The angel of Laughter

After the showdown with Rainbow Dash, Pinkie hopped on home. As she bounced along, she thought of Dashie's words. How was she going to not be late for the next party? She had Pinkie promised that she wouldn't be late. The next day was Mr. Carrot Cake's birthday at the town hall.

"Well, how am I supposed to get to the party on time? I'll just have to make an even CRAZIER contraption than last time! I mean *snort* HOW do you get crazier than a contraption with POLYSTYRENE wings! Well maybe I'll make real wings..."

At that moment,Pinkie arrived at SugarCube corner. She knew EXACTLY what to make...

"Oh not again..."

Groaned RD as she waited on the front doorstep of the town hall. Where was she? She had promised she would be there, but no pony seemed to be around. Rainbow slowly turned to the door, had one last peek, and stepped inside. The party had been going on for a while, and the ponies were already having a good time on the dance floor. But where were Mr. and Mrs. Cake? At that moment, they both entered. Although it was Carrot's birthday, they both looked sad.

"I know you are all wondering where the games are, but our game holder seems to have gone..."

Sobbed Carrot.

"Come on dear, its your birthday, you need to enjoy it!"

"How can I enjoy life at a time of death??"

"Whhh-att do you mee-an gonnne..."

Cried Rainbow.

"This morning Pinkie Pie had made a vehicle because she didn't want to be 'late'"

Rainbow gulped.

"It could fly, this vehicle...so she took off to give it a test spin...and and and..."

Mr. Cake exploded into tears. Cup Cake cuddled him close, and they both left. Rainbow couldn't believe her ears.

"Pinkie...gone...and its all MY fault!!!!"

RD tore out of the building into the unusually cold night.
