Crossing Time
Chapter 2: Just a Normal Day
Previous ChapterTwilight and Spike were in the kitchen, eating their pancakes that Spike had prepared. Spike stopped for a moment before criticizing Twilight, "Twi, you have got to stop staying up all night, it's messing with your sleep. I know you're a princess and all, but you need your energy to get through the day. Promise me you at least get more than eight hours of sleep, it's making me worried seeing you all zombified like this."
Twilight didn't want to admit it, but Spike was right, she needed her energy to make sure that her duties and responsibilities were done right. Besides, she didn't want to embarrass herself if she fell asleep in court again. Twilight sighed in defeat, "Ok Spike, you're right, I do need sleep and I promise." After saying this she was about to take another bite when Spike interrupted her.
"No, that won't do Twilight, you got to Pinkie promise." Spike said with a frown.
Twilight sighed yet again and recited the promise with the motions, "I cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye. Are you happy Spike?"
Spike was in fact happy, he smiled before chowing down on his pancakes, making chomping noises. His face was covered in pancake making Twilight giggle. Their fun was interrupted by a knock on the door. Twilight got up from her seat and went to go answer it. To Twilight's surprise, as well as Spike and some onlookers, there stood a stallion, colored brown, short mane, one regular eye, another eye that is messed up and forever mostly closed, and a mirror shard stuck to his head.
The stallion had in his left hoof a sheet of paper, which he looked at it and then at Twilight, "Excuse me madam, but where can I find a library around here? I am in need of a specific one, a Golden Oaks Library."
Twilight blinked twice before replying, "Um sir, this is the Golden Oaks Library.Hi, my name is Twilight and I-"
Twilight noticed that the stallion was not in front of her anymore, but inside the library, searching for something, "Where is it, where is it? Come on Raul, you should have given me a better description of it."
Twilight, besides being angry for him ignoring her, was confused and didn't understand on what this stallion, this poor, poor pony that has obviously been through so much, was looking for. "Uh excuse me sir, but do you need any, oh I don't know, help?"
The stallion took offense to Twilight's reply and turned to the purple alicorn with anger spelled all over his face, "Help? OF COURSE I NEED HELP!!! I need to find a book, one of a brown cover, no words on or in it, and the cover showing a hoofprint in gold with a number zero on it. Do you have that book?"
Twilight couldn't reply, she was too deep in thought on if she had seen a book like that ever. After a couple more seconds the stallion continued to search the library bookshelves. "Have I seen a book like that, I wonder." Twilight asked to nopony but her.
The stallion was about to take another book when he heard Twilight's voice yet again, "So Mr., who are you and who is Raul? Why do you need this book, is it important? Is it from your family or something? Why are there no writing in this book? Who made it? W-"
Twilight was cut off yet again by the stallion, but this time he spoke, "Enough with these questions, all you need to know is that this book can very well save all of Equestria, it carries information on how to kill alicorns and other immortals and what their history is, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and where they mostly reside. Right now I know of an alicorn that everypony loves, but she is in fact a tyrant. And no, I don't mean Luna, she is already influenced by this crook, this villain of despair. I should know, she caused me to loose my family by Timberwolves and she said that the path was clear of any danger. Now loom at me, I was a kid when it happened and now my past is shown as scars, I need to end her now."
Twilight was fascinated by this new and enlighten evidence, but she still had one more question left, "Well if the tyrant is an alicorn then who, might I ask, is this lovable villain?"
The stallion grew dark and his eyes were a perfect match to eachother, he had shown seriousness for this one specific question, "That alicorn, milady, is in fact ... the evil Celestia."
Somewhere under Canterlot was the crystal caves, where something flashing, an orb, resided. The orb broke and the light died out to reveal an orange-colored mare, an earthpony. She had some bandages on her right hoof wrapped all around and a scar on her flank. She had spiky, long light purple hair and her eyes were red-colored, she wore an angered expression and she knew where she was.
"So, back in time, 2014 to be exact. Jaeger girl, you have done the impossible. If I'm not mistaken this is the year where princess Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and Twilight are still alive along with Discord as an ally. Well the caves still look the same, except no Future Predators, groovy."
