Ropes that Bind

      The Ghost, with a crew of two was a quick ship. Though as big as it was nopony could see any smaller ships. At least until they heard the bashing sound of breaking wood and screams were heard underneath them.

   " Ropes I think we might have hit something", Blade said. He quickly turned The Ghost to the side as Ropes pulled the sails in to no longer catch the wind. Bashed and damaged was a smaller ship with at least 20 men on-board but the Captain was no where to be found. Ropes, seeing that he could use a crew was quick to offer a trip aboard his ship.

    " Oh, so you bash into my ship and expect to just take my crew along too?". Turning to face the voice, Ropes was caught by what he found. A mare, who was nearly the same height as Ropes, was standing a few feet from him. Ropes looked at her, catching that she was the Captain, and moved to say something.

   Only talking wasn't what this mare wanted, as she gave him a generous helping of hoof in the face, knocking him back on the side railing. Quickly recovering, Ropes parried under the next blow and punched the mare in the gut. Taking the opportunity to strike again, Ropes slid her hoofs from underneath her and pinned her to the ground.

   " That wasn't nice lass, how about you give me a reason NOT to kill you", Ropes spat as he withdrew his swords.

   " Listen to me, what ever you want with my ship or its contents, there is nothing there for you" the mare whispered.

   " And what exactly makes you think I was boarding you?"

   " Well you did ram us, not exactly friendly actions".

   " Well blame yourself for not getting out of the way, and besides the ships destroyed now".

   " So you going to kill me yet, or do you want some rum while we wait?"

   " Peace is what I want", Ropes said sheathing his swords," and I ask again, do you want passage on this ship or not?"

   The mare got up and thought for a while and spoke, " Sure, why the hell not, name is Cutlass by the way". She held her hoof out and Ropes took it and shook.

  " Ropes, and we are moving to Lunar Island", Ropes said. He motioned towards Blade to call out the destination to the new found crew.

  " FULL SAIL, we are heading to Lunar Island lads", Blade shouted for all to hear. The crew quickly let the sails loose and caught the wind with a lurch forward.

  " What business do you have there, are you Lunar Navy?" Cutlass asked.

  " Nay, we need to find something that Luna might know about, some gemstones called the Elements of Harmony", Ropes pulled out the red stone he wore. Cutlass looked with envy and wanting eyes.

   " It is quite a pretty stone, but what is so special about it?", she asked.

  " That is what we wish to find out from Luna, apparently she used it before and knows of the others location"

  " I see, well I am going to prepare for trouble if it finds us, call me up when we arrive". Cutlass walked off, leaving Ropes to himself. Ropes thought for a while about what would he do with the stones when he had them all, who would he stop or sell them to. He looked up to see the island in question. Lunar Island.
