The origins of Glistening Blade Ponyville Royal guard

"Blade you need to wake up."

"Wha what Twilight it's midnight." said Blade as he rubbed his eyes with his hooves.

"Blade wake up please."

"I'm up what is it."

"Do you not see what is in front of us."

Blade rolls out of bed and looks in front of Twilight and him and sees nothing."Twilight there is nothing there."

"Oh sorry i must have had a nightmare can you forgive me for waking you up."

"Of course Twilight it's fine what did you see anyway?"

"I saw a mare that had a black coat and who's mane was on fire it seemed so real."

"Why does that sound familiar to me i've heard that before."

"Well go back to sleep i'm fine."

Twilight and Blade kissed then Blade snuggled up close to Twilight saying "Everything is going to be fine i'm here for you." They both fell asleep in a matter of minutes. Blade woke up at around 3 smelling fire he raised his head and saw exactly what Twilight was talking about. Oh no where is my ax when i need it what do i do he wondered. The mare stared at him with her glowing red eyes. "Blade i am the Nightmare i will be one of your greatest challenges to overcome here in Ponyville." Well like i don't have enough to worry about right now he thought to himself." I meant to find you but i found your partner Twilight Sparkle here. Now as i was saying before i was summoned with dark magic and sent to you to destroy and terrorize this town." Oh great destruction my life is getting abused right now who would do this to me Blade thought. "I harvest the nightmares from any and everypony possible but you are to strong you are the only one who can destroy me or revert me back to my true form." "Why are you telling me this shouldn't you be trying to ruin my life." said Blade in a scared tone. "You see young one i am trying to get you to save me i cannot stop myself from destroying the town but i can choose what to say." Blade stood up and walked over to Nightmare he looked at her she was a pegasus who had seen some very dark times there were scratches all over her. "I have turned this way from the constant punishment i have endured now i must turn the tables goodbye." Nightmare dissapeared Blade went over to the bed and woke up Twilight.

"Twilight wake up please i need you."

"Blade what is it?"

"I saw what you did the flaming mare her name is Nightmare she is going to destroy the town i need your help."

"Blade i would love to help you but it is 3 in the morning please let me sleep i'm already scared from what i saw."

Blade left the house he walked around the town to find that nothing was wrong. What the there's nothing wrong with the town he thought, Well i'm going to have to sleep more i must be going crazy he though. Blade walked all around the town when he realized something he wasn't in ponyville. "What the where am i" he said aloud.

"Blade you are in my realm it is the realm of Night i have summoned you here this is what ponyville will look like when i'm done you must stop me." Blade looked around the town was in flames and everypony looked like they were scared and lifeless. "I'm still not understanding how you can talk to me like this and then decide to destroy the town." "Blade i am two sides to the same coin one is good the other is bad my form changes every few hours." "So your telling me to stop you because you know your evil intentions will set in." "Yes Blade you must stop me if you want to say your friends and your loved one Twilight Sparkle." "This must be a dream i must be going crazy" he said aloud. Blade shook his head vigorously until he collapsed onto the ground. He stood back up slowly and he was in the house with Twilight.

"Twilight want some breakfast."

"Yes please Blade."

Blade made them breakfast then he told Twilight off his encounter with Nightmare. "Wow Blade that is one crazy dream you had there." "Yeah i know it seemed so real i could smell the fire of her mane and i could hear the screams from the stolen Nightmares she had consumed." "That is crazy thank goodness it was a dream i don't think the town would be ready for that." "Yeah i know Twilight well lets get out of the house." Blade and Twilight both walked outside together they were holding hooves they looked over at the town it was up in flames.
