It was dinner time at the Apple house, all four Ponyville branch members sat together eating a delicious dinner of daisy sandwiches with apple slices and apple juice. An apple pie was in the oven, almost ready to become a delectable desert, its lovely aroma filling the house. The family was just about to start eating when Granny Smith decided to start a conversation.

"So how was yer day?" asked Granny Smith, directing the question at the whole table but mainly at Applejack knowing her day had been eventful but only also knowing the small details that Applejack and her friends had basicaly saved the farm from some sort of powerful being, probably from a long time ago.

Applejack stalled for a moment pretending to be interested in her sandwich, as she knew it would be hard to answer completely and truthfully without insulting the gentlest and kindest pony in Ponyville, maybe even in all of Equestria! All three of the others stared at her, knowing that everpony at the table knew of each other's day, just not hers.

"It was, interestin' Granny, our friend Fluttershy actually got Discord to start using his magic for good instead of evil, well after he mess with some of her animals and caused all that chaos on our farm." said Applejack, wanting to have faith in her friend but having a hard time completely believing Discord could actually ever be 'reformed'. She quickly muttered under her breath, trying to avoid anyone hearing her, but still having to say it, "even though I still don't trust the varmint." Granny Smith pretending not to hear the second part and responded in a strange manner for her.

"Did you just say Discord?" asked Granny Smith, leaning on both of her old baggy fore hooves across the table looking at Applejack with a questioning eye. Even though Applejack was the Element of Honesty, Granny Smith was having a hard time believing her about Discord being free. Then Applebloom decider to burst into the conversation, wanting attention, like most young fillies and colts.

"Discord, ya know the... uh what did Miss.Cheerilie call it, a dragonc, no wait, I got it! He was the draconequus that made Ponyville a huge mess with cotton candy clouds, chocolate rain, dancing buffalos, not to mention the horrible fact that made mah' sister a liar, Pinkie Pie a grump, Rainbow Dash a traitor, Fluttershy ah bully, Rarity very greedy, and Twilight became all secluded and forever alone again!" said Applebloom. The young filly was proud and surprised she seemed to know something her granny, the oldest pony in Ponyville, did not, though more surprising was the fact her granny seemed to have no knowledge whatsoever of the thing.

"Oh that Discord! I remember 'im form way back when." said granny Smith, her memory jogged as she took another bite from her sandwich. She chewed slowly wating for a reply while the others were staring at her, confused as to how she could think last year could count as way back when.

"Ya mean from just a year ago Granny? I think yer exageratin' again" said Applejack, amused with her granny thinking a year ago could be considered 'way back when' and knowing her granny's tendency to overreact and exaggerate.

"Nope! Back even before Princess Celestia and Luna ruled Equestria way back when!" said Granny, proud to appear to be younger than she actually was. She clapped her hooves together in enthusiasm. Applejack rolled her eyes and Applebloom quietly giggled at her granny's exaggeration. "Come on don't they teach you youngins anything these days? The rare and elusive green coat makes ya look younger for longer, not to mention cuter too!"

"Alright Granny, I think its your bed time" said Applejack, hoping to avoid anymore craziness that day, epically from her granny, who had lost her marbles long before even Big Mac was born.

"But we haven't even had any pie yet!" she said licking her lips at the aroma of the perfect pie, just enough of every fresh, home grown ingredient, hoof made, with apples that were just absolutely perfect. The pie she had just pulled out of the silver oven while Applejack was talking.

"Alright, but as soon as we are done you are going to bed you hear me?" said Applejack, silently laughing at her granny's childish behavior.

"That may have been the best pie you ever made Granny!" said Applebloom, her midsection bulging a bit from her eating almost 1/4 of the large perfect pie.

"Eeyup" said Big Macintosh, his first word said in that long, crazy, yet fun night. This earned some sarcastically relived looks from the rest of the ponies.

"Big Mac, good to see you can talk, I was starting to think you went mute! And they are right Granny, everything about that pie was just perfect!" said Applejack teasing her brother on how silent he always was, no matter the circumstance.

"It's not the quality or ingriedients that make a pie deliceous, it is the family you share it with that brings out th pie's true flavor," said the elderly mare, happy with the complements, but knowing that being with her family made that pie all the sweeter.

"Granny, only you can say something that makes so little sense, yet make it sound so sweet!" said Applejack, which earned a round of laughter from the happy family.

"'Make sense, oh, what fun is there in making sense', ah how cute it was when he said that," Granny thought to her self, wondering if she would ever see her love again, hoping what Applejack had said was true, because if it was, there was no doubt she would, and no doubt it could be very soon...
