?" Her voice squeaked. Keldeo nodded before taking a few steps back and turning his back to her flowers; when he looked back, the mare's hopeful, glittery eyes turned to worry and anticipation. Keldeo crouched his fore-hooves and raised his back hooves into the air as if he were about to buck something. Ponies around them stopped doing what they were doing and stared, horrified to see what was going to happen next. Keldeo grunted, closed his eyes, readied his back-hooves and...
...he kicked, water spewing out from the back of his hooves and onto the window above the mare's plants. The water trickled down into the basket full of flowers. The mare was astonished at first, but then her face turned to complete happiness as her flowers all of a sudden started to grow; like that flower that Zecora said was the cure for the Cutie Pox. One grew into a scarlet rose, another grew into a golden sunflower, the rotten daisy grew more beautiful than ever before, and another grew into a lily. The mare clapped her hooves as fast as she could before squealing. After doing that, ponies started to form a crowd around the flowers. Fillies started to ask questions, adults stared in awe and others were looking with their mouths gaping open.
"How did you do that, mister?" One colt asked.
"I've never seen that before!" His mother stated, holding her child close.
"I agree with the kid," The mare with the newly-watered flowers said with a grin. "How'd you do that?" Keldeo lowered his back hooves and plopped them on the ground. He stretched his arms before shivering and talking to her. "Repeat that, please?"
"How did your hooves spray water like that? Are there holes in your hooves?" She repeated, lowering her head to look at his hind-hooves. Keldeo widened his eyes.
"I-I....uh...I don't have holes in my fee- I mean, hooves. At least, the last time I checked I didn't." Keldeo raised his right-hind hoof and looked at it. After a quick inspection he lowered his hoof and shook his head. "Nope, I definitely don't have any holes." Some of the ponies in the crowd gasped, while others smiled wide.
"I thought you were going to kick her flowers off the pot!" An mare's relieved tone said. Keldeo blushed from all this attention, but he shook his head. "Why would I ever do that?" He stated with brief laugh. Keldeo then continued to answer many questions coming from the crowd - some were about his hair, and he answered a little offended; some asked how he did that, and he simply said, "Magic." before pointing at his non-magic, peach-colored horn. Soon enough, the crowd seemed to decrease and he could finally rest from answering questions. He started walking back towards his apartment for a quick nap; he was exhausted and needed some rest from all that hullabaloo.
<><><><><><><><>
Twilight sat in her library, reading a dictionary she had read thoroughly about 15 times. She had her right wing folded, but her left wing was being prodded and poked at by Solar. Finally, after a long time, Twilight shut the book with a slam as she levitated the book back to it's original spot on a shelf. She glanced at Solar.
"Why are you doing that to my wing?" Twilight asked. "It's getting a little annoying." Solar stopped poking and sat quietly with a small, curious grin. Twilight squinted her eyes at her, a little interested of what Solar had up her sleeve. Usually, Solar only made that face whenever she planned on pranking Twilight, Beauty or Flytrap. Solar never even dared of pranking Shelldon.
"Why are you smiling like that?" The alicorn eyed Solar. The Pokémon's eyes widened as her grin grew larger. Solar hopped off the couch and ran towards her room, giggling like a 5-year-old girl. Rolling her eyes, Twilight yawned. It was only 10:35 AM, so lots of stuff could be done without any worry. She could try to find out what these 'Pokémon' came from, and she could even help her friends take care of their own Pokémon. Just as Twilight began to think of more stuff to do, Solar came back into the room, still giggling with a piece of paper between her claws. Shelldon and Flytrap also followed her out, rubbing their eyes and yawning.
"Did you wake them up, Solar? That wasn't very nice." Twilight glared at her, but Solar jumped onto the couch and handed her the paper. Solar plopped down on the couch as a large and impatient smile plastered across her face. Twilight figured Solar completely ignored what she had just said, so she ignored it as well and looked at the paper. It was blank.
"Why'd you give me this?" Twilight asked her, giving her a confused look. Solar giggled once more and shook her head, flipping the paper over to revealing a picture drawn in crayon. "Oh."
