Waking Up

Beep. Beep. Beep. The annoying beeping repeated over and over. Beep. Beep. Rainbow Dash buried her head in her pillow. She groaned. She rolled over into the bright light of the hospital. She saw ponies at the ending of her bed. "Applejack, Pinkie, Twilight, Rarity?" she recognized her friends at the end of the bed. "1, 2, 3, 4...." she trailed off. "Where is Fluttershy?"

Then she remembered the fall... again. "Is she okay?"

Twilight look at her friend. "Well... Fluttershy is..... well okay." she stuttered. Rainbow Dash's eyes shot daggers at the alicorn. She could tell her friend was lying. "Why are you lying to me? What did I do to you?" she asked before the other pony could answer. "Just-" she stuttered. "Leave." The four other ponies looked at eahother before exiting quickly.

Rainbow stood on shaky legs beside her bed. She was so bored! She walked clumsily to the mare's room and looked in the mirrior. She gasped at what she saw.

Her wings. "No no no no..." she whispered. The whisper became a wail of pain and loss. The bandages around her wings told her one thing. I will never fly again.
