Rainbow with hearts

~~~Chapter 3~~~

Rainbow just stared at the horizon when Soarin and Spitfire flew off to, even though they were no longer visible. She felt an empty feeling inside her now... its like Soarin fill in that little hole in her heart that she never noticed was there.

"Are you ok Rainbow?" Fluttershy said from beside her. "Would you like to talk about it? or would you rather have some time alone for now?" She said. She's such a nice friend Rainbow thought no wonder all the animals adore her.

"Actually Fluttershy, I'd rather talk about it later. I feel like going to tell the rest of our friends about this, just so they know what has happened." Rainbow replied with a slight dreamy voice.

"Ok then, would you like to go now or have breakfast first?"

Rainbows stomach growled "Some breakfast would be nice"

"- But she could be at her house crying... can we pleeeease go and give her some cupcakes! "The pink mare said to Twilight.

"No Pinkie in a situation like this she would probably want to be left alone for a while. Besides, Fluttershys gone to check on her... being that she's taken this long she might be in a bad state" Twilight said.

"But the cupcakes would-"

"Pinkie darling" came a posh voice " I agree with Twilight, love when it is taken too fast can be confusing and even depressing. I think we should leave her until she calms down... maybe leave her for half an hour and see what happens"

"Yeah Rarity that's exactly what we should do" Said the country girl.

"Awww..... She would have loved the cupcakes" Pinkie mumbled.

"I know she would of darling but cupcakes aren't enough for something that can be this life changing for her..." said Rarity.

"WHAT!!! cupcakes can put a smile on ANYONE!" yelled Pinkie..

"Pinkie shush! this is a Library! I know its my library but you need to be quite in here!" Twilight said angrily.

"What about a hurray-Dashie-has-Soarin-from-the-wonderbolts-liking-her party! Pinkie said with a enthusiastic voice.

"Pinkie! this probably ain't something that you should be celebrating until you know how she feels! If she's ok with it, but I doubt it, then you can ask her" Said Applejack.

"In most romance novels when their rushed into love they usually have emotional break-downs" Said Twilight.

"Yeah but this ain't a book Twilight" Applejack said

"But its possible!" Twilight said defensively

"Girls, girls... why don't we send a letter to Princess Cadence... she'll know what to do!" suggested Rarity.

"That's a great idea Rarity! said Twilight almost jumping out of her seat at the idea of writing a letter. "SPIKE!!" she yelled

"Yes Twilight?" Spike asked

"Take a note please!" ordered Twilight. Spike reached his hands behind his back and mysteriously pulled out a roll of parchment and a quill.

"I still think my cupcakes idea is better" mumbled Pinkie as she crossed her arms.

"Dear Cadence,

                         You probably already know this, but a rumour has got out that Soarin for the Wonderbolts has taken a liking to Rainbow Dash. If this rumour is true...we would like to know how Rainbow might be able to cope with it. We've sent Fluttershy to check on her but she's been their for at least three hours, I don't like the sound of that.

''Is that all?" Spike asked

"Yes, send it please!" answered Twilight

Spike breathed in and held the letter in front of him. He blew out green fire which burned the letter up into grey smoke and was sent strait to Cadence.

"Now..." Twilight said "we wait".

"Hey guys" came a voice from the door

"DASHIE!" Pinkie Pie screamed and landed on top of her for a death hug."We where all worried about you and how you might feel about all this is the rumour true is it is it?" she said in one big breath and jumped off her."Oh and are you ok with it? I was thinking of throwing you a hurray-Dashie-has-Soarin-from-the-wonderbolts-liking-her party but Applejack said it wasn't something to be celebrating until I know how you feel! are you ok with it can we throw the party! pwetty pwease!!" The exited mare said in yet another massive breath.

Fluttershy was now hiding behind one of Twilights bushes at Pinkie sudden outburst.

"Pinkie!! what did I tell you about being quite!" said Twilight.

"Oops, sorry!" Pinkie said with a smile.

"Rainbow come and sit down and explain everythen' to us" said Applejack. Rainbow sat down on one of the empty cushions on the floor and Fluttershy sat next to her.

"Are the rumours true?" asked Twilight.

Rainbow nodded "yes, they're true" she said.

Rarity let out a gasp as she uses her magic to drag her fainting couch behind her. She put the back of her hoof on her head and dramatically fell backwards onto the couch.

"Are you ok with it so I can host the party!" said Pinkie, who was now at the verge of face planting the wooden floor of the library.

"I wouldn't get your hopes up too high Pinkie, she fainted when she saw the paper" said Fluttershy

"I still cant believe I did that, that's such a Rarity thing to do" Rainbow said.

"Oh but darling fainting is good! it adds drama" said Rarity as she flicked her hair with her hoof.

"Rarity I'm not sure if ya noticed but RD is a tomboy" came Applejacks voice.

"Back to the main topic" Twilight said with urgency.

And then Spike burped out green smoke and a scroll popped out and into his claws.

"Is that from Cadence?" Twilight asked.

"Yep, sure is!" Spike answered and gave the scroll to Twilight.

"Dearest Twilight,

                            Yes, I did know about Soarin and Rainbow. Those two would look so cute together! Anyway with my past experiences if she gets confused or scared that's normal. But after that I would suggest she spends some time with him... get to know him a bit more. After that if he really likes you he would make the first move.

"Why did she send a letter?" said Rainbow.

"Because we sent her one asking what you should do if the rumors where true, which they turned out to be" said Twilight."Spike, take another note please!"

"Dear Cadence,

                        Rainbows just told us about the rumour, they turned out to be true. Thankyou for the help.

"Send it please Spike" Twilight said and the letter was once again being send to Cadence in a puff of grey smoke.

"Rainbow, I need to ask you a very important question" Twilight said.

"Yeah, what's that?" asked Rainbow.

"Do you like Soarin back?" asked Twilight.

"Um.. I... Uh..." said Rainbow who was now staring with wide eyes at Twilight.

"Uh... I think so?" said Rainbow.

"Rainbow that's not an answer, either you do or you don't" Said Twilight.

Rainbow sighed "Fine...fine... I admit it... I like Soarin... are you happy now?"

"Oh my Celestia!" screamed Rarity "Rainbow in love! Oh my this is great darling! I can't wait to design your wedding dress!"

"Rarity!" Said Rainbow.

"Oh right, sorry hehe" Said Rarity in a quite voice

"Rarity, next time you should be a bit more quieter, I've already told Pinkie to shush" said Twilight,

"Sorry dear I couldn't help my self!" said Rarity

"So can I host the party Dashie?" Said Pinkie with hopeful eyes.

"Alright fine Pinkie as long as its just us invited ok? and make sure that no one else knows about it" said Rainbow.

"YAY!" screamed Pinkie "Actually I think I should combine it with you birthday party, So we can have you birthday party, But we're also celebrating Soarin liking you! that way, every one will thinks its just a birthday party! How does that sound!" said Pinkie

"Sounds good to me!" Rainbow said.

"How many times do I have to tell you Pinkie, That this is a Library!" said Twilight as she face hoofed herself.
