Spike in Fillyland
Spike's maze
Previous ChapterSpike found himself in a room, respectably large; not as big as the library but still quite big. There were many doors on the far ends of the room ranging in different sizes and there was also a big oak table in the very middle of the room. On the table was a key, a glass with a weird looking liquid in it and a box of differently shaped cookies. Spike reached for the key and tried in on many doors. It didn't work on any of them.
"Oh nuts!" thought Spike. He then turned to the drink.
"Drink me!" Spike read the label on the bottle aloud. Drink me. Spike didn't mind, anyway it looked a bit like the slushies they made on Nightmare night. He took the cork out of the bottle and took a large swig out of it. Spike felt nothing. It didn't taste anything like the Nightmare night slushies. It actually made him shrink. He didn't feel it but he knew it. He then saw a door on the far left. He guessed it was smaller than the others since he couldn't see it when he was his normal baby dragon size. But now it was large enough for him to fit through. He turned the key through the lock and opened the door. He saw another garden but this time, a house was in his view. A pink house that almost looked exactly like Sugarcube corner. Only one thing, it wasn't Sugarcube corner! Spike walked through the door and saw that the door of the house was wide open. Perfect! He went in and peered through one of the room locks. He saw a pink pony with a mane that looked liked the whips and curls of a pudding. She had a red dress on....wait that was Pinkie Pie! She held a pig which Spike presumed was her so called child. Spike also saw a cook through the lock. He was stirring a soup and adding lots and lots of pepper in. Spike tried turning the door knob. It wasn't locked!
"Stop cook! Stop!! You're adding too much pepper in! This is meant to be a SWEET soup not a SNEEZE soup!" Pinkie Pie ordered the cook. The cook just smirked and kept on adding pepper in the cauldron.
"Aye aye aye! Oh servants just don't obey orders these days. Who exactly are YOU?" Pinkie Pie turned to look at Spike.
"Pinkie Pie! Oh am I glad to see you!" Spike walked towards her.
"Don't you know that you are only allowed to call me Duchess Pinkamena Diane?!"
"Sorry Duchess, I'm new here." Spike bowed down to the Duchess.
"You are forgiven. Now help me put Pig to sleep." Pinkie ordered Spike.
"Is that what you call your child? Don't you know that's quite a...well...strange name?" Spike was taken aback by what Pinkie called her child.
"How dare you! Don't worry Pig, don't be offended. This dragon has clearly lost his mind." She made that crazy gesture with her pinkie finger.
Spike decided not to say anymore and cradled Pig in his arms. When the Pig had fallen asleep, Spike lay her in her cot.
"Very well. Now help the cook fix this soup. He has clearly ruined it. The Queen of Hearts is coming for dinner and this soup has to be perfect! Chop chop!"
Spike felt that he wouldn't collaborate very well with the Duchess's cook. He seemed quite cheeky and smug. Spike added countless armfuls of marzipan cubes and cherries, trays of warm, gooey fudge, peanut butter and grated chocolate to garnish.Spike handed the cook a pepper mill of sugar and he added that instead. Pinkie didn't mind a little taste.
"The Queen of Hearts will love this soup! This mega fantastic winner of the competition of soups in Equestria and maybe the best thing Princess Celestia has ever had! Oh I know what this calls for...a P-A-A-A-R-T-A-Y!!!!"
The Pinkie party jam had started. Spike was used to these, Pinkie Pie had at least one everyday. The party went on for ages! After a while Spike decided to leave. But on his way out, he noticed something suspicious. Pig was missing!
"Duchess!," Spike switched the jukebox off. "Pig's gone! I don't know where he went!"
"Well then what are you waiting for?! Get out of this kitchen and FIND MY PIG!!!" Pinkie roared.
Spike walked out of the kitchen. He went outside and saw a strange looking character. He just ignored it and carried on.
This wasn't exactly what Spike was expecting. He remembered the book, the naive of hearts stole the Duchess's pig. He looked out for the naive of hearts.
Spike walked straight for quite a while. He wanted to take a break, but then he found a beach. Spike crossed the sandy shore to see a number of birds playing a game there.
"Hi there! I'm Spike! Just wondering, have you seen the naive of hearts?"
Owliwicious replied, "Nah mate! We've been busy playing Stones! Would you like to play?"
"Ok!" Spike was in the mood for a game. Especially after that meeting with Pinkie Pie.
"Ok mate. All you have to do is keep on running in circles. Don't let anyone tag you ok?" Owliwicious explained.
"Then why is it called Stones?" Spike asked
"No time for questions mate! On your marks, get set, GO!"
Spike started running in circles. It was fun at first but then he started to get dizzy. He slowed down to a stop. A golden finch then tagged him with a stone.
"Oh so that's why it's called stones..." Spike thought.
"Stop everyone! Stop!" called Spike.
The confused birds halted to a stop.
"What is it mate?" asked Owliwicious.
"I've had enough. I'm tired. I'm going to go look for the naive."
"But we have to have a winner mate!" the birds were eager to find out.
"Fine then, Owliwicious you're the winner. Bye!" Spike was eager to get away. He ran and ran and ran.
"Nah Fluttershy! I didn't break yer rattle for Equestria's sake!" Applejack and Fluttershy were arguing. Fluttershy had found her rattle broken and had assumed that Applejack had done it.
Spike had come in in the middle of their quarrel. Applejack spotted the visitor and motioned to Fluttershy to stand up straight.
"G'day! Welcome to Apples and...er no sorry! Welcome to the home of Applejack and Fluttershy!" Applejack welcomed Spike in.
"Hey Applejack! Remember me? Spike?!"
"I ain't no nobody called Spike." Applejack looked confused.
"Oh of course," Spike had realised his mistake. "Have you guys seen the naive of hearts?"
"No, we were too busy arguing because someone mysteriously broke my rattle!" Fluttershy thought she was screaming but no one could hear. It was barely a whisper!
"Forget bout her. She's a bit...miffed at me." Applejack covered up the situation.
"Have you at least seen a pig?" Spike questioned them.
"Er...no?" Fluttershy said but Spike could hear an oink in the background.
"What's that sound?" Spike asked.
"Er...er...it's me stomach. Haven't had breakfast yet." Applejack lied.
"I swear I heard an oink." Spike went round the corner to see the pig tied up to a bush.
"Ok ok the naive of hearts sold it to us for good money! We made a deal. He said that we should hide it from the Duchess. We didn't steal it though, we promise! Oh...what a good pig!" Fluttershy was on her knees.
"Do ya want us to get in trouble because of a pig?!" Applejack handed the pig to Spike.
"Thanks you two. Now how exactly do you get to the Duchess's palace?" Spike asked.
"We don't know." Fluttershy said.
"Nice meeting you two and please keep a look out for the naive. He might be stealing more things on his way." Spike warned.
