Chapter 5: Earning Cutie Marks

"Crafty look!" Star said pointing at her friend's flank.

"What? What? What? What?" Crafty said spinning around trying to see his cutie mark wich was a spark with wings.

"How did you get it? When we where trying earlier you didn't get it." Star said wondering how her friend got his mark.

"Well when you started to come down in that bright light thingy it starteled me and I accsidently cast the spell and flew but I didn't know that I earned my cutie mark." Crafty said explaining what happened.

"I knew that flying would be your special talent!" Star exclaimed doing a victory dance.

"YAY!!!!!! My cutie mark!!!" Crafty exclaimed victory danceing with Star. "But what about you Star?" Crafty asked remembering that his friend was still a blankflank.

"I have an idea." Luna said stepping towards the friends. She had startled the two friends as they had forgotten that Luna was still there.

"What?" They asked.

"Come with me to Canterlot and you will see." Luna replied. Star waited for Crafty to take off first so if he needed help she could help him. Soon they where at the castle that Princess Luna and Princess Celestia live in. Luna set the moon and stars once they arrived. Luna took them to her room and both the foals where suprized at how much it looked like their homes. "You may sleep on my bed my little children of the night." Luna said before going to find her sister.

Star saw a picture of Luna and her family. "Hey Crafty do you know what the princesses' parents names where?" Star asked.

"Yes. Their mother was named Phoenix Skies and their father was named Night Skies." Crafty said.

"I would have thought that Luna would be closer to her dad and Princess Celestia would be closer to her mom. But I guess not. How about you?" Star said.

"I thought the same as well. Seeing as Luna and her dad where both night. And same with Princess Celestia and her mom." Crafty said. Soon the foals where fast asleep. Luna woke them up when she was going to raise the moon and stars.

"Time to get up my children of the night." Luna said. The foals got up and rubed crust from their eyes and yawned. They followed Luna outside. Luna whispered something in to Star's ear and then her horn started to glow a navy blue. Then a star appeared in the sky.

"Star! Your cutie mark!" Crafty said. Star started to spin around to see her cute mark. Hmm... I'v seen this before. But where? Crafty thought. Oh yeah. The ground and in the sky. He remembered.

"YAY!!!!!!!! My cutie mark!!!!!!!!" Star exclaimed.