Despite Solar being new to dealing with crayons, she did pretty well. It looked like a drawing that would've come from a little kid, but it was still clear of what it was. The picture was an image of a large, orange dragon with a yellow belly and large, bat-like wings. Along with having visible, black eyelashes, it was roaring towards the viewer. It's tail was orange as well with a yellow color similar to the belly on the bottom of it, and it had a large flame, burning brightly with dandelion yellow crayon; next to that was a picture of Twilight with her crown on.
"Is this your mother?" Twilight asked. She was quite touched by it, as it had a friendly, radiant feeling. The radiant feeling probably came from Solar's body temperature, but it was still touching. Solar looked at the picture and shook her head. She pointed to the dragon, then her chest, and then the Twilight on the picture, and then pointed to Twilight-in-real-life's muzzle.
"That's you?" Solar nodded. "And that's me?" Solar nodded again. "But you don't have wings or a large snout or those horns." Twilight was a little confused by this now, but her brain's lights were starting to flicker. Solar frowned, the friendly aura around the picture starting to break.
"Wait..." Twilight thought for a moment. "Oh! That's it!" She gasped, making Solar jump back in surprise. "You change just like Beauty does, don't you?" Solar nodded again, a small smile starting to form on her face. "So, when you change, you'll change into this?" This time, Solar raised her claw up and shook it horizontally in a "yes, but no" kind of way.
"What do you mean? Do you not know?" Twilight glanced at the picture again, and then at Solar. Solar face-palmed. How was she going to explain this if Twilight can't understand her? Sighing, Solar sneered and jumped off the couch. Before Twilight could protest or even speak, Solar flicked her claw up towards her. I guess that's her way of telling me that I'll find out when it happens...she was probably poking at my wing to tell me that she can't wait to have her own. Twilight thought with a sigh. Oh, wait! If Solar goes through the changing process, doesn't that mean Shelldon and Flytrap will go through it as well?
"Shelldon!" Twilight called; Flytrap had fallen asleep onto the floor with his claws in the air and Shelldon had gone back to his room to sleep. Soon enough, Shelldon started limping into the room with a groggy expression and Flytrap woke up due to her call.
"Will you change just like Beauty did?" She asked, and both of them nodded, despite Twilight talking to Shelldon only. "Really? Care to show me what?" Shelldon shook his head, and waved his pointer-claw at her while making a "tch-tch-tch" sound right before touching two claws together and moving them across his lips, like he was zipping his mouth shut. Twilight sighed.
"You won't tell me, and you want to keep it a secret?" Shelldon nodded and ran into the kitchen for a snack. Twilight looked at Flytrap. "Will you tell me what you'll turn into?" This time, Flytrap nodded and pointed to the bud on his back with his head. A thin vine creeped out from the bud and wrapped around a pink flower inside a vase and gave it to Twilight.
"The flower bud on your back will bloom?" The little bulbasaur nodded his head quickly and then smiled. He got up from the couch and walked towards the spot he was before and fell down as a low snore came from him. Twilight giggled and looked at the flower. She levitated it back into the vase and stretched her legs.
Might as well go check on Fluttershy, Pinkie and Rainbow Dash. I want to see how their pets are doing, but I'm not really sure if I can trust my own Pokemon being left alone. Twilight thought. Shelldon was now exiting the kitchen with a blue poke-puff in his claws. He looked up at her. Solar also emerged from the kitchen, holding a bag of chips. Finally, Flytrap came out of the kitchen with an apple in his mouth.
"SPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE!" Twilight screamed, making all the Pokémon jump and a shrieked, echoed, "META!" come from another room. Along with that, seconds later, a muffled, "Yeaaaaaaaah?" came from upstairs. "Can you take care of Solar, Flytrap and Shelldon while I'm gone?" Twilight yelled. Again, another muffled, "Yeaaaaaaaah!" came from upstairs. Twilight smiled to her Pokémon and yelled, "Thanks!" before leaving the house.
