A mysterious phantom thief dressed like a butterfly flies down in the night, pulling off impossible heists where the only evidence left behind is her butterfly adorned calling card. The Butterfly Bandit, after a three year hiatus, has once again returned to Equestria, and the great detective Emerald Loupe, in a joint investigation with the Royal Guard is hot on her trail. By strange coincidence, Fluttershy seems to be suddenly coming into large amounts of money, which she gleefully spends on the object of her affections, Rainbow Dash.

Can the Butterfly Bandit evade arrest? Can Fluttershy steal Rainbow Dash's heart? Or will the stress of evading arrest lead her to failure?
