Granny Smith and Discord were surprised with how the mare welcomed Discord to the family, no questions asked, Applejack just closed in and gave Discord a bone crushing hug.

"Um, thanks... I guess..." said Discord wondering why Applejack was so accepting of him being married to Smith.

"Hey Applejack, I have a few more things I have to do before supper, can you get that started, make sure you make enough for five, Discord's comin' for dinner whether he wants to or not!" said Granny Smith, after she realized why Applejack was suddenly so accepting.

"Sure Granny!" she responded, turning to Discord she added, "I hope you like apples Discord." Discord's response was just to gesture at his wife, and giving her a look that said, 'I'm married to an apple, if I disliked apples, it would be a fate worse than stone', Applejack giggled at this look.

Applejack trotted off, already planning dinner, leaving Annie Smith with a questioning look from he husband

"Why was she so quick to accept me into the family?" asked Discord, confused as hay, "That doesn't make sense!"

"Make sense? Oh what fun is there in making sense?" Annie replied, earning a glare from Discord, "Ok, fine, she was about 3 when her father died, the poor girl, never had a father figure, Big Mac helped guide her but wasn't quite a father figure, I think she's hopin' you'll be that father figure her life is missin' when Apple Bloom finds out she may react in the same manner."

"Great, now I'm going soft!" Discord thought to himself slightly upset, "I actually want to be a father figure for those two! What the hay?"

"Alright Discord, we better get goin', we don't want to be late for supper," said Annie interrupting his thoughts, after noticing the confused, angry look on his face, she thought it would be best to tear him away from those thoughts.

"Huh? Oh yeah, let's go," he said, hoping that he hadn't thought out loud, which he did sometimes, usually at the worst possible moment.

Discord had Granny climb on his back and they flew swiftly over to Sweet Apple Acres, Rainbow Dash saw them and nearly fell out of the sky, they saw this and chuckled.

Dinner was a large meal filled with all sorts of foods, though most were apple related in someway. Discord was stuck between Granny Smith, who he didn't mind, and Apple Bloom, who was going on and on about her day of crusading, Discord actually enjoyed hearing about all the trouble they had caused without knowing.

"Discord, Applejack told me you were married to Granny Smith is this true?" asked Apple Bloom, looking up at Discord with her huge eyes.

"Yes, I am married to Annie," said Discord, happily. As soon as she heard this Apple Bloom jumped out of her chair and gave Discord a hug, which surprised him more than Applejack was when she found out, "I'll take that as you don't mind me being in your family? What about you Big Mac?"

"Nope." said the bright red stallion, hoping, like the others, that Discord could be the father figure they lost so early on in their young lives.

"Of course not," Apple Bloom responded, "It will be interesting havin' you around here, OH! OH! Can you make the apples huge again? We could make a huge profit from those!"

"I wish I could, but Celestia hates it when I mess with the laws of nature," he said, there was a quick pause and a small frown on Apple Bloom's face, "You know what? Let's do it just to annoy Celly!" Granny Smith just facehoofed.

"Hey Granny how did you meet Discord anyhow?" said Applebloom, suddenly realizing she had no idea.

"That's a great story, how 'bout we go to the livin' room and I'll all of you about it!" said Granny, she received looks of approval from those around her.

They gathered around the living room as Granny started her story.

It was long ago, I was only 15 at the time, back then you were considered a full grow mare! I woke up one morning, went down stairs but none of the family was there. I quickly looked out side and I could not believe what I saw! Cotton candy clouds that rained chocolate milk, the river had been turned to pudding and our apples become huge, not to mention that the pigs could fly. I saw my family and rushed over, and I said, 'wow this is so awesome' I only received angry looks, tellin' me that they did not think the same, I just responded with, 'I'm going to go see if I could find the cause of this,' I looked around our small town for a bit and then I saw him, he was like no other creature I had ever seen before, I went up to him and asked 'who are you and how are you doing all the fun things?' His only response was,

'You think this is fun? Nopony has ever enjoyed my chaos or called it fun! It's actually supposed to be fun but everyone hates it! My name is Discord by the way.' I could tell he was actually upset no one liked it, so I told him, 'Why does no one think it's fun! Once you get past how different it is, you could actually live an almost care-free life in it!' the smile on his face was like he hadn't truly been happy in years it was then he asked me, 'do you want to go for a picnic sometime?'
