Rainbow with hearts

"Soarin!?" Rainbow dash screamed. Soarin stood there, wonderbolt uniform on and sweat drenched his mane

Rainbow staggered "how did you know where I lived?" she asked, completely dumbfounded.

He laughed "it wasn't hard... I asked the ponies around here where I could find Rainbow Dash. They said to look for the cloud mansion. Its pretty hard to miss a mansion in the sky!"

Rainbow nodded "Ok then... I know why your here" Rainbow said and met his emerlald green eyes.

OMC.... she thought to herself His eyes.. their like... PERFECT! oh I could stare at them forever! there just so... beautiful! their so good I'm running out of words! eeeek!

"So you heard ... It's true you know"

Rainbow shook her head to get her head out of dream land "of course its true I was the one that saved your pie!"

"... This isn't about the pie" Soarin said... confused.

"Hold on... what?" Rainbow said.

They both stared at each other with confused looks on their faces.

Fluttershy appeared into view, softly fluttering closer to her cloud porch.

"Here you go Rainbow" she said and shyly gave her the newspaper. She stepped away cautiously, afraid that she might burst in anger at what she saw.

EQESTRIAS NEWEST GOSSIP:

SOARIN AND RAINBOW DASH!

Rainbow read aloud.

"Rainbow dash from Ponyville was seen saving a pie which belonged to Soarin the wonderbolt at this years gala. He left multiple signs that he has taken a liking to her:-

~He was caught gazing at her when she wasn't looking.

~Spitfire was heard yelling at Soarin about going near Rainbow das.

~Slight nervousness/raise in pitch in his voice when she saved his pie.

There is no doubt that a close eye will be kept on these two as events unfold"

All went silent for a moment, you could hear I pin drop. Fluttershy was still hiding under her hooves and shaking slightly. Rainbows eyes were glued to the page, quickly scanning over the newspaper report just to make sure she read it right.

Soarin spoke up " like I said... It's true"

"you like me?" Rainbow asked, steping back from the newspaper. Soarin nodded slowly

Rainbow felt her legs go weak. Fluttershy noticed and went by her side to try her best to support her, which didn't help much. Rainbow felt her head being clouded and blackness seeped into her vision. Soarin got worried and stepped in quickly to catch her as she fell. She felt his strong, muscular arms hold her gently. She never knew what is was like to be held in a colts arms until now. She felt safe and secure, like nothing could harm her or take her away. She liked it.

Rainbow woke up on her bed, warm and covered with blankets. Fluttershy probably didn't want me to get cold she thought but I really didn't need *this** many blankets*.The morning sun was just leaving the top of her window... signalling that it was late morning.

She heard sounds of hooves on clouds below, approaching her. The sounds were so soft that it was almost impossible to hear, but clouds are sensitive so at the slightest touch the still make a noise. The sounds started to come up the stairs and down the corridor towards her room.

Fluttershy opened the door quietly and steeped inside, leaving almost-transparent clouds trailing behind her with every step. How does she do it so quietly? Rainbow said to herself She must get it from being so gentle

"Oh, your awake" Fluttershy said.

"yeah" Rainbow said in a weak voice.

"Soarins still downstairs. You've been asleep for about three hours"

"three hours?"

"yes"

"and he's still down their?"

"oh yes"

"wow"

"I know"

"he must really like me"

"I think he does"

"doesn't he need to go back to work?"

"I asked him that, he said that he only had morning shift today. I told him you should be fine but he wasn't going to leave until he knew you were ok"

"wow"

"Do you want to come down stairs and have breakfast?"

"Um... yeah ok"

They both walked slowly down the stairs and Rainbow saw Soarin sitting on her couch staring at the ground. He had a worried look on his face and he was nervously playing around with his hooves.

Somepony knocked on the door.

"ugh" Rainbow groaned, catching Soarins attention

Soarins face lit up "Rainbow! your ok!" he said happily.

"I'll get the door" Fluttershy said with a smile.

"Yeah i'm fine" Rainbow said, as she was surprised with a hug from Soarin.

"SOARIN!" boomed a voice and Fluttershy made a frightened squeak.

Spitfire stormed past Fluttershy and into her house. She happened to see Rainbow and Soarin at the right time when they where hugging.

Soarin groaned and Rainbow turned around

"Do you mind? this is kind of my house" said Rainbow. She didn't care if she was a wonderbolt, she hated people that 'invited' themselves into her house.

"I'm sorry Rainbow Dash but I need Soarin back to work"

Fluttershy frowned "But he said he only had morning shift" she said, clearly confused.

"Oh really? is that so? Soarin!... be prepared for 500 laps of the 100m track and in my office during second break... you have some explaining to do" Spitfire said before flying off into the horizon.

"Don't worry about her... she's just jealous!" said Soarin " I better go... before she adds anymore laps" And her flew away following Spitfire.
