The Salamander of Equestria

In a hospital room that had the curtains blocking the sunlight was where stood Zin along with the element's, and the Princess's. There was no smiles and Pinkie hair that was puffy was now deflated. The reason they were there was because of the three bodies laying down in the bed. The group heard the door open and in walked a nurse. The first ones that were up to her was Rainbow, Applejack, and Rarity.

"Is there any improvement? Is the medicine working?"

"Girl's give her a chance to speak." causing them to back off.

Twilight then looked over and asked "Nurse Redheart had there been any improvement?"

Nurse Redheart stood there then gave a sigh.

"We did all we could do but the medicine is having no effect.

"Wait you mean they..."

"Yes. I'm sorry but we can't do anything about it."

The whole group was shocked and had tears from the new's but Zin already knew the answer.

Zin sighed and remembered how all this happen.

                                                        *Flashback*

Scootaloo held Zin mask in her hand.

"This mask is kind of cool."

"Hey maybe we got our cutie mark's."

The three began to search their bodies for their cutie marks but none of them noticed a purple like mist coming from Zin mouth and was heading toward the ceiling but the three were in it's path.

"Aw we didn't get our cutie marks." pouted Sweetie.

"All well a least we get to see..what is that?" Applebloom asked as she pointed at the mist that was right up there at their chest.

"It's coming from Zin mouth, but why would he hide something cool like this? It's awesome."

The mist had reached their noses and they breathed it in. "Hmm smells fu....nn.y." Applebloom fell down passed out.

"My body is...g.......oiing numb." Scootaloo was next to fall down.

Sweetie was the last one to fall down. "s.i....ster.." She was trying to yell but could only say in a whisper. She started to past out trying to yell to her sister.

"SISTER!" Was the last thing she yelled before she passed out but it did awake everyone.

"Why did you..."Zin trailed off as he sat up and saw the three on the ground along with a certain mask.

"O god no." Zin ran over and quickly put the mask on causing the poison mist to stop escaping his mouth.

"What's the idea Sweeti...SWEETIE BELLE!" Rarity had yelled while she ran over to her sister and puller her into her arm's.

"Applebloom come on wake up." "Scoot come on you stronger then this."

While everyone had finally awoke and was trying to figure out what was going on. Zin was reaching into his pocket.

"Come on I know I have the vial where is it? Wait it was destroyed when I fought Pein." Zin eyes went wide.

"Twilight, Zecora what's wrong with them!?" Rainbow yelled as the two was trying to figure out what was going on.

"I....don't know, Rainbow." Twilight spoke.

Zin went to say something when he was slammed against the wall by Rainbow and Applejack who both had tears in their eye's along with anger.

"What the buck did you do!?"

".......It was a accident. you two can hate me later but now we need to hurry. Twilight send a letter to the Princess's now!" Zin pushed Rainbow and Applejack off him though they both glare at him. He also heard a poof which signaled the letter was sent.

"Zecora go to your hut and gather the manticore venom and use it to make the strongest cure for poison you can. It won't cure them but it will help slow down the poison."

"How do you know this?"

Zin looked over to Twilight and responded "I will explain it later but please do as I ask."

Zecora nodded her head and ran to do as he asked. No sooner as she left there was a flash and Celestia along with her sister was standing in the middle of the room. The two immediately ran over towards Twilight who was using her magic to scan the three.

"Princess I don't how but the three were poisoned and it's something I never seen before." The two looked at Zin who looked down at the ground.

"We must the three to the hospital. Everyone hang on." Celestia horn glowed and the group found themselves in the middle of the hospital where all the staff were looking them with bewildered looks.

"We need help. These three have been poisoned!" that snapped them out of their trance and immediately began to yell to get a stretcher. They put the three on the stretcher's and pushed them to the back.

"Princess what about Zecora?" "I will teleport to her." Luna horn glowed then she was gone as well.

The group had went to the back where they saw doctor's and nurses were running tests trying to see what they could inject into them to cure them. There was a flash and Luna along with Zecora appeared.

Zecora went over to a doctor and tapped him on the shoulder causing him to turn around. "This will help but it won't cure the poison." The doctor took the vial and nodded his head. Zecora took her place back with the group who were trying to comfort their friend's. Rarity was bawling while Applejack and Rainbow were trying to hold back their tear's.

                                      *Present*

Zin just stood there till he felt a hand touch his shoulder causing him to look to see the two Princess's with stern looks looking at him.

"I think it's time you tell us what happened." Celestia spoke. Zin just looked at them but noticed everyone else did as well. Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow had glare's in their eye's. He just sighed.

"Very well but I think you should give them more of the medicine to slow down poison some more." Zecora nodded her head and went to do as he asked.

Zin waited till they were all seated and were paying attention.

"You all know I from a different world that is plagued by war." causing them to nod their head's.

"In my world I was known as "The Black Salamander"."

"Black Salamander?"

"It's a poisonous creature that has poison to kill you within three day's if bitten by it's mouth."

"Why are you named after such a creature?"

"It's the same reason why those three are dying cause of me."

The group just looked at him confused but Zecora asked the question that was on their mind's.

"You said it was accident and you nicknamed after a creature with a very dangerous poison so how is your fault?"

Zin put a hand on the left side of his abdomen over his cross-shaped scar.

"There was one rare black Salamander that it's poison gland's would kill you within a single day."

"What does this have to do with what happened to our sister's!?"

Zin continued his explaining not disturbed by Rainbow yelling.

