Rainbow Butterflies

"Are you ready for this game?" Spitfire asked Rainbow Dash.

"Um, y-yeah... But what if I-"

"Hey," Spitfire interrupted. "No what ifs. Remember. There's a 50% chance of winning! But there's also the same percent of chance of you losing. You'll do fine if you believe in yourself."

"Wow," Rainbow said. "You sound like Fluttershy!"

Spitfire laughed and walked away. The yellow girl hugged Rainbow. "Just do your best Rainbow Dash. Wow, now I sound like Twilight!" Fluttershy heard the whistle and ran back to the bleachers. The rainbow haired girl waved at her girlfriend, smiling. Rainbow got in position with her team.

"I got this." The whistle blew, and the other team captain swiped the ball. She dribbled to the side where the hoop was. She shot the ball, and missed the net. Rainbow came in and took the ball and dribbled it to the other side. She shoots, and scores.

Only the middle of the game. Wondercolts: 17 points. Mustangs: 17 points.

This was the big round before halftime. The two team captains stood in front of each other, face-to-face. They were sweaty from running around the court so much. The whistle blew, and the Mustang captain swiped the ball. "Oh no." Rainbow ran after her. The captain threw the ball, trying to pass it to one of her teammates. Dash ran in front of the girl and took the ball. She dribbled to the hoop, she shoots, and it falls through the net.

"Yay...!" Fluttershy yelled. Rainbow looked at her and smiled. She looked back at the mustangs, so tired and sweaty. The crowd of people still yelled and screamed in excitement. "Wondercolts!"

"Canterlot! Canterlot!"

"Hooray for Rainbow Dash!"

"Go Cloud Kicker!"

"Mustangs! You gotta do better! Oh come on!"

"Spitfire did it!"

"Rainbow Dash... I love you...."

Fluttershy ran down to hug Rainbow Dash again. "You did it, Dashie'!"

"Yeah... Yeah I did!"

The school band walked out onto the stadium. They started playing a song.

"It's halftime, Fluttershy. I'm going to the locker room."

"I'm coming with you." The yellow girl followed.

"Why?" Rainbow asked.

Fluttershy blushed. "Because I wanted to do the... thing..."

Rainbow realized what she was talking about. "Ok, let's go Fluttershy!"

They walked into one of the showers. Rainbow was pinned by Fluttershy to the wall, and the yellow girl turned on the water. The couple walked out of the shower, turning the water off. They put their clothes back on, and ran back into the stadium.

"After school one day."
