Green With Envy Amongst Other Things

You wake up once Celestia's sun has came upon the horizon and now beam's of light are starting to hit your face. You open your eyes slowly and wipe away the crust within the corners. The sun's ray's make full contact with your eyes and it earns a squeal in surprise "eep." With your eyes now stinging and the day beginning you swivel your head and neck around to see if you can spot the colt from before. There lays a tiny colt, curled up into a ball next to you. A warm chuckle leaves your lips as you try to get up without disturbing the guy.

The camp was still relatively neat from before except a few branches and leafs of tress are now scattered around and your fire is now just a pile of smoldering wood. By your judgement you estimate it has just gone 6 am going by the sunrise and the sun is now rising slower as time goes by. I suppose I better wake him up, you think  with a hint of uncertainty. "Hey little guy, you awake?" you say in a hushed tone and kneel down to his height so he wont be intimidated by you.

The colt slowly stirs from his sleep, doing the same routine you did as you awoke. "Who....who are you," the colt says as he points toward you with a hoof, still shaking a little.

"Me, my little fellow am Nature Cloud. The most talented pony i know" you say. though you don't gloat often you thought now would be a good time to say something good about yourself to give the little guy confidence in answering your questions. "Who are you?."

"Er...uuh...i'm Earth Stopper" he says. You can tell his still shaken up about waking up next to some guy he doesn't know anything about.

You give him a concerned look, "so... wotcha doing out here. When you stumbled upon my camp you were busted up and bruised to hell."

"I...err...well..you see..." with those last words the little colt darted off in the first direction he thought of. Luckily it was towards Ponyville. Yes, you could catch him but no you thought, let him go. It's obvious  he wasn't comfortable talking about himself. Going to have to find him once i get settled in, you thought.

Once packed (not that there was much to be packed) you headed out in the direction the foal went. Breathing slowly as you calmly walk your way down the dirt path you looked up to see Cloudsdale. Tough the only thing you could see of it was the floor, which is just a huge cloud and some rainbow falls that came of the side of the mainly Pegasus only city.

Just as the sun passed mid-day in the sky you were on the outskirts of Ponyville. You could see what it looked like from the position of the hill. Straw thatched roof's with a wooden frame and walls, smoke coming out of chimney stacks and a few unique buildings. A giant tree, a carousel looking building and a big gingerbread house. "What in the world is with the strange building's" you mumble out to no-pony in-particular. Just then you swear you could hear a faint scream.

"Looooooooook......OOOOOOOOoooouuuut..." it said before you felt like you had just been crushed by a bear.

"Owww...what the heck" you say as you rub the back of your neck. You try to get up but to no avail, something is holding you down. Opening your eyes you see the second strangest thing you've seen thus far, A Pegasus mare with rainbow hair and a sky blue coat sprawled out on top of you moaning and mumbling to herself. Before you had time to react, she opened her eyes which revealed a lovely pool of pink staring at you.

"uhh...sorry about that dude." she says climbing off you. "I kinda got carried away with a new trick and it got out of control...you know the rest" she says rubbing the back of her neck and looking around nervously.

Getting back to you hooves as your finally able to respond "No problem, I've been hit with worse things. plus i got to meet you didn't i?" you say, oblivious to the fact she was now blushing, "my name is Nature Cloud, what might yours be?"

"My name's Rainbow Dash, winner of the best young flyers competition and future Wonderbolt!" she says with pride while striking a heroic pose.

"Really? I won the best young flyers competition also" you say with a big smile while trying to intimidate Rainbow's pose.

Rainbow starts eyeing you up, as her gaze concentrates on your wings you start to feel nervous. No she's not implying anything Cloud, she is just seeing if you good enough to win. "Well...i guess you could have won but i doubt it" she say's as her gaze finally goes off your wings, which she spent way too much time "analyzing."

"I could prove it to you now, but i have to get going. i'm moving to Ponyville and i don't want to camp out anymore"  lightly laughing at the end of the statement.

"Ah well, i don't want too keep you but..."she say's sizing your wings again. "You have to promise to race me sometime" and with that she spits on her hoof and holds it out for you. Disgusting as it is you have to make friends so you spit on your hoof and bump hers. The second your hoof touches hers she nods and flies away within a blink of an eye.

"She's going to be tough to beat" you say with a grin. After watching Dash fly away you turn and scan the town for what looks like a town hall, taking several minutes to look around you spot a very tall building next to the river that looks like a town hall. "Well, i guess that's it" you say as you start to trot up to it. Arriving at town hall a little later and getting strange looks of ponies, presumably because your new. You open the doors and trot inside.

Making note of the secretary you ask her the most obvious question. "Can i see the mayor, i'm looking to buy residence within this town." She snorts a little at your attempt to talk in a very polite accent which she obviously wasn't buying.

"Okay, give me one moment" she says turning around and walking through a door. She quickly returns and says "she'll see you"

"Thanks miss" nodding in appreciation too her. Following the path she took you find your self in the mayors office, looking around you see various diploma's hung on the wall with filing cabinets along the same wall. Her desk was facing the door and behind it was a large window with a view of a farm of in the distance.

"Why hello there, i'm Mare Mayor and i'm the mayor of Ponyville. I just received message from my secretary that you wish to move here?"  she says with an inquisitive look.

"Er...yes, Miss Mayor. The main specification i would need is that there would be a pool within the house i buy" you say while gesturing with you hooves.

"Well we just happen to have a house with a pool in, i don't know why most ponies don't like swimming, it's lovely. Anyway the house your interested in is just across the bridge from town hall. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 on-suite), kitchen, living-room, pool room with a 15 metre pool and a garden. I hope you will find this to your liking. As for the price... i'd say with stuff that goes on in the town the house should be 2000 bits to purchase and 500 bits a month. How does that sound?" she says that quite calmly and with a hopeful glimmer in her eyes.

"That sound's perfect. Thank you Mayor" you say just above normal tone and grasp her into a hug.

"Yes...well you'll just need to sign these document's and you'll be off. and before i forget. Watch out for a completely pink pony as she usually can tell when somepony is new in town and will throw you a huge party"

"Thanks for the warning Mayor and i will keep a sharp eye out."

After signing the papers and saying goodbye, you're about to take a step out of the town hall as a home owner and you realize. Finally, I've done it. Got a house by myself, going to be living in a new town, hiding from a pink pony as i detest party's and I've made a friend. what can be better than this?
