As Red slept he began to struggle as if he was trying to get away from something. The dream he was having turned in to a nightmare. Black clouds hung above, cold winds blew and rain fell heavily. He was running from something, it was a colossal black shadow. As he ran from it, it got bigger and closer to him. He couldn’t keep running. He began to slow down due to exaction. And that was it, the shadow caught up to him and trampled him. Red woke up screaming. When he sat up angle fell of the sofa and landed face first on  the wood floor.

“RED!” Flutter shy yelled from upstairs. She came racing down stairs in a panic.

“Are you okay, what happened?” she asked franticly. Red stared at her with fear and sadness on his face. He then looked away and shook his head.

       “…I’m…fine” He said quietly.

“Are you sure?” Flutter shy asked again. Red looked at her and nodded his head. Flutter shy sighed with a disappointed relief. As she walked back upstairs Red sat there thinking about his dream wondering what it meant. After Flutter shy disappeared from sight angle jumped back onto the sofa. Red looked at him and smiled as he pet him. He then covered himself and angle with the blanket and went back to sleep. The next morning when red woke up he jumped out of bed and quickly raced out side. He looked up towards the sky expecting to see something, and he did he saw Rainbow dash fly overhead. He smiled and ran in the same direction she was flying in. As he ran the other five came into view, they were sitting on a small hill top talking with each other, laughing and have a good time. As he got closer he could hear some of what they were saying. They were just talking about what happened this week. Red slowed down when he was a few paces away.

“Oh Red what  are you doing out here?” Flutter shy asked. The others looked at him. Red kept his head low as he approached Flutter shy. When he got close enough he whispered something to her.

“What!” She replied. Red with no expression on his face turned around and started running back to the cottage.

“Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no!” Flutter shy said rapidly as she got up and followed him.

“Flutter shy what’s wrong?!” Twilight shouted. She didn’t hear her. She looked at the others with confusion an slight fear. After a few seconds they all got up and followed the other two. After they caught up with them they became even more confused. They were just standing still looking into the Everfree.

“Flutter shy what is it, what’s wrong?” Twilight asked again. Flutter shy looked at her.

“Red said something bad was going to happen.” She replied.

“How would he know that?” Rainbow dash asked.

“I don’t know he just said.” Flutter shy answered back. They all looked at Red with confused expressions on their faces. He didn’t notice he just stood there with a light expression of anger on his face. He didn’t want to brake his line of sight with the forest’s entrance. The other did the same they stared off into the dark forest waiting.

“…um…Nothing’s happening.” Rainbow dash said out loud. After she finished speaking a brown rabbit came racing out of the forest. Flutter shy gasped with worry and started moving towards it. The rabbit turned its head back to see if whatever it was that was chasing it was still there, and as it did that it tripped. It turned its head back and noticed Flutter shy slowly approaching it. It got back up and raced towards her. She stood still and it climbed on her back. She looked at it with confusion then looked back at the forest entrance. Seconds later it started. Glowing yellow eyes appeared out of the darkness. After Red saw them, he became scared. He slowly walked up to Flutter shy and hid behind one of her front legs. She didn’t notice, she just kept looking into the forest. She and her friends all knew what those beasts were. And before any of them could react the eyes leaped out of the shadows and reveled themselves to be almost a dozen timber wolfs. Flutter shy was paralyzed with fear at the sight of the wooden beats. The others slowly backed away hoping not to be attacked.

“Flutter shy move.” Twilight said quietly. But she couldn’t she was too scared. As the timber wolfs got ready to pounce one of them was hit by a rock. Red turned around and saw Rainbow dash floating above the ground ready to throw another one. When he turned back around he saw the wolf shaking off the pain. That’s when Flutter shy came to her senses. She started to back away from the beasts. When she moved Red was too distracted to follow her so he was left in the open. The timber wolf stopped shaking its head and noticed him. Red thought it was going to attack him but instead it yelped and ran back into the Everfree. Red became confused instead of scared, he turned around to see if the others were what intimidated it but they were just as confused as he was. He would have looked back at the beasts but one of them wet over and started sniffing him. He froze solid with fear. But he had no reason, it did the same thing as the other one, it ran back into the Everfree. The rest of the timber wolfs followed it. Red turned around and saw that they were gone.

“…So…what just happened exactly?” Rainbow dash asked. But no pony knew. The rabbit that was on Flutter shy’s back ran off after everything ended. When it was gone the 6 went back to what they were doing and Red went back to the cottage and laid down on a patch of grass near the side of the building. They all slowly forgot about the day and what happened during it. An hour later Flutter shy returned to her cottage and noticed Red. She walked over to him and gently nudged him trying to wake him up.

“Red… Wakey wakey.” She said softly. Red woke up with a loud yawn.

“Red can I ask you something?” Flutter shy asked. Red nodded his head.

“How did you know about those timber wolfs?” She asked.

“They were in my dream.” He replied.

       “What?”

“Yah…When I went back to sleep I had this dream that they would appear.”

“…oh.” Flutter shy replied quietly. Red stood up and stretched out his leg, and rubbed his eyes afterwards. Red was tired because of what happened earlier the night before. He could still remember the beast. It’s menacing red eyes and it’s evil thoughts. He could even hear them. He could hear the voices telling him to do things that he doesn’t want to do.

“Red.” Flutter shy said softly. Red shook his head. Attempting to get out of the trance he was trapped in. When he got free he looked up at Flutter shy and smiled, and she smiled back. As the two walked back inside, Red paused thinking that he heard something. When he looked around all he saw was a few animals. He shrugged his shoulders and continued walking.

       “Something wrong?” Flutter shy asked.

“I thought I heard some pony.” Red replied.

       “Really? Did they say anything?”

“…Sweet dreams my black prince…” After she heard those words a chill was sent down her spine, and she became more eager to get back inside. As she pushed Red inside she quickly closed and locked the door behind her thinking something was going to happen. After she thought she was safe she sighed with relief.

“Ms. Flutter shy…” Red said quietly. She turned around to look at him.

“…I’m scared…” He continued. She faintly smiled.

“Don’t worry.” She said as she walked over to him.

“It’s alright to be scared…My friends taught me that.” She continued as she held him close to her.
