Chapter 22: By Right

A few weeks after Travian's stomping of a parasite, he was awoken by a familiar feel. He arose with glee, welcoming the feel entirely. While not as cold as he remembered, it would do him fine. "Snow! I love snow! It's the greatest thing since heat." He smirked at his upcoming pun. "It's so cool." He should have been shot directly in the face for that, but he could get away with it today.

There was a strangeling that awoke as he shouted that. Beforehand, she was probably cuddling him for warmth. "What is this... Stuff?" She tried experimenting with the snow. It was adorable. "It's so... cold."

"It's called snow. Fun stuff, I tell ya. You see, I spent lots of my life in this stuff." How great it was to have it back. It felt natural to him. "I wish it won't go away too fast." It was very fun to play with.

"I wish it does..."

Travian detected traitorism at that instant. "You traitor! How dare you say that?!"

"Well it's too cold for me!" She... unfortunately had a point. Flutterbatch opened the door to her cottage, presumably because of the argument that was clearly not over. There was now an angry bunny on him.

"What are you yelling about out here- oh my gosh, snow!" Maybe someone appreciates the snow.

"I know right? Great stuff!" He picked himself up with a plan. His plan was to get the bunny off of him. "Wheeee!" He flung himself at the ground, landing on the ground, face first. The bunny was off him and instead in the snow. Fluttercrab rushed to his aid, as though he needed some.

"Oh no! What are you doing? You'll get a nasty cold, mister." She tried pulling him away from his snow.

"No, mommy! I wanna play in the snow!" Then the strangest thing happened. Fluttershy dropped him into the snow. Normally, Travian was supposed to give up this quickly. Was it possible she was getting tired of him? Maybe he would-

"Oh my gosh! This poor little bunny is freezing over here... Longshot, can you please get up and help me make sure she doesn't get a cold." Oh no! Travian would have to run a census on everything with a cold. He didn't want to get up, though. Even if it was for Mayella.

"But I just got reunited with an old friend." Flutterein was already away. Eventually, he pulled himself away from his friend. Then he started prancing around in the stuff, having fun the entire time. It was great having snow around. He recalled during his time here that the pegasus class ponies can apparently manipulate weather, though he hasn't seen Fluttershy do anything like that. The unnamed one spoke of it as though it were a job she did, though. He decided to would be beneficial to use this to his advantage. Knowing her, she would be around, spying on him. 'She needs to get out of that habit.'

His plan of having fun was ruined. Nobody expects the Pegasus Inquisition, not even Travian. "What are you doing? You know you're gonna get sick, right?"

"I don't care!" He stopped himself from jumping again, and turned to the cyan flyer. "Wait. Don't you control the weather or something?" She nodded suspiciously. He ran over and hugged her. "I luff chu!" He then pulled away to go jump into the snow more. It was really fun, after all. Cold, but that's how he liked it.

"Um... I gotta go talk to my laundry!" She bolted away. Sometimes she was cute, and he had to admit it when she was... She was mostly terrible and completely stupid and moronic and could never be liked by anyone because of how brash and bold she was. Obviously. Having irrational hatreds and fears really helped Travian go to sleep, so he had to make sure they were well stocked. After all, he devoted quite a bit of time to nap time.

With the light blue devil away from him, he could put his time into making sure Mayella was actually okay. She was shivering in the snow, with a little bit covering her. That was unhealthy, or so he thought as snow dripped off of him. He went over to her in a moment of clarity and picked her up. He then brushed all the snow off and added a tactical ear scratch into the mix. It blended well, creating a happy Mayella bunny. An adorable sight only to be beheld by him.

Or so he thought as Fluttershy rushed out with some bags attached to her sides. She stopped in the air when she saw him pleasing the little bunny in only the best of ways. "Yes Flutternigh, I have this under control. You can go off now."

She was rather confused at his display. "I didn't know you knew so much about animals..." He really didn't. He didn't know people ran censuses on them! Seriously, who would ever do a bunny census? These ponies were crazy and unbearable sometimes. Also, he didn't know a thing about pleasing animals. He could only please people, and he sure did that to Mayella.

"Meh." It was his best answer. It was neither a yes or a no. It was a simple ambivalent answer. He couldn't just disappoint Fluttershy... Nor could he tell the truth. Telling the truth is against the rules for Travian. Fluttershy then promptly got all up in his business about it. Well actually, it was more like a nervous fly-by. Basically the same thing since he knew Fluttershy pretty well.

"Oh, um, if it's not too much to ask..."

"What do you want from me?" He didn't want to sound mean, but he had to speed this up.

