Ponies, and gamers

Trip To The Park [part 3]

Previous Chapter

"Oh fuck! Where are they?" Jarrett panicked, looking around the cafe. I turned to the main characters from the game and started explaining.

"Listen, us three and the people who are missing aren't really from this world. You may not believe me now, but when you see the others, you'll know that they're not from here."  I said, turning back around afterwards to start searching the cafe.

"Wait.. Watchu mean by that?" Ellis asked with a confused voice.

"We're not from here, when we find the others... Well Nolan already explained, you'll see." Jarrett said, as he watched Colin go into the kitchen.

The characters from the game sat  down in the chairs around the Cafe, and started to talk among themselves. I was more focused on finding the ponies, that I only caught one sentence.

"They're obviously insane, we should leave." Rochelle said, in a hushed voice. I knew they didn't trust us, but when they saw the ponies, they'd believe us.

"Hey guys!" Colin yelled, "Come here!" Jarrett and I ran into the kitchen. The kitchen was rather smelly. It was half covered with several year old food, and the rest was blood. Colin was leaning up against the wall, with his ear pressed up to it.

"What is it?!" I asked, loudly. Colin quickly shushed me, panicked.

"Don't you hear that?" Colin asked. Jarrett and I were silent, and listened for about five seconds.

"Sooo... What are we supposed to be hearing?" Jarrett asked.

"There's a witch somewhere. Hear the crying? I think it's in the back alley, cause it gets pretty loud when I press my ear up here." Colin went back to the wall, and started listening again.

I looked over to Jarrett to see what his reaction was to there being a witch so close to us. The reason why I wanted to see his reaction was that in the game Left 4 Dead, and Left 4 Dead 2, Jarrett always alerted the witch, on accident, of course. Even if he was no where near a witch, and one of the other players was actually the reason the witch was alerted, she would always go after Jarrett.

Jarrett was wide eyed. He was just standing there, staring. I chuckled. "Scared the witch is going to attack you for no reason, huh?" I asked, smiling, looking back on it, I should have probably been more worried about the ponies, and not joking around, but honestly, I didn't really care for them, as far as I knew, they were probably a figment of my imagination.

Jarrett blinked and turned to me. "No, don't you get it? The girls probably heard the crying, and thought it was a real person! They're probably in the back alley right now! Dude, we HAVE to go out there!" Jarrett said.

Colin turned, and cocked his assault rifle, "Well then... Let's go fuck up that witch." He said.

"We're probably going to die." I said.

"Yeah, probably." Colin agreed. We ran out the kitchen, and out of the cafe. We turned the corner to the alley, and then turned the other corner to see the back alley.

"Oh fuck." I said, quietly. The ponies were grouped around a green door, Fluttershy was talking through the door.

"Hello? It's Okay, we can help you... Um... Please stop crying..." She said. The witch was obviously right on the other side of the door.

"Maybe we should just force the door open, I could kick it." Applejack said loudly. The witch reacted to the loud talking and growled loudly. I could tell the longer that the ponies were standing there, the more fucking pissed the witch was getting.

"What the fuck should -"  I was in the middle of saying before Colin started shouting.

"FUCKING RUN! GET THE FUCK OUTTA DERE!" He shouted, shooting several assault rifle shots through the door, most likely hitting the witch. This caused two things to happen at the same time.

1: The ponies turned around, and started to run away from the door.

2: The witch, now pissed because we shot at her, busted through the door, and started to run at Colin.

We all open fired at the witch, as the ponies ran passed us, and re-entered the cafe. The witch screamed, and pushed Colin onto his back. She was standing over him, about to kill him, when she saw Jarrett out of the corner of her eye. She turned to Jarrett, and stared at him.

"THIS IS BULLSHIT!" Jarrett yelled, taking off, the witch ran passed me, bumping shoulders with me. Colin quickly got back up, and started firing at the witch. I also started shooting. Jarrett turned around, and started shooting his Auto shotgun at the witch, and after about three shots, she went down. "Dude... Witches are fucking scary!" Jarrett said, breathing heavily.

We all settled down and walked back in the cafe. The ponies were all sitting down, talking, as soon as we walked in, they stopped and looked at us.

"What was that all about?!" Twilight asked, a mad look on her face. "We were trying to help the poor thing!"

"It's not a 'poor thing', it's a monster." Colin said. Reloading his gun.

"Then why was it crying? It was in pain." Fluttershy said quietly, looking at Colin.

"It's not actually crying, it does that to lure in unsuspecting survivors, and murder them." I said, sitting down at one of the cafe tables. All of the ponies looked at each other, realizing that they were really close to being slaughtered by the witch.

"Listen... It's dangerous out there, and you guys need to stick close to us, no matter what." Jarrett said, very fatherly.

"That was really sudden warning, though... Probably could have gone without it." Rarity said, talking about Colin shouting in the back alley. Colin grinned, and was about to say something when I realized something...

"Wait a minute.... Where are the characters from the game?!" I said looking around the cafe.

"Who's these 'Characters from the game'?" Pinkie Pie asked, it was the first time she had spoken to us directly. "They sound like nice people!" It was good to see that Pinkie was returning to the Pinkie that we had seen when we first met.

We all ran out of the building, and I looked to where Jimmy Gibbs' car had been, I saw it speeding away. Colin, who was sure that the characters would help us, shouted.

"FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK YOOOOOOOOOUUUUUU!" He shouted. His breathing was shaky for the next few seconds.

"Dude, it's okay, we all couldn't fit in the car anyway." Jarrett said.

"We have to get to the evac before them!" Colin said, full of anger. "If we get there before them, and set off the music, just like you do in the game, we can get on the chopper before them."

"Won't that mess up the storyline of the game?" I asked.

"They just screwed us over, so let's screw them over!" Colin said.

"Dude, they're in a car, they can just drive there." Jarrett said to Colin.

"Nah man, you don't remember the beginning of the Dark Carnival campaign in L4D2? They're going to have to stop do to the road being full of cars." I said to Jarrett.

"So you think we have time?" Jarrett asked.

"Totally, If I remember correctly, after they start to go on foot, they don't go straight to the evac, they spend a few hours fighting through a motel, and a tunnel of love. So if we go straight there, instead of going through all of that bullshit, we can probably end up at the finale stage about 20 minutes before they do." I explained.

"Let's go screw over the L4D2 characters." Colin said, as he started jogging down the road. The carnival was visible in the distance. It was about four miles away.

"Ok, GIRLS COME ON, WE'RE LEAVING!" I shouted into the cafe. I then followed Colin, along with Jarrett, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Twilight, and Fluttershy.

"I think we might actually be able to do this!" Jarrett said happily.
