Chapter 5: Memories Of The Past

"What!?" said Nightmare Moon.

"Why would we go there?"  Nightmare Moon asked

"If we are going to defeat Celestia, then we will need some dark magic." said Discord with an evil smile.

"How are we going to get-" Nightmare Moon then cut herself off.

"No no no no! We are not going to bring back King Sombra!" said Nightmare Moon, sounding very worried.

"That's not what I meant. King Sombra has a secret room that is filled with dark magic. We will need to get ten dark red crystals if the plan is going to work."

"How do you know of this room?" Nightmare Moon asked.

"We all have are secret Nightmare, now is everypony ready!" said Discord

"Ready for wha-" Grievous was interrupted by bright white flash. As soon as he could see again, he was no longer in the castle. They were in some sort of blizzard.

"WHERE THE HELL ARE WE?!" shouted Grievous. The wind was so hard on them, that they could barely hear each other.

"THIS IS AS CLOSE AS I COULD GET US." shouted back Discord. Discord now had a big fluffy blue coat with a hood. He also had a candle lite lamp in his bird like hand. Nightmare Moon and Grievous followed Discord through the freezing blizzard. Then they got to a some sort of pink shelled barrier.

"I GOT THIS!" said Nightmare Moon, about to the blow a hole the in the shelled barrier.

"NO! WE CAN'T JUST BLAST A HOLE IN IT!" said Discord while stopping her.

"GOT IT!" Discord and Nightmare Moon looked over to Grievous and saw that he cut a big hole in the shelled barrier.

"GOOD WORK!" said Discord. They went through the hole before the shelled barrier began to heal itself. Grievous took a deep breath of the fresh like summer air. Discord and Nightmare Moon shuck the snow off.

"Here's the plan, Nightmare Moon, go take out the guards on the outer walls and in the air, I will go make some chaos, and... General Grievous... go do what you do best!" after Discord said that, they began their attack.

Princess Cadence was in the throne room reading some letters. But then she heard a familiar voice.

"Hello my love." she instantly levitated the letters onto the little desk on the side of the throne. She looked over to where the sweet voice came from.

"Shining." she said most excitedly.

"I got you something." Shining Armor then showed her a bundle of pink crystal flowers. He levitated the flowers to her. She grabbed them with her magic.

"Awwwww. Thank Shining-" her eyes widened and  her ears perked up. She dropped the flowers and they shattered as they hit the floor.

"Cadence! are you all right?" asked Shining Armor while running over to her.

"Something wrong... Something very wrong!" Princess Cadence ran over to the balcony to see total chaos! The sky was dark, there where pink clouds that had chocolate rain poring out of it. House where flouting upside down and ponies where screaming and running everywhere. Everything was in total chaos. Shining Armor ran over to her too see the horrific site.

"Princess Cadence and Shining Armor! We are under attack!" said a Crystal Guard.

"Send all royal guards to protected the the castle."

"Yes sir!" said the Crystal Guard while running to give the orders.

"It's going to be ok Cadence." said Shining Armor. Cadence was breathing very deep, trying to calm down herself.

"We can't let them take the Empire." Cadence said very firmly.

"I know." replied Shining Armor.

"We have to send a letter to Celestia." said Cadence. Then a Crystal Guard came flying out of the door. He fell to the floor with a hole in the chest and blood gushing out of his mouth.

"WHO'S NEXT!"

General Grievous came to a big door. The door was made out of thick wood and iron bars. The iron bars where going up, down, and across. Grievous stabbed all of his lightsabers into the armored door and began to cut a circle. As soon as the circle was complete, he kicked it and made his way though the hole in the door.

As he made his way down a hall and found 6 Crystal Guards. The 6 Crystal Guards charged at him. Grievous just cut them down and walked bast the blood and guts that he painted of the walls and floor. Grievous just gutted and sliced anything that stood in his way. He also used terror to scare ponies off, but he gave no mercy. No mercy to anything or anypony.

He soon came to a lone guard on his knees, begging for his life. Grievous then grabbed the stallion at his neck and stabbed the lightsabers into his chest. He watched as the blood gushed out of the stallion's mouth. Grievous watched as the ponies slowly died right in front of him. He saw pure terror and pain in his eyes, Grievous liked it. No he din't just liked it, he loved it. And when the guard finely died, Grievous threw the life-less stallion in to a big door. The door opened, he saw two ponies with horror in their eyes.

"WHO'S NEXT!" shouted Grievous, covered in spots blood. Almost every inch of him was covered in his victims blood. The white stallion jumped in front of the pink mare and lit his horn.

"You!" shouted Shining Armor as he shot a big blast magic. Grievous stood there and deflected the blast with his lightsaber. The blast of magic went strait back to Shining Armor and blasted him into the wall by his own magic. Grievous turned his attention to the pink alicorn. She ran over to the white unicorn.

"Shining! Wake up Shining! Shining please!" she said with tears in her eyes.

"Pathetic. I expect more of a fight-" Grievous was then stoked by lightning and flue a few feet in the air. He landed on his feet.

"RRRRRAAAAAAAA!" screamed Princess Cadence in pear anger. Her eye were glowing white. She had lightning coming out of her horn. Then they disappeared in a white flash. Then Nightmare Moon and Discord came in a white flash.

"What happened to you? Your covered in-" Nightmare Moon was interrupted by Grievous saying.

"I did what I do best." Nightmare Moon drooped her jaw and had a look of shock.

"But two of them escaped. *Coughing*" said Grievous.

"Who?" asked Discord. Nightmare Moon still speechless and was staring at Grievous, more or less at the blood.

