Trip To The Park {Part 2}

"How are we going to make sure the ponies don't get hurt?" Jarrett asked, obviously worried about the butterscotch pony on his back.

"We could leave them here?" Colin suggested.

"It wouldn't be safe for them to be alone in the open," Said Jarrett. Colin looked at Jarrett for a second before noticing a small store over his sholder. It was a cafe, there were no windows, and only one door. It would be easy to clear out any zombies inside, and then it would be safe for them to stay there while my friends, and I kill all of the common infected.

Colin pointed past Jarrett, and we all looked at where he was pointing to. I knew what he ment.

"Good idea, c'mon follow me!" I ordered. We all walked up to the cafe, and then Colin kicked the door open.

The entire store was only one room with a few tables, and a counter with a cash register on it.  The floor was stained with blood, and a single dead body was slumped against the wall across from us.

Colin aimed his assault rifle, and shot the body three times in the head. Which, on the third shot, exploded into tiny pieces. The ponies all had widend eyes, and Fluttershy burried her head in her hooves.

"I would've thought they'd be used to it by now..." Colin said to me.

"They won't ever. Trust me" I stated, looking at Rainbow Dash.

"Why'd you shoot him anyway?" Jarrett asked, as he checked behind the counter for any lying down infected.

"I've played too much Dead Island to trust dead bodies in a zombie game!" Colin answered. I nodded, and so did Jarrett. The pony gang got comfortable in several cafe chairs, and looked at us. I was about to walk out of the door when I heard Twilight Sparkle ask me a question.

"How old are you guys?" She asked, using magic to hold up a pencil, and a notebook.

"I'm 15, Nolan is too, and Jarrett's 14" Colin answered for all of us.

"Why does Nolan have an accent, but you two don't?" Twilight asked as she jotted down our ages.

"Because I'm German, and these two are American," I answered, and before she could ask another question, I walked out of the cafe. I was followed by Jarrett, and then Colin.

I loaded the Sub-Machine Gun I had, and turned my head to my colleages.

"You guys ready for this?" I asked.

"Let's do this!" Colin, and Jarrett said at the same time. The crowd of zombies had not seen us yet, so we had the element of suprise when we started firing our guns. Infected sprinted at us from alleyways, rooftops, and from inside buildings.

I gunned down two infected, and turned to see Jarrett shooting his auto-shotgun, and Colin burst-firing his rifle. I noticed something on the roof above Colin. It took me about a second to figure out it was a smoker. Before I could warn Colin, I was hit from behind.

I quickly turned around, and took care of two infected. One of which had only one arm by the time I was done with it. The sound of a smoker grabbing someone, and Colin yelling "Get the hell off of me!" was all I needed to turn around again, and shoot about fifteen rounds into the special infected. It released a large amount of smoke once I killed it, and it let go of Colin.

He thanked me, and continued to kill infected. Soon we heard a loud roar. Jarrett was the first one to realize what it was.

"Oh great, a tank's coming!" He warned.

"I hope it's the same one from earlier, I wanna play jump-rope with it's intestines..." Colin said, full of anger, and insanity.

"....."

I fired mag, after mag into the incoming tank.

"Kill the son of a bitch!" Jarrett shouted, starting to panic. The tank was closing in, and fast. The tank pushed a car out of the way, and trampled a few zombies. We were focused on the tank, if an infected would get too close we would kill it, but we were focused on the tank.  The tank was about ten feet from us when it was side-swipped by...

"IS THAT JIMMY GIBBS' RACE CAR!?" Colin asked. Yes it was, this was the very same car used by the four survivers in the game to escape "The Passing" and "Dead Center"

The tank went stumbling across the street, but then was put down by a grenade launcher shot. The shooter was aiming from the passanger window.

"Hey, Y'all alright?" None other than Ellis asked, as he jumped out of the drivers seat. Nick got out of the passangers seat, while Rochelle, and Coach got out of the back seat.

"Yeah, we're fine, I guess." Jarrett said, reloading his shotgun. Colin walked over to the tank, nealed infront of it and whispered.

"I'm going to find your family, and EAT THEIR LIMBS!"

"Is he sane?" Rochelle asked, looking at Colin.

"Yeah, his name's Colin, he's just.... mad at that particular tank... Anyway, my name's Jarrett"

"My name's Rochelle, and this is Ellis," Rochelle said.

"Hi," Ellis said, he sounded happy that there were more survivers.

"I'm Nick..." he said, gripping onto the grenade launcher he killed the tank with.

"Nice to meet you Nick, I'm Nolan,"

After we talked for a bit, learned each others ages, and stuff like that.

"So you guys wanna join forces, and kill them sons of bitches together? We were just heading to the carnival evac" Ellis asked.

"Sure, but we got a few more survivers waiting for us in the cafe down the street," Jarrett said, pointing to the cafe.

"They can come!" Said Coach. We all started walking down the road to the cafe, shooting a few infected here, and there.

"Now I gotta warn you the others are.... Different..." I warned. Thinking to how this'll turn out, when they first see the ponies.

"What y'all mean?" Ellis asked, a confused look on his face.

"You'll see" Colin said, grinning.

After a few more questions, we arrived at the cafe.

"Okay, just don't freak out...." I said as I opened the door.

"What? I don't see what you're talking about, there's nothing in there!" Nick said, examining the interior of the cafe.

"WHAT!?"