The warm sun bathed across Twilight's skin. Even though a few clouds littered the sky, it was still considered 'sunny' by most Ponyvillians. Rainbow was clearly visible ontop of a cloud, messing with something in her lap. Twilight opened her wings and flew upwards to see what it was. After coming up to the cloud's height, she saw that Rainbow was playing with her pet Weedle.
"Who's a good thorn worm? You are! Yes, yes you a-"
"Rainbow, what are you doing with that worm out in plain sight? It could be seen, you know!" Twilight loudly whispered.
"AH! Goodness gracious Twilight, you scared the living daylights out of me!" Rainbow yelped, holding her Pokemon close to her chest. Twilight rolled her eyes and grunted.
"You need to keep that creature hidden! What do you think will happen if Luna sees it? Or any other pony?"
"Pssh!" Rainbow laughed. "I doubt Luna - or anypony else - will be randomly flying around, looking specifically for my little Speary! " Rainbow got up and hugged her Weedle.
Twilight made a face. "You named your Pokémon 'Speary'?" Twilight said with a soft giggle. "Not to be offensive or anything, but that doesn't seem very...Rainbow Dash to me."
Rainbow blushed out of embarrassment and laughed as well. "O-Of course I didn't name my Pokémon 'Speary'! I actually named him Spear, but I call him Speary sometimes whenever I'm playing with him."
Twilight smiled. It made more sense now, but she decided to not say anything. "Just be sure nopony sees it, alright?" Twilight whispered before saying goodbye and gliding back to the ground. Now to check on Pinkie... Twilight thought, walking towards Sugarcube Corner. I could also get a cupcake or two while I'm at it!
She finally reached the Ponyville-exclusive sweet shop. As she opened the door, she immediately heard giggling from upstairs. She walked up to the counter and rang a small bell laying next to the register. A few minutes later, Mr. and Mrs. Cake emerged from another room. They gasped and bowed their heads before greeting her. Mr. and Mrs. Cake didn't seem to notice the giggling, and Twilight figured it wasn't the best idea to ask them why, whether they knew about it or not.
"H-Hello, your majesty Twilight!" Mr. Cake stuttered. Twilight waved her hoof once.
"No need to call me that. Just because I'm an alicorn doesn't mean you need to treat me like royalty all of a sudden. I'm still the Twilight you knew before my coronation!" She laughed. Mr. Cake smiled.
"Alright then, Princes- I-I mean, Twilight. What can I get you today?" He asked, pulling out a note-pad and quill. Twilight widened her eyes and laughed again.
"I'm not ordering that much, Mr. Cake," Twilight said with a giggle. "I'm only ordering a cherry flavored cupcake with oats." Mr. Cake's face went red as he put the notepad and quill away.
"O-Oh, s-so sorry, Twilight." Mr. Cake's face went back to normal before nodding to Mrs. Cake. She nodded as well and smiled at Twilight as she left for the kitchen to bake. "Please take a seat; your sweet will be served to you in a few minutes, Ms. Twilight." Twilight said, "Thank you" as she left for her seat. She sat down at a table with a used napkin. She sighed and levitated it over to a trash can - she hesitated, and then brought it back to her table before her magic aura turned red. The napkin burnt to ashes, and her aura returned to it's original color as the ashes were levitated to the trash can.
"Ms. Twilight, your order is ready!" A voice called from the counter. Twilight smiled and levitated the cupcake over to her table, and she levitated a few bits over to the bakers waiting for their pay. Once that was done, she hovered the cupcake over to her mouth and started eating. The flavor of cherry was almost exploding from the cupcake, and when she glanced down at it, she got the whole image she was awaiting. It had a scarlet-red wrapper with maroon cake and pink icing. It was really good, and before Twilight tried to take her fourth bite it was already gone! Sighing, she licked her hooves and licked her lips.
Twilight got up and pushed in her chair. She walked upstairs, towards Pinkie's room, and knocked on the door. A long gasp followed after, and the sound of whispering occurred before a squeak and a shush was made inside the room. Twilight laughed.
"It's me, Twilight! No need to be scared, Pinkie." She stated, waiting for the door to open. After a relieved sigh was heard, the door opened to reveal a smiling Pinkie Pie; and when Twilight tilted her head, she could see Fluttershy, waving at her with an unsure smile and a Pidgey perched in her lap.
