The Salamander of Equestria

Zin began to open his eye's but slowly blinked them as all he could see blurry images. Finally after being able to see more clearly he saw a ceiling that was......black with green highlights through it.

Zin couldn't help but sweat drop. "Do all changeling's like this color?"

He looked around his surrounding's to see that he was clearly in a hospital. He looked down at his body to see the blood was cleaned off.

"Gave a whole new meaning drowning in blood." *chuckles*

But then he began to panic and reached for his mouth only to find his mask still there and let out a relaxed a sigh.

He then began to get up but felt weight on his right arm and looked at it to see Zecora asleep on it. He also noticed the mane six asleep around the room as well.

Zin eye began to twitch. "Why is it I can see other stuff clearly but I can't find them?!" Zin mentally shouted.

"I see you awake." a voice spoke causing Zin to look over at the door to see Tadakatsu leaning against the door with his arms over his chest. He didn't have his armor and was wearing casual clothes.

Tadakatsu pushed up from the wall and walked over ton Zin to stand at his bed.

The two seasoned warriors stared at each other until Tadakatsu dropped on his knee.

"We all owe you a debt for saving us from that monster."

"No."

Tadakatsu looked up at Zin. "You all don't owe me anything. I just did what was right."

Tadakatsu stood up and looked at Zin. "You are a interesting person Zin."

Zin looked at Zecora and noticed her hair was let down.

"They never left your side.: *Zin looks at Tadakatsu* The Queen wanted to thank you personally but wanted to wait till you are better."

Zin looked at him then started to get up without waking up Zecora.

"Your clothes are right there along with your weapon." Tadakatsu pointed over to a corner which Zin walked over to.

As Zin began to put his clothes back the girl's had begun to wake up.

They saw Zin out of his bed and were about to freak out (except Zecora who saw Zin in the corner) until Tadakatsu coughed and pointed at Zin.

Zin heard the cough and turned only to get tackled into a hug and all began to say stuff like how was he and other stuff to which Zin just wrapped his arms around them.

"Hey I'm alright so don't worry."

The girl's smiled. Rainbow and Applejack looked at each other.

"Good." They then brought both their fist's down on Zin head causing him face plant then proceeded to yell at him.

"How could you do something so stupid! Especially when you told them to not let us help you! I thought we were your friend's and friend's let each other help!"

The girl's couldn't help but feel the same so they didn't say anything.

Twilight then walked up and began a lecture about friendship and how it was also to stay in bed to help heal. While all this was going on Tadakatsu was bend over laughing.

The girl's eventually began to laugh to and Zin stood up and let out a chuckle.

Zecora went to say something when she saw something on Zin chest. and her eye's went wide.

"Zin your chest." The girl's looked to see what Zecora was talking about and their eye's went wide as well.

Zin just looked at them confused but then looked at what they were staring at causing his eye's to go wide.

"NANI?!"

On his chest was a mark but was strange. It had what appeared to be people but Zin could tell they were different. The first two he could see it The ponies and changelings. But the strange thing was that around them was a salamander that looked like it was attacking them but if you looked closer you could see it was protecting them.

Zin put his hand on his mark but it just feel like skin to him.

"I thought you said our kind don't get cutie marks?"

"We don't. I have no idea how this happened."

As the group continued to look at his mark a changeling had walked in and whispered into Tadakatsu ear who nodded his head.

"It appears that her majesty would like to see you now if you are able."

Zin looked at the girl's who nodded their head's yes and Zin nodded his head to Tadakatsu who motioned them to follow him.

The group had checked out of the hospital and was on their way to the throne room.

But as they walked by the changeling's, citizens and soldier's bowed at Zin who just picked up the pace as the group laughed.

"You not afraid to fight anything but you can't stand people looking at you!" Rainbow shouted and proceeded to fall on her back and laugh. Zin just glared at them.

The group had arrived at the throne room and went pass the guards who just nodded their head's.

