The Tale Of Teal

A New Home

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

As I sat down, I began to wonder about how my new home would be. Would the ponies there be nice? Would there be any good houses available? No, I can't think like that, I'll stress myself out too much. Lets think happy thoughts, lets assume I find a good home and meet some ponies, maybe even a mare. Now that's good thinking, meeting a good mare. I hope I get the chance to.

I must have been thinking about it for a while, because the waitress came and dropped the food off. She didn't say anything though, just put it on the table and walked off. I wonder if she is okay. I want to ask her if she is okay, but we just met and it would be sorta creepy if I did. I'm sure she is just tired from working.

My food looks really well made, assuming you can make bad salad or water that is... I picked up the fork and found out it taste as good as it looks. I'm just going to say that the water must be good too, since water can't really have a bad flavor, unless its carbonated water, or some other junk that you add to it so it looks fancy.

I continued to think about the possible outcomes of my new home, mainly the positive ones, but occasionally my train of thought would wreck and I'd think about something terrible happening. I do have enough money to buy a decent home, and it was a small town, so I think everyone would be friends with everyone, hopefully. Shouldn't be to hard to make some friends. I sat there for 45 minutes or so just thinking about all the possibilities, until I finally got bored with it and walked back to my seat, ignoring the now happy looking waitress.

As I walked back, I saw the same group of ponies, still alone and either listening to music or reading. I wonder why everyone is alone. I know I'm alone because I'm just getting to Ponyville, so maybe they are doing the same.

I arrived at my seat and took out my mp3 player, and listened to the other DJ PON-3 albums, I had all of them. I really like electronic music, so I was thinking to become a DJ. When I start looking for a more permanent job, of course. I had three hours until the train arrives at Ponyville, so I think I'll listen to an album, then sleep the rest of the way.

The album only lasted about twenty minutes, and I was getting tired from the salad anyways, so it'd be a good time to sleep. I set my alarm to two hours and thirty-five minutes from now, and went to sleep.

My alarm went off in a middle of my dream about that I got to Ponyville, and everything was all nice and dandy, and I made friends with everyone, and I got a job as a DJ. Then I woke up and ruined everything. But I guess waking up is better then sleeping in a train and missing my stop. I have five minutes to pack up all of my belongings, since I was being smart and set it to five minutes before. I somewhat neatly shoved everything into my backpack and zipped it up. It was my departing present from my parents, it was a black and dark green bag, which are my favorite colors, and it had the strap that goes diagonally across so it goes on one shoulder and under the other one.

I sat there waiting for the train to stop.I didn't want to look out the window, because I want to take it all in as soon as I step out. Four minutes pasted and I felt the train stop and the doors open. I got up and walked out the closest door, I noticed I was the only one getting off. Oh well...

As I walked out I began to take in all that Ponyville has, a lot of ponies are walking around, and I can see tons of buildings. There is even a tree house, I don't understand why someone would live in a tree, but I'm sure they have there reasons. Ain't like they are living in a library or something. I also saw some pony that had a grey mane, glasses and had a scroll for her cutie mark. I remember reading that that's what the mayor looked like. She didn't look to busy, So I jogged over to her to ask her where I should start.

"Um, Are you the mayor?" I asked.

"Yes I am, what do you need?" She replied.

"I just moved here, and I was wondering if you could help me get situated." I said.

"You, just moved here?' She said, looking a bit worried.

"Yes I did, whats wrong? I asked, wondering if I said anything wrong.

"It's not you, its just that there is a pony who goes sorta all out when a new pony moves here, and I don't know when she will pop up." She answered.

"Well, she probably won't show up for a bit, so you can explain everything." I said.

"Yes, you're probably right, anyways, luckily you got here at the right time, we have a pretty good home available for 200 bits, 100 bits for month." She said.

"That would be perfect, where do I drop off the money?" I asked.

"If you have the money now, just give it to me, I have the papers in my bag." She answered.

"Yeah, I got the money right here," I said as I took out 200 bits from my bag.

She grabbed the money and placed it into a pouch she had. She handed me a few papers that were stabled together, "Fill this out and give it to me by the end of this week." She said. "Oh wait," she got out a piece of paper and began to write something on it. She finished and gave it to me, "The first address it your new home, and second is where you can come to give me the papers." She said.

"Thanks," I said as I read the paper and the signs around me.

"You're welcome, just don't forget to give me the papers," She replied, "Oh, also the house it five blocks that way," she said pointing behind me.

"Thanks, again." I replied.

" No problem," she said as she walked off.

This is turning out as I hoped, I already have a house and a hundred or so bits left. I followed her directions towards my new home. I like this place already!