"Come in, Twilight! Me, Fluttershy, Sasha and Peace were just talking about you!" Pinkie smiled wide. Twilight trotted inside and sat down next to Fluttershy. Pinkie shut the door right after that and went to go sit down next to her friends. The Pidgey in Fluttershy's lap fluffed it's wings and started to clean it's feathers. Twilight noticed one Pokémon was gone.
"F-Fluttershy?" Twilight stuttered. Fluttershy's eyes started to droop with worry. "Where is the Spearow I gave you?" Fluttershy's ears perked up tall before they were folded back. She blushed and started petting her Pidgey.
"It's fine, Twilight." Fluttershy released a relieved sigh before continuing. "Your tone made me think somepony...or something passed away." She hummed a cheerful tune and continued petting. "Since I had two of those bird Pokémon, I asked Applejack if she wanted it. She agreed and now it's even. I asked Rarity first, but when I told her it's a bit rough, she refused to even talk about it. And it was a little rough. Whenever Angel refused to eat his yummy food, that bird would peck him until he ate. Whenever I would agree to whatever Angel is persuading me to do, it would chirp loudly in this scratchy voice. But Applejack said that if she could stand vampire fruit bats, she could stand a pesky bird. " Fluttershy explained, petting her Pokémon as she said it.
"I see what you mean, Fluttershy. Care to tell me who 'Peace' and 'Sasha' are?" Twilight asked, nodding her head. Pinkie squealed with excitement.
"This is Sasha," Pinkie said while shoving her Rattata into Twilight's face. "And that's Peace!" Pinkie pointed to Fluttershy's bird. Twilight cocked her head at Pinkie.
"I understand why Fluttershy would have named her bird Peace, but why'd you name your rat Sasha?"
"Because it's a girl, silly! Plus, when I brought it home yesterday, it kept on saying, 'Rat! Rattata!' and so I named it Sasha because of it's name!" Twilight made a face.
"What does 'Rattata' have anything to do with 'Sasha'?"
"Duh, because it says, 'Ratatatatata!' like Sasha does!"
"I don't get it, and I don't want to know who Sasha is," Twilight grunted as she got up. "It's been fun being here, girls. Just be sure nopony sees those animals, alright? If they're seen, who knows what Luna would do to them!" Twilight waved goodbye at them before she teleported to Applejack's farm. She had teleported to the entrance of the orchard, where many of the tree's apples shined bright in the sun. Grunts of Applejack echoed throughout the entire orchard, and you could hear her loudly curse sometimes due to the echoing. Twilight teleported over to her.
"Darnit!" Applejack cursed. "Not again! That's been the 13th time today!"
"What's the matter, AJ?" Twilight asked as she watched Applejack stomp the ground in frustration and watch something fly through the sky. Applejack looked up at Twilight and smiled.
"Oh, howdy Twilight! What brings you here?" She asked.
"Why are you cursing and grunting?"
"Oh, it's just that me and Lasso are playin' a game. The main goal is to get as many apples as possible in a basket. Lasso 'ere has been beatin' me 4 times in a row, and just now she got 4 points in a row for the 13th time." Applejack explained, pointing up at the bird flying in the sky. She whistled a western tune and the bird instantly flew down and perched on the hoof AJ was holding out. "This 'ere is Lasso. Twilight, Lasso. Lasso, Twi."
Twilight giggled. "Pleased to meet you, Lasso." The Pokémon just stared at her with a look of discomfort and anger. "I-Is it okay?" Applejack laughed, and the bird seemed to smirk as she laughed.
"That's his normal face. I know this because I gave him a cracker and he snuggled with me with that face on. At first, I thought the same thing, but I got used to it as time passed by." Applejack looked at Lasso and it ruffled it's feathers before taking off to the sky to get more points.
"That's so sweet!" Twilight squeaked. "The only advice I really have to give you is that make sure it isn't seen, but I guess you aren't having trouble with that. If it ever is seen, by anypony , come and tell me immediately, okay?" Applejack nodded and bucked a tree.
