Glitter Sparkle: Full Origin Story

The guards continued to fly the carriage back the the castle. Glitter was wrapped in the wool blanket and sleeping in his brother's lap. Ruby kept staring down at his sleeping brother, smiling. However, Glitter started to squirm in his sleep. Ruby knew what was happening and gave Glitter's cheek a lick. Glitter calmed down, snuggled into Ruby's orange coat, and resumed his nap. Ruby started to pet Glitter's mane.

"I can't wait for you to grow up", he said to Glitter, "Then you'll see how good of a brother I am" Celestia chuckled lightly.

"Somepony really loves his brother", she said, "That's cute" Ruby rolled his eyes.

"You think everything is cute, Mom".

"I can't help it, Ruby". She chuckled again.

"Yeah, yeah". The carriage came to a stop. Celestia and Ruby looked out the window, seeing the castle. The two stepped out of the carriage. Ruby carefully levitated Glitter onto his back, trying not to startle him. "Thanks for the ride", he said to the guards. The guards saluted as the alicorns went into the castle.

"OK", Celestia said, "I have to go to Day Court. Can you please put a diaper on your brother and put him in the crib?"

"Sure", Ruby said, "I was about to go up to my bedchamber anyway". Celestia smiled and went into the courtroom to start Day Court. Ruby looked back at his brother, who was still sleeping peacefully with a half-smile. Ruby lightly nuzzled Glitter's cheek and walked him up to his bedchamber. He opened the door, walked in, and lightly closed the door. He walked over to his bed, carefully laid Glitter down on the bed, went into the closet, and got a thick, blue diaper and some changing supplies. After putting some rash cream, foal powder, and the diaper on Glitter, he slowly levitated Glitter to the crib, trying not to wake him. He laid him down and tucked him in with the blanket. Ruby smiled. Glitter was so relaxed and care-free. He couldn't wait for him to wake up. But for now, he walked over to his "game chair" and continued to play his game, this time with the sound muted and the brightness turned down to be safe.

7:00 PM

Ruby was napping in his game chair when he heard Glitter crying. He immediately got up and went over to the crib. He picked up the crying foal.

"What's wrong, little bro?" Then, he felt a bulge on Glitter's diaper and a foul odor that he was very familiar with passed his muzzle. "Oh, I see. Somepony needs their diaper changed" He laid Glitter on the bed, changed his full diaper, and levitated it into the trash can by his bed. Glitter stopped crying after getting changed. "There we go. Who my clean little brother?" He started to blow raspberries on Glitter's stomach, making Glitter giggle and scream loudly. After his little attack, Ruby heard somepony approaching the bechamber. Celestia walked in.

"Is everything OK?", she said, "I heard Glitter crying".

"He's OK. He just needed his diaper changed".

"OK. Just making sure. Anyway. while you were sleeping, I received a letter from Luna and Cadence. They said they were on their way back from Manehattan and were coming to see Glitter".

"About time. They have been their for nearly a week".

"I told you, Ruby. They were there on royal business".

"Yeah, yeah". He looked back down at Glitter. "Does Glitter want to see his auntie and older cousin?" Glitter made a face(kinda like the same face Pound Cake makes when he thinks something isn't funny) and tilted his head to the side. "Don't worry. You'll see them in a few minutes". Glitter smiled. At that point, they heard the Royal Trumpets and Celestia and Ruby looked out the window, seeing Luna's Royal Carriage in plain sight flying toward the window. Celestia opened the window and Luna and Cadence flew in. (Cadence is a filly right now and is the same size as Scootaloo)

"Hey, Big Sister", Luna said to Celestia, nuzzling her.

"Hey, Auntie Celestia", Cadence said, hugging Celestia's leg.

"Hello Luna, Cadence", Celestia said. Cadence leg go of Celestia's leg. "Your second nephew and younger cousin is waiting to see you". Both alicorns nodded. Celestia pointed at Ruby and the two alicorns walked over to him. Ruby showed Glitter to his aunt and then his younger cousin.

"He is so adorable", they both said at the same time. Cadence began to pet Glitter's mane, making Glitter smile.

"Can you say Cadence?", she said. However, all she got was a babbling noise.

"He was just born about two hours ago, Cadence", Ruby said.

"Oh, right" Ruby chuckled lightly.

"I love you", Luna said, kissing Glitter's muzzle and making him squeal in joy. Luna then looked sad. If only Mother and Father could see you, and me. Celestia read Luna's thoughts.

Luna. Please don't bring that up. You'll end up making yourself sad. Luna shook her head and then nodded at Celestia.

Later that night...

Cadence and Luna were attending Night Court, while Celestia, Luna, and Glitter were in Ruby's bedchamber. At this point, Glitter was ready for his first feeding. Celestia sat on Ruby's bed while Ruby sat in his game chair and played his video game.

"Umm... Ruby...", Celestia said. Ruby paused his game and looked back at Celestia.

"Yes?"

"I need to feed Glitter. Do you mind?"

"Not at all. I won't look".He grabbed his headset, plugged it it, put it on, and resumed playing to drown out any other noises.

Celestia laid down on her back, carefully levitated Glitter onto her stomach, and draped her wing over him to keep him warm and give him privacy. Glitter latched on to one of her teats and began to suckle. As Glitter suckled from his mother, Celestia looked down at him, smiling.

"You are so cute, Glitter", she whispered to him, "Your brother really loves you. I really love you, too. I hope you can grow up faster, so I can assign you to some royal duties. Don't worry. You'll like them". Celestia facehoofed, knowing Glitter wasn't getting anything she was saying.

After about five minutes, Glitter finished and stopped suckling. Celestia sat up, hung Glitter over her shoulder and began to lightly pat his back. Glitter burped loudly, spitting up lightly. Celestia grabbed a foal wipe and wiped the vomit off of her back and Glitter's mouth. She then held Glitter in her hooves and began to cradle and sing "Hush Now, Quiet Now". Her beautiful, angel-like voice and the cradling was so soothing to Glitter. His eyes started to get heavy. He yawned and buried his face in his mother's coat, falling asleep. Ruby turned off his game and put his headset up.

"Time to hit the hay for me", he said.

"Me too", Celestia said, "and for Glitter" She put Glitter in the crib and covered him up. "Goodnight, Glitter" She then walked over to Ruby and kissed his cheek. "And goodnight, Ruby"

"Night, Mom" He nuzzled Celestia and Celestia walked out of the bedchamber. Ruby walked over to the crib and kissed Glitter's muzzle. "Night, little bro". Ruby got into his own bed and fell asleep with a smile on his face.