"When it died it's gland's were removed and put it into a child trying to make the perfect solider."

Twilight spoke up "The child must of died."

Zin shook his head. "The child survived. *gasps* I know the child as well. Thanks to the poison gland's he became immune to any poison or venom that it wouldn't kill or effect him."

"I'm sensing a but in that somewhere."

"It also caused him to have to weir a mask or poison anyone in his path.On purpose or accident."

"Why are you still explaining about a stupid animal no offense Fluttershy and why all this about" "It's you isn't it?" Twilight interrupted Rainbow.

Zin smiled sadly. "You are very smart, Twilight." Zin removed his hand from his scar. "I am the child."

The whole group was silent until Celestia spoke up. "Why would someone do that to you?"

"It was about trying to make the ultimate warrior. When I was little at the age of eight I was stabbed in this spot where my scar is. I was left to die but my father found me. It was also at the same time the salamander died and you know the rest."

Zin looked at them. "I'm sorry for not telling you all this but everyone who knows about me in my world are terrified of me and I didn't won't that here. *Zin then knelled down on his knees and bowed his head till it touched the ground* I'm sorry for all this. I won't ask for forgiveness because I don't deserve it. I leave my life in your hand's."

The group was shocked that he just said that. Rarity, Applejack and Rainbow were silent. The three then walked toward him and still stayed in the same spot. He felt a hand on his shoulder that caused him to look up at their face's. He looked and saw the tear's still in their eye's.

Rarity brought her hand back and smacked Zin on the side of his face while Rainbow and Applejack made both fist's and hit him in the stomach at the same time causing him to bend over gasping in for air only for the three to bring him into a hug.

Zin was shocked at the three hugging him. "Why?"

Applejack spoke first "We know you didn't mean any harm. We can tell you care for them. You even apologized and you don't need to have the element of honesty to know that it was all heart."

"The same plus Scoots thinks you cool and that is good enough for me."

"Rarity was the last to speak. "You also risked your life for them even though you didn't know them."

The three continued to hug Zin who returned it while Twilight walked toward Celestia and Luna.

"Princess's isn't there anything we could do? And if not ain't there a spell that could a least slow down the poison even slower?"

"hmm I know a spell that will slow down the poison but i'm sorry."

"Sister what about the Doku kōka?"

The group had heard that and turned to look at Luna. "You mean there is a way to cure them?"

"I don't know but there was a book I read a long time ago. The Doku kōka was said to be a plant that held power to make a never ending cure to anything but it is supposedly located in the badlands. It was silver that sparkled in moonlight but changed to shiny gold in the sunlight and sparkles."

"The same place where the changeling's landed!?" Twilight shouted.

"Changeling?"

"It is insect-like race that have the ability to shape shift into anyone. They have black carapace-like coats, webbed manes and tails, reflection-less eyes though the eye's might be a intimidating tactic. They are also lead by their queen Chrysalis."

"You all have anger in your eye's."

"They tried to take over Canterlot and almost ruined my brother's wedding not mention they feed off love!"

"Hmm did they hurt anyone in the invasion?"

"No but why does that.."

"That's reason enough. If these changeling's were as bad as you make them then they would have killed everyone in their path but didn't. It doesn't excuse them for doing it but the reason I think they did this might be cause they were starving but I'm not sure."

  Zin went through hand sign's and stopped on the last one causing a poof to appear and his weapon dropped which he caught and put on his back.

"I might also think they might of not asked for help cause everyone is afraid of their appearance. I know that everyone has kindness but most hide it."

"You might be right Zin. What are you doing?" Zin wrapped the chain around his chest untill his weapon hung on his back.

"I'm going after the Doku kōka."

"You don't know if it is even exist!"

"I don't but it's better then trying. Can you show me a map to the badlands?"

Celestia saw that he was not going to be deterred so she summoned a map. "The badlands are here." She pointed to a desert that had rock mountain's. "It's located west of Canterlot. I can summon you to Canterlot gate but you have to go from there."

Zin nodded his head. "Wait!" Zin turned and saw Zecora who had a staff in her right hand. "I'm going with you as well."

"You definitely not leaving us out of it either!" Rainbow shouted causing Zin to look at them.

"Our sister's need our help and we are also going to help our friend."

Zin closed his eye's for a minute but opened them with determination. "Very well."

"Me and my sister will stay here to keep the spell up but it won't last forever so you all will to hurry. So I suggest you all hurry home and pack what you need." causing them all to run to their home's to pack.

Zin walked over to the Cutie Mark Crusader's bed's to look at them while the princess's looked at him.

"I swear that I will see you three cured even if it cost's me my life. You three are just beginning to live and have family that will what to see you have family's of your own." Zin thought. He then bend over and kissed their forehead's.

Zin felt a hand on his shoulder and looked to it was Celestia. "You care for those three very much....I believe that you will succeed in this quest. You have friend's that are with you every step of the way. You will also find something else though I don't know what."

Zin just nodded his head. He then turned to see the group had returned with pack's.

"Ok my little pony's I will teleport you all to Canterlot but the rest of the journey will be up to you all. You have done many thing's and I believe you will succeed as you have done. Are you ready?" Everyone nodded their head's yes. Celestia horn glowed then there was a flash and the group were gone.

The group had found themselves at the entrance to Canterlot but turned around in the direction of the badland's. They all turned and nodded their head's at each other.

Zin eye's looked forward with determination. "Hang on you three....I will return with the cure!"