"Ha! I've got 45 points now! I bet you won't even get close to 30!" She called out, and Lasso cried out, "SPEAAAROOOOWWW!"
"Applejack, Applejack! Guess what ah saw earlier today! Guess, guess, guess!" A familiar, young country voice screamed from the entrance. Twilight gasped, but when the young filly went over to AJ, she didn't seem to notice Lasso at all.
"What is it, little sis? Did you get your cutie mark?" Applejack laughed as Applebloom started jumping as if she just ate a bag of sugar.
"Nope, but the Cutie Mark Crusaders have come up with a new way of getting our cutie marks! But that's not the thing I was going to tell ya'. Listen to this, big sis - what if somepony had water shooting out of the back of their hooves?"
Applejack rolled her eyes and snickered. "That ain't possible, sugarcube. Somepony would get hurt doin' that." Applebloom laughed loud - like, really loud.
"It IS possible, Applejack! I just saw it!" Applebloom laughed.
"Was the pony a unicorn?" AJ asked. Applebloom frowned and her ears drooped.
"Y-yes..."
"Then it was just magic." Applejack said with a smile and a pat of her little sister's back. "Now go inside, Applebloom. Maybe Granny Smith is planning on making an apple pi-"
"Applejack!" Twilight interrupted just as Applebloom was walking towards the barn. "There isn't a spell that can allow a unicorn - or anypony - to squirt water out of their back hooves! And this is coming from an alicorn, AJ!"
Applebloom spun around. "So that must mean he's really experienced as a unicorn!" She squealed. "And it must mean the thingy he did was real!" Twilight furrowed her eyebrows as she glanced at a tree trunk. She looked back at Applebloom.
"Take me to this stallion you're talking about." Twilight shifted her wings for a more comfortable position. Applebloom frowned a little in confusion.
"I'm not sure if he's still there, Twilight."
"Well, then let's go look for him." The princess started walking towards the entrance of the orchard, but she stopped once she realized nopony was following her. "Well?" She said, looking back at them. Applejack shrugged, and Applebloom smiled wide as her stubby hooves started running to the entrance.
A few minutes later, At Ponyville...
After the three had finally managed to exit the Sweet Apple Acres, they reached Ponyville. It seemed as if nothing ever happened - everypony was calm and fillies and colts ran around each other in a game of freeze tag. Applebloom smiled and took a step forward to join the game, but Applejack put her hoof on her shoulder and shook her head. The 3 continued to walk around, occasionally asking Applebloom what the stallion looked like.
"I already told ya' a million times, princess! No offense, I mean, but I told ya' already that he was peach and had a weird, orange haircut with some blue hair sticking out of THAT haircut!" She whined when Twilight asked her for the 5th time. Twilight turned around at Applebloom, looking at her sternly.
"I only asked you 5 times, Applebloom! Plus, you have no reason to be acting like that. We aren't seeing that pony you speak of anywhere, and I'm starting to think you tricked us just to stop us from our work! Tell the truth this time, Applebloom; is that stallion actually real, or is he one of your jo-" Twilight was cut off by a pony bumping into her. She jerked her head around before she saw a peach stallion with puffy, orange hair and a somehow extremely sharp horn. He had some blue streaks of hair coming out of what seemed to be his eyebrows, and he had an unusually round muzzle. He smiled nervously.
"O-Oh! I'm so sorry, miss! I didn't see where I was going, it's totally my fault! I-I didn't mean to bump into you. I'm so sorry!" He apologized. Twilight's eyes widened as a wolf whistled in her head. She instantly blushed and backed away from him.
"N-n-no! You don't need to be sorry! It was m-me who didn't notice I was in the middle of the path, and I should've been looking at what I was doing." She stuttered, and Applebloom gagged behind her. The stallion laughed nervously and waved to her before he walked off, muttering. Twilight sighed happily before she looked at Applejack and Applebloom. AB was holding her muzzle and her cheeks were full and green, and AJ was face-hoofing. Twilight made a confused face until her eyes widened and her mouth dropped open.
"Wait a second..." She said before jerking her head towards the stallion she bumped into.
