Fallout Caneighda: Project Whorizons

by Ben Garrison
When a portal to another world is found in Quebec, eight soldiers of the C.F.C.E.C.E.R.E.L.S.F.R.C. are dispatched and inadvertently begin the scramble for Equestria

In a world where the middle east is wreaked by war.
A world where the US has lost it's Hyperpower status.
A world where the concept of space adventures are hopelessly out of reach, and the glory of the past is nothing more than words on pages.
A world where EA thought it was a good idea to revive Syndicate as an FPS.
A world where MLP:FiM doesn't exist.
Everything will change, especially war.

When an alien portal appears in Quebec, the Canadian First Contact Extraterrestrial Combat Emergency Response Expeditionary Logistical Service Force Regiment of Canada (C.F.C.E.C.E.R.E.L.S.F.R.C.) is dispatched to 'test the waters' of what lies beyond.

Beyond they find the ruins of a world that bears an eerie resemblance to their own, now acting as Canada's vanguards in the gang ridden streets of Detrot, the adventure for glory, honour, riches, nation, justice for the oppressed, and to educate the native Equestrians on the glory of the double-double and hockey begins!

While the story is primarily a comedy, and thus not be taken too seriously, it is also the story of honest to goodness average people who have spent their entire live dreaming about adventure, and constantly getting let down by the concept of 'the real world', who finally get a chance at a true adventure.

The story also mixes British style colonialism, Cold War scenarios, gang violence, drug trafficking, and elements of sci-fi together in a nice pot of overtly Canadian parody.

(Note: A back story of a certain character is probably the only thing here that needs to be taken seriously, everything else is mostly non serious.)
(Note: I'm Canadian so I can make these jokes)