Zin opened the door's and saw........changeling's.........more changeling's and Chrysalis siting on her throne with a smile.

All the changeling's saw Zin and had smile's on their face but Zin just walked forward until he and the group were in front of Chrysalis who had stood up.

"Just the person I wanted to see."

Chrysalis walked over to Zin.

"I would like to think you for saving me and my people.*Zin didn't say anything so Chrysalis continued* Say want you want and I will grant it."

"No."

"It shall be......what?"

"I didn't save your people so you could reward me. I just did what was right. I'm not a hero. The real hero's are you, your general and your soldier's who fought with everything to protect your people so you don't owe me anything."

Everyone had their mouths opened in shock at Zin.

"He turns down a reward simply cause he thought he was doing the right thing?.....Who is he?"

"Who are you?"

Zin went to say something when Pinkie appeared in front of him and speaking before he had a chance to.

"He is Zin. Zin The Black Salamander."

The changeling's looked at her then Zin.

"Zin. Are you sure we can't do anything. You saved us and we wouldn't want you to unrewarded."

Zin looked at her for a minute then spoke up.

"Actually have you seen a plant called the Doku kōka?"

Chrysalis stood there then spoke.

"Tadakatsu bring the plant." He nodded his head then walked out of the throne room.

"The Doku kōka had been here even before my people moved here. We didn't what it was but have kept it."

Tadakatsu returned holding the plant which was in a plant holder and gave it to Chrysalis.

She turned ad handed it out to Zin who gracefully took it.

"I thank you majesty." Zin bowed.

"Now I'm sure you and your group have more important thing's to do. Tadakatsu will show you the way out. You all will be welcomed here."

"Wait."

Everyone looked at Zin.

"I know your kind are starving."

Twilight looked at Zin and thought. "Where are you going with this Zin?"

"Come with me to Canterlot."

"WHAT?!"

"Talk to Celestia and try to get help for your people." Zin didn't seemed faced by the yell.

Tadakatsu was he first to speak. "You want our Queen to go into the capital of Equestria....SHE COULD DIE!"

"No." This caused Tadakatsu to become silent.

"I will protect her even if it means going through the entire Royal guard."

Tadakatsu looked into his eye's.

"He's...actually serious!"

"You can also bring your guard's with you."

Chrysalis stood there in thought.

"I will go but I will go alone."

This was met with protest's by the changeling's.

"ENOUGH!"

This silenced them.

"I need to go alone to prove that I am serious about getting help."

The changeling's were silent.

"She should. Everyone looked over and saw Tadakatsu.

"I hate the idea but it seems to be the only way but....Tadakatsu looks at Zin* The Black Salamander will protect her so I put my faith into her."

The changeling's stood there until eventually they agreed.

Zin looks at Twilight and spoke.

"Can you send a letter to Celestia?"

Twilight nodded her head yes and had pulled a paper and quill and began to write.

                     *Hospital*

The princess's along with Spike. Both the Princess's looked like a mess. Their proud mane were down and not as beautifull as it was. They both had dark rings around heir eye's indicating the lack of sleep.

"Sister it has been three day's."

"I know Luna."

"i fear that if they don't hurry that the three will be lost."

The cutie Mark Crusader's looked fine but Celestia and Luna could sense that the poison had spread and was continuing to do so.

When they went to speak they heard a burp and looked at Spike who caught a letter.

Spike handed it to Celestia who began to read it.

"They found the plant Luna!"

Luna smiled but then noticed Celestia look.

"Sister what is it?"

Celestia didn't answer but handed it to her and Luna read it then looked at her sister who had her eye's closed.

"Sister?"

Celestia opened her eye's.

"I need to write a letter to Cadence and Shining Armor."

"Celestia is that wise?"

"They need to be here Luna. They are in charge of a kingdom as well so they should be here. Plus better now then later."

"I hope nothing happens."

Celestia smiled.

I don't think anything will. After all we have a Black Salamander with us."