"Well, you see... There's supposed to be a badger census-" He stopped her right there. He will not help with another census. In fact, he wanted a legitimate census, not these animal censuses!

"No." Fluttershy looked disheartened at his answer. While it was a death trap in the long run, he had to make her more sad. For science. "Censuses on animals are completely stupid. Even animals I never heard of."

This woman thought she owned him, apparently, because she kept trying. "But-"

"Unless I'm staring at yours, there will be none. Now excuse me, I am off to make love to this bunny." He said that very quickly, probably faster than she could comprehend. It was worth saying though, as it provided him with an excuse. Mayella looked up at him with her mouth agape. "What? I needed a reason to escape! You know me at this point." No, she really didn't but that didn't stop him. He kept running through the snow, embracing the cold.

At least he was, until a strangeling appeared in his arms with a rather upset expression. "You know, you might not mind this stuff, but I do! Why don't we go inside?"

"Well... If you put it like that..." Why was she still in his arms? "Why are you still in my arms? And can't you walk yourself inside?" That made her see some sense. She got straight out of his arms and then she turned into a bunny. She then tried to retreat to the cottage, but failed due to her getting stuck in the snow. "Fine! I'll go with you." He walked over to pick her up. When he did, he slung her over his shoulder. "But I'm leaving you home, missy. You're getting in to too much trouble!"

With the strangeling taken care of, it was now his job to go and visit Ponyville in the snow time. It was probably a pretty sight and would probably give him horrific memories. It would be so worth it. As to why it was his job, he was getting paid for it. Paid in the greatest of things... Memories. Taking trips down memory lane was among the most hard things to do for Travian, and now he could cross that off his list of things to do before he died. The list was getting quite small, however...

With that thought in mind, he continued on to Ponyville. When he got into the view of it, he saw something utterly beautiful for him. He couldn't resist saying wow, which was an accomplishment. He had a dysfunctional set of waterworks in his head, so he couldn't actually cry at this sight, despite all of his protests against this. He continued into the town, hoping to find the blue menace to question where his hood was. She obviously stole it.

When he entered the town, he received all the looks. All the women and all the men were keeping their eyes on him as he entered the club. He was, after all, the most sexy thing ever. 'Oh wait, a few are running.' The streets started becoming abandoned wherever he went. He found the book tree of the town and started towards the door because of something telling him what he wanted was in there. He learned to follow his instincts on things like this.

He opened the door near silently and he heard what was going on inside the library. "- Rainbow, I'm telling you that your wings can only handle so much! Nopony can possibly go that fast."

"Well obviously, you have never seen me fly!" Travian thrust the door open. It was time. The death of this mare was to come if she couldn't give him back what he wanted.

"WHERE IS IT!?" His voice was probably heard by all their neighbors, but he could care less. The unmentionable one was terrified by the power of his voice. Twilight was also scared out of her wits. "Oh wait, hold on," he said as he turned around and slammed the door shut. When he turned around he continued shouting while pointing at the blue one. "WHERE IS MY HOOD, YOU THIEF?!"

The thief he called out was now against the wall. "I-I-I don-don't know!" Travian took a few steps towards her, rather upset. He didn't have any weapons, but his claws were probably sharp enough to at least hurt her. They were probably blunted, though... "Please don't hurt me!" He continued on his path.

Or that was until a faint purple glow surrounded him. It was stopping him minorly, making him have to stomp down in order to step. "I can't stop him, Rainbow! He's... Too... Strong!" Travian then considered a tactic. He stopped walking and turned to Twilight.

"Wait wait wait hold on here... You think I," he pointed to himself, "am going to hurt that?" he asked as he pointed to the blue thief. "What are you, stupid? I can't just go around hurting people I trust and people I consider friendly towards me. That would be bad and give me a horrid reputation. I have no reason to hurt her." He was going to have a few capitalized words with her.

"Oh... Well... I guess that makes sense." The purple glow disappeared. Travian proceeded over to the flying pony.

"NOW. WHERE. IS. IT."

"I told you I don't know!" Then he heard a different voice behind him.

"Oh I have it! Silly Shotty, you should have asked me!" He turned his head around to find Pinkie Pie appearing from behind a book case. She just called him shotty and appeared from nowhere. This was... Strange.

"Can I have it?" She reached in a book case and out came a brown hood he was familiar with. She passed it over to him. Why she would store it in a book case and how her hoof was small enough to reach inside a filled bookcase and how she even grasped things he would never want to know. "Tanks." He placed the hood where it should have been; on his head. It was good to have that little episode done. He walked out of the library and back into the forbidding cold outside. He attracted quite an audience to the library, which he scared away just by walking outside.
