The origins of Glistening Blade Ponyville Royal guard

{This is the 2nd part of The Nightmare this is starting from exactly where it left off.}

Blade stood there shocked he wasn't dreaming before it was all real he wasn't going crazy. "Twilight get inside i need to stop this only i can." "Alright Blade please make sure to come back." Twilight walked into the house and shut the door while Blade looked forward at the town engulfed in flames. He had no idea how to stop the Nightmare but he knew she destroy the whole town if he didn't at least try. I have to know her weakness if i am to destroy her but what can it be all i know is she is the essence of darkness and abuse and she uses our fears as a disguise leading into our minds deepest thoughts weakening us from the inside out. "Wow that was the most i've ever thought in my life" he said aloud. Blade walked around looking for Nightmare she was nowhere in sight. "I can't stop this if i can't find her i need help." Blade walked back to the house to find Twilight waiting for him. "Twilight i need your help i can't do this alone i'm supposed to but i can't." "Alright Blade lets go then we can do it together." They walked out the house together they made there way to Sweet Apple Acres to find Lowell outside waiting.

"Blade what are you doing save the town it's burning down buck."

"Lowell i need your help have you seen Nightmare."

"Yes she was torching our apple trees can you stop her."

"Yes he can he's amazing" said Twilight with full confidence.

"Well he better do something soon eveypony is starting to go crazy they are living there worst fears."

Blade ran away he couldn't listen to them anymore all the pressure was building up and if he failed it meant his life and everypony elses. He grabbed his ax i'm going to end this he said to himself. He ran into the Nightmare except she didn't attack him. "Blade please save me i cannot stop the evil within me from destroying the town." "If i end your life will that save the town and it's people." "No Blade it will not you can't destroy me you can either force me back to my dimension or you can save me." Them she turned back to evil she threw him across the town he landed right next to Twilight where he was knocked out she sat there shaking him which did nothing at all he had a huge gash on his head and cuts all over him. Twilight sat there looking at him waiting for him to wake up wondering will he wake up at all. While Blade laid there unconscious in his head he saw something he found a spell that could banish nightmare to a different realm where there is no life. After his dream ended he woke up he looked over at Twilight who was stunned the Nightmare was coming right at her. Blade stood up feeling woozy from the huge gash in his head.

"Twilight i'll save you" he said as he ran in front of Twilight holding the Nightmare away from her. He stepped forward pushing Nightmare back but she wasn't going to let him win she pushed him back and he fell. Then she charged Twilight again who was still stunned. Nightmare threw Twilight aside she smashed through multiple buildings. Blade stood up he was glowing golden he was so angry that he had used a powerful magic he had not known about. He ran at Nightmare he threw her across the town. Then he ran over to where she layed and he picked her up in his hooves then he slammed her to the ground with a loud thud. After all of this he realized he was just making it worse he remembered what she had said about how she was always abused and then she became the Nightmare. He picked her up and hugged her then he said "I'm sorry Nightmare." Her whole body lit up into flames as she rose into the sky. Blade ran over to Twilight making sure she was alright.

"Twilight are you ok my love."

"Yes Blade but better question are you ok look at your head that cut is huge."

"I'm fine" he said as he lifted Twilight and started taking her back to there house. He brought her upstairs and layed her on the bed she smiled at him. Blade walked outside to see a huge wall of flame in front of him."Oh no not again." he said. Then the fire died down revealing a pegasus. "Blade you have saved me and reverted me to my true form." He stared at the pegasus she was midnight blue and her mane was a really light blue and it moved like fire. "I'm sorry if i hurt you back there." she looked at him and chuckled. "Blade do you realize what you have done you have saved me from the curse of darkness." Blade sat there looking really confused. "Well what do i call you now." she looked at him like really you saved me and your asking for my name not a reward wow. "My name is Midnight i was transformed to Nightmare long ago when Celestia and Luna were young i used to have Luna's job now that i am free i can return to where i should be in time." Blade sat there finally realizing how important what he did was. Blade as a reward i will give you 2 things. One is the Blade of Night this weapon is only to be used in emergency's or if you know what your doing one hit will make your enemy collapse. The other is a set of armor it is the Armor Of Flaming Midnight. That is how my main glowed like that this armor becomes invisible when you wear it and makes you extremely powerful it is how i beat you at first. "Thank you Midnight i will use this stuff to the best of my ability." After Blade finished his sentence Midnight vanished. Blade walked back inside to see Twilight talking to Princess Celestia. "Ah there is our savior" said Twilight.

"Blade i understand that you saved the town is this correct" asked Princess Celestia.

"Princess i saved Midnight from her curse of darkness."

"Yes i saw that you did the town a great service by saving it but it is very destroyed."

"Yes i know Princess i couldn't save everything i'm so sorry."

"Blade you saved everyone though sure the buildings may be destroyed but you cannot reclaim a life like you can a building."

"Princess since Blade arrived this town has been greatly protected" said Twilight happily.

"Yes my faithful student i know he's doing a great job take this Blade" she hands blade a wrapped item.

"Thank you Princess i'm sure this will be very useful."

"Alright Blade it's time for me to leave come visit sometime and can you 2 help repair the town."

Princess Celestia leaves the house leaving Blade and Twilight. Twilight jumps on Blade hugging and kissing him "thanks so much for saving me i was so scared i didn't know what to do i'm lucky to have you." Blade kisses and hugs back and says "Twilight your my girl nothing is going to hurt you well not to badly anyway i tried though." She looks at Blade and smiles "You saved me i will love you forever because this." Blade blushes "Well thanks i think it's time for bed it's getting late." They snuggle up together and fall asleep.
