A True Home
prologue
Load Full StoryNext ChapterI was a typical 21 year old guy that watched a little girls television show for little girls called, My Little Pony. It wasn’t really that it was for little girls that I liked it for but because it let me get away from my problems. It was what I that could always brought a smile to my face. Who wouldn’t smile at colors and cute songs about whatever was going on at that moment in time?
I had been studying for my mid-terms, when I felt really lonely. So to combat this I went on line and read some FIMfiction. I was wanted a smile so I read Know Your Mare. A hilarious fic that made fun of everypony on the show. I got a good laugh out of it, but at the bottom of the page where there is usually an advertisement for dating other bronies, there was a questionnaire. I thought it was one of those things were it told you what pony you were most like, so I clicked on it.
It was a survey that asked a series of questions that seemed like an application form. I looked at it and figured I had time to do it before I went to bed.
FULL NAME: Connor Clifford
DO YOU HAVE AN OC: yes
WOULD YOU LIVE IN EQUESTRIA: yes
WHAT WOULD YOUR CUTIE MARK BE: a rain drop
WOULD YOU GIVE UP MEAT: yes
WOULD YOU HURT PONIES: no
PLEAS GIVE A BRIFE REASON AS TO WHY: I would love to live in Equestria because it would let me leave my problems behind. I could have a fresh start with new ponies to befriend, and I could leave my unkind world behind. I could have a life worth living. Plus it be a good laugh.
“There, all done. Now back to my stud…” I stopped mid word. My computer screen was turning into a bright light. I didn’t know what to do so I panicked and leapt from my chair. Slipped and hit my head on my desk. Then I promptly passed out onto the floor.
…
…
I started to wake up, but I felt a throbbing pain in my head. I slowly opened my eyes but was blinded by the sudden increases of light. I blinked back tears and tried to sit up. It felt different when I did so. But I brushed that off for now. When I opened my eyes again I saw that I was In a white endless room with only one other person. I wasn’t in my room so I began to panic. Where was I? What happened? How did I get here? All of those questions were answered when I heard a familiar laugh echo all around me. “Discord?”
I looked around me and saw the other guy was in a similar state that I was in. He seemed to hear the voice as well, so I stopped and waited for something to happen. I guess I got what I wanted because shortly after my thought, Discord flashed in onto a stage outside the group. The other guy turned to look at him as he started to murmur amongst himself.
Discord started with his evil laugh that sounded almost playful. “Now, I bet you two are wondering why I have brought you here. Well that is because I wish to play a game. I shall send you all to another world so that I may have a new form of entertainment. The rules are simple, no pony can find out that your human, you can’t kill anypony, and no meat. Simple.”
My human counterpart spoke up… after he picked his jaw up from the floor. “That doesn’t make any sense!” he shouted.
I couldn’t help it I had to say it. “Whats the fun in making sense?” I asked and burst out laughing. Discord then joined in on my joke, roaring with laughter. After we composed ourselves, after about a minute of laughter, Discord teleported me on stage and greeted me.
“Ah, the wild card of the two I picked. I shall allow you to go first. So, pick your drop zone.” He said with a smile that seemed genuine enough.
“What do you mean?” I asked not really awake yet.
“Were do you want to be sent silly pony?” he asked.
“Oh, ummm… can you send me to the castle throne room? That should make a nice first appearance.” I told him.
“Very well, have a nice trip!” he said to me as a white light enveloped me. I saw a bright flash of light, and then I was gone. When the light was gone I reappeared in a flash of light in the middle of a war zone. It was dark and I could see the sun and moon fighting for dominance over the sky. I could see two ponies battling in the air. There was a white with a flowing rainbow mane, and a black with a blue shadow mane, Celestia and Luna.
If I remembered from the season four premier, the fight was coming to an end. Deep inside I didn’t want Luna to be sent to the moon, she had suffered enough by attacking her own sister. She had been taken by the nightmare.
Either by luck or instinct, I leapt into the air with my wings beating franticly to gain speed. I was flying to save a princess, to save Luna. As I approached I was unnoticed by either of the two alicorns, locked in a magical stalemate. I knew that the Elements of Harmony wouldn’t hurt me, but it didn’t make what I did any easier. As I got closer, I pushed Luna out of the way just before Celestia’s magic hit her. It was a strange feeling being hit with her magic, like being hit by a really hard pillow. It almost tickled.
There was another flash of light, then I saw stars. But these were real stars. Not cartoony ones that you see after being hit on the head. I was on the moon. The cold, dark, lonely moon. I was going to be alone for one thousand years, or until I die, whichever comes first.
“Wait! Did I just fly!?”
