Chapter 1

In the deepest space, a bright purple dot shown through Princess Luna's telescope from the castle balcony. She gasps in deep surprise.

"Could it be?" The frightened princess questioned herself. She glanced once more into the telescope, the dot increased in brightness. Luna squinted.

"It is true." Luna quickly ran inside and found a spell book. Rushing back to the balcony, she flipped through its pages.

"Found it." She stopped at an ancient curse breaker spell and cleared her throat.

"By turn of one

The curse is done

By turn of two

It’s power is through

By turn of three

It ceases to be"

But the shimmering dot remained shimmering in the night sky, Luna was rather paranoid.

"Guards!" She calls. Two of Luna's night guards galloped to the balcony. "try to hold him off. I must warn my sister at once." Luna raced to Celestia the very second the shimmering dot became as dark as the night itself, heading closer towards the earth's surface, spewing out black smoke in all directions. It was now an escape pod.

The guards rushed to the street, their spears pointed straight with points as sharp as a needle.

The ball cracked open as it lay on the Canterlot streets, the red steam raised up from the opening. The shadow of an Alicorn had been visible as the ball aired out. Two bright red dots gleamed brightly, and robotic movements could be heard. The black midst slowly turned gray, only his outline shown from there.

"Attack!" The two noble guards charged with eyes of fury, aiming their best shot. FLING went a spear.

Though the aim was perfect, the spear shattered on contact. The guards shuddered with wide eyes as the Alicorn approached slowly.

"If you think those foolish pieces of material can stop us." The Alicorn shadow said in a deep, male robotic voice. "then our attack won't be as much harm to us as to you.  His eyes still glowing red with a noticeable smirk of victory appearing upon his face.

The guards rushed back into the castle, leaving their duty behind. Only a spear remained at his hooves, laying in the cold, marbled street.

Grasping the spear into his right hoof, the shadow gave a smirk through the gray midst. "Our rein is now."