"A pink alicorn and a white unicorn." said Grievous while putting his light sabers away in his cape .

"Hhhhhmmmm." hummed Discord.

"We have no time! We must find where the crystals are! Discord, where are they." asked Nightmare Moon, snapping out of her shock and looking at Discord with panicked eyes.

"I spy with my eyes." said Discord as he took out his eyes and began to juggle them.

"Something...PURPLE!" said Discord. He then put his eyes back into his eye sockets.

"Is he serious?" asked Grievous.

"He is." replied Nightmare Moon.

"Well who wants to go first!?" asked Discord. Nightmare Moon was about to say something, but was interrupted by Grievous.

"NO! I am not going to play your little game. If Nightmare Moon is right, then we have no time to lose. We have to find these crystals now. No time for your pathetic games." Discord was taken back by this.

"Find then. Nightmare Moon, use your dark magic on the big crystal on the throne." said Discord, pointed to the big pink crystals on the top of the throne. Nightmare Moon then lit her horn. Her eyes and horn glowed green, black, and purple. The crystals then turned black and then revealed a stairway underneath the floor.

"This way." said Discord. Nightmare Moon and Grievous followed Discord down the stairs.

"You know you got to lighten up General Grievous. It's not healthy you know." said Discord with a chuckle at the end. Grievous just growled at him. Discord sighed at this and said.

"Here we are." they where at the bottom of the stairs. There was a door, Grievous was about to open it, but was stopped by Discord.

"You do not want to do that." said Discord.

"Why would I not want to open a door?" asked Grievous.

"Because that door leads to you greatest fears. And also that's not the way. Yet." said Discord. Grievous at the looked door, then back at him.

"Then were is the way?" said Grievous, still looking around the room. Discord then snapped his fingers and a red horn appeared in his hand.

"No no no no no NO! You said that you where not going to bring back Sombra!" said Nightmare Moon. Discord gave a evil smile and then stabbed the red horn into the black crystal on top of the door. The door became a glowing green, black, and purple portal.

"Ladies first." said Discord with an even more evil smile then before.

"What- " Nightmare Moon then got shoved into the dark portal.

"If your still alive say I'm ok." said Discord while putting his head inches away from the portal. a few secants latter, Discord got a hoof punched into his face. He fell back words and landed on his butt.

"HOW DARE YOU TRY TO HARM US!" said Nightmare Moon with her eyes glowing white with anger. Discord just laugh as heard as he could of the stone floor. She walked over to Discord and began to levitate him off of the ground. Discord was still laughing like a child. Nightmare Moon then threw him into the portal and looked over to General Grievous.

"You have no idea what I had to deal with this last week." said Nightmare Moon, now calming down.

"If I had to deal with him for a week, *Cough* I would had killed him before the first day ended. *Coughing*" said Grievous.

"Hahaha!" laugh Nightmare Moon. But she soon realized that this was not a joke.

"Oh... Never mind." said Nightmare Moon, blushing a little.

"We better catch up with Discord now." said Nightmare Moon as she trotted over to the portal. She enter the green, black, and purple portal. but then General Grievous said something that stopped her in his tracks.

"Why is Discord the leader?" Nightmare Moon turned around and looked at him.

"Well uh..." Nightmare Moon began to trail off. Grievous was about to say something, but was interrupted by Nightmare Moon saying.

"He is a god."

"God? Like immortal?" asked Grievous

"He is the god of chaos and gods are immortal." said Nightmare Moon

"Nothing is immortal. *Cough* Everything dies." said Grievous. Then Discord popped his head out of the portal and said.

"Well come on, we don't have all day to chit-chat." Nightmare Moon and Grievous nodded to each other and made there way into the portal. Nightmare Moon was the first one to go in, then Grievous. When he entered the portal, he felt a strange flow through his body. But before he could do anything, he was on the other side of the portal. Grievous, Nightmare Moon and Discord where now in a cave like room. The room had all sizes of stalactites from the ceiling and a few stalagmite on the sides of the walls of the dark black, cave. The cave walls and floor was as smooth tile. There where little puddles of water being made by the little drops of water from the stalactites.

Discord had his lantern lit and was walking through the darkness, Nightmare Moon and Grievous followed him through the darkness. Nightmare Moon's horn give out a light blue glow so she could see where she was trotting. General Grievous had one of his lightsabers turned on in his right hand. The lightsaber's light green glow didn't reach to the edges of the room like Discord's lantern. Grievous could only see five in-front of him with his lightsaber.

Grievous had a weird feeling. He had this feeling when he was finished his training with Count Dooku. When he finished, he then pledged his allegiance to the The Dark Lord himself.

"I pledged my allegiance to you and only you my lord." said Grievous. He was on his right knee and keeping his head low.

"Good...But..." said The Dark Lord, getting out of his chair.

"What, my lord." asked Grievous.

"I need to know that you say... The truth." said The Dark Lord walking over to Grievous's left.

"My lord, what most I do to prove to you that I am your loyal servant?" said Grievous.

"Would you betray me?" asked The Dark Lord, taking deep breaths.

"I would never betray you, my lord.*Coughing*" said Grievous.

"Would you ever help are enemies?" asked The Dark Lord walking over to Grievous's right.

"Never, my lord." said Grievous.

"Would you ever allegiance your self with someone?" asked The Dark Lord, now standing right in front of the cyborg.

"You are the only allegiance that I have and will ever have, my lord." said Grievous.

"Good." said The Dark Lord, now sitting back on his throne. General Grievous's memories where interrupted when they came to a big door.
