Drifter

I slowly started to open my eye's and move around again.  There was a heavy pounding in my head and the side of my neck hurt like hell.  I then started to look around the room to see if I could recognize anything or get an idea of where I was.  It did me no use for the room was blank.  There wasn't a single thing in the room except for the table or tray that I was on.  I then realized I couldn't remember anything from what happened.  I started to panic.

"Hey let me out of here!  Please I didn't do anything wrong ... Ok maybe I killed a few pony's ... or a few hundred.  But that's not the point!  Just Let me go please ... It's COLD!!!!!"  And I wasn't lining I could see my breath in the room and also there were even some ice cycles that were on the corners and even the ceiling.  I then felt really stupid for I had just been broken by a little chill.  I sat up on the bed and decided to look around again.  I only saw the same four walls but I did see a door were I could try to get out.  There was also a small camera in the top corner by the door.  I instantly felt unsettled and went up to the camera.  I flew up to it and examined it.  There was a red light on it indicating that it was on, so I did what any idiot would do.  I smashed the camera and then went down to the bed again and went and hid under it.  It didn't take long before there was a noise at the door and I just hoped that they didn't turn on the lights.  The door opened and a single changeling stepped in and looked around.  I wasn't as supervised as I thought I would be for I have made many enemies most of which where changelings.  I waited for him to pass me and for some reason the dumb ass didn't look under the bed.  I got out behind him and strangled him for I didn't truly know weather or not that the ones keeping me captive where trying to hurt me.  When he collapsed I checked for a pulse to make sure that he was still alive.  I then went out of the room and looked around the hallway.  To my left there was a large amount of door's on either side but was a dead end.  Although my right was the same but was not a dead end and went in that direction and started to look for an exit.  When I got to the end of the hallway there was a set of double doors, I looked through the windows and saw that there was a whole room filled with changelings all of various colors.  I then had to duck for a changeling was coming right for the door that I was hiding behind.  For some reason waking up in this place made me really stupid for the door crushed me against the wall and my cover was then painfully blown.

"Oh I'm sorry are you alright?  Wait aren't you the one we had in the cold room because yo had an allergic reaction?"

I stared at the changeling female that was apparently a one of the nurses or something at the medical area I think that I am in.  I then gave a stupid response that you would hear from an idiot.  Like me.

"Cold room?"  Was all that I had to say and a very concerned look took over her face.

"Where is the assistant that I sent to check on you?"  Guilt took over and my face obviously showed it.

"Um... I kinda strangled him... But! he is still alive I checked for his pulse!"  I said trying to in a way right what I did wrong but it did me no good.  She quickly ran away and went to the unconscious assistant.  I hung my head in shame for the one I thought was trying to kill me was there because he was told to check on me.  I walked out into what I guessed was the lobby or waiting room and quickly found an exit.    I soon that I was in the same place that all of the hive meetings are held and realized that I was in the same hive I was in when the squad was disbanded.  I then had to sit down for I did not feel well anymore and was also a little light headed.

"Nightshade?"  I heard a familiar voice say but really didn't want to see any'ling at the moment for how I felt and feared that I might.  I then vomited all over my friend for they had turned me around and that was enough for my to hurl.  Sadly for them though I released a large amount of builders goo.  Or at least that's what I call it there are many names.  I then noticed that the changeling that I throw up on was a now very purple looking Blood Crest and was not very amused by what had just ended up all over her face.

"Good to see you to ... I guess."  She then started to try and wipe it off of her but sadly wouldn't come off for a changelings goo is only compatible to the changelings of the same hive.  There for she could not get it off herself and now had her whoove stuck to her face as well.

"A little help her Nightshade..."  Her face was completely red, well besides the purple.

"S-sorry."  I stuttered and I started to wipe off the goo from her face.  I then tried to apologize to her.

"Listen um Blood Crest I'm really sorry about this but I'm not really feeling well right now and I don't know how I got here.  I know where I am now but ... I've already almost killed a guy and I have no memory of what happened to me before..."  I stopped for I still couldn't remember.  I know of some if not most of it but I'm still fuzzy and most all of what happened after some hospital thing.

"Nightshade are you ok?"  she asked pulling me out of thought and from what I could see looked really concerned.  I stammered at first before answering.

"I-I.. I'm fine just ... I'm just a little confused at the moment as well as scared.  I really just want some sleep right now an-"  She cut me off.

"Nightshade listen you just need to calm down ok..."  I had gotten most all of the goo off of her by this point and her hoof was now free.  Since it was free she put it on my shoulder to try to comfort me.

"You can come with me there is an empty bunk in my room now.  Shard was there but he moved rooms so that he could be with a female.  And we both know by now that he won't be moving back any time soon."  With that she stood up again and motioned me to follow her so I did.  She lead me to her room and said that I would have the bottom bunk.  She then went into the bathroom to bath to get the rest of the goo off.    I went to lie down on my new bed and sunk deep under the covers.  It had been so long since I had sleep in a bed let alone get myself there.  I closed my eye's and soon fell asleep.

I sired in my sleep and got up twice to get more blankets.  It was still winter and it was no more warm inside than it was out.

But now it was morning and I know this because an alarm had gone off to wake me.  I tried to settle down to get more sleep when I noticed that some'ling else was in my bunk.  I shot my head up to see who it was, and obviously it was Blood Crest.

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you."  She said looking at me as if there was nothing strange with her being in my bed.

"Why are you in my bed?"  I asked in response a sly smile grew on her face and she started to giggle.

"I'm in your bed because I was cold.  And because you invited me in."  With that she nuzzled me and put her head back down and shut her eye's again.  But came considerably closer than she was before.  My head was left up stuck as if it was frozen and my face red as ever.

"I-I ... I don't remember inviting you to into my bed..."  I said stuttering over almost every word but could barely manage to speak the first ones.  She opened her eye's again and had wore another friendly worm smile.

"Well I guess that I should have expected that, you were very tired and I had to help you back into bed.  But don't worry nothing happened between us last night.  Well unless you count cuddling."  She said once again nuzzling me as well as pulling me back down to the bed again.

"But I still don't understand if nothing happened between us than why are you nuzzling me and wh-"  She stopped me burring her head into my chest.

"Because I'm lonely and I now that you are too.  I'm not stupid I've had my eye on you for a while but I was still with Black Fang but..."  She stopped and pushed her head against my body.  She started to cry for I felt her tears against my skin.  I rested my head atop her's and hugged her.  I was very uncomfortable about the situation but I had known her for almost my whole life and she was my best friend.  She had always somehow made me feel better when I was sad but I had never been able to do the same.  She brought her head up and looked at me.  Tears where still falling down her face and I don't believe I had ever seen some'ling cry so much.  She hugged me tightly and I held my grip on her as well.  We stayed in this warm embrace for a long time before letting go.  I have never been with a female before and have no fucking idea what I am doing.

She looked at me again before nuzzling me.  Then without a word she got up and left for the bathroom.   I soon heard the water running and figured that she was bathing again.  I lied my head back down and tried to think but all I could think about was her.  Unfortunately like most all males I have an extremely perverted mind and well they are not the best thoughts.  I decided to get up as well and started for the door.
