In the near future, vividly colored ponies arrive to Earth, and no one exactly knows why. What people do know is that the ponies can be harnessed as an hallucinogenic, which in turn creates a more dangerous drug war that spanned across the globe.

By the tens of thousands, a large portion of Earth's populous sought after the highly addictive and elusive hallucinogen, creating chaos and panic through the first world countries. Cartels and gangs grew in number, warfare broke out in streets and suburbs, no one and nowhere was safe. Not until a joint effort from the governments of the world did the fighting cease. No one knows how many Equestrian ponies remain in captivity or in the wild, but many still see them as a threat to all they encounter. Housing or interacting with ponies is an international offense, and to keep them away from the ponies, propaganda, religion, and mass media manipulation has spurred hatred for the colorful equine. This was three years ago, and the world was never the same.
