The Dark Guardians
How to save a princess
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe nights in Ponyville were among the calmest in Equestria. It was silent enough to hear the chirping of a single cricket. And that gave a ninja excellent cover. Two ninjas were peering into the window seal of The Golden Oaks Library to check and see if their target had gone to bed already and her assistant was no where to be seen. Silent got a little nervous when she saw that Spike was still awake but Swift assured her that they could handle it. They also saw their target, Princess Twilight Sparkle, was now in her bed fully asleep.
“Excellent. She’s asleep.” Silent Flight whispered happily to her sensei. The two ninjas then started to talk out their plan. “What should we do about Spike?” Slight Flight asked. Swift Dash considered her options and although their target was Twilight it would be much easier if Spike didn’t interfere as well.
“We need to ensure Twilight can be taken out of here without a fight. You knock out Spike and I’ll grab Twi’.” She responded. Silent Flight simply nodded as she pulled a small ruby from her pocket. She then slipped into the shadows and made it into the tree house. Silent crept along towards Spike, making sure her steps never made a sound, and soon came to the door outside of which contained the drake. Quickly, she proceeded to make sure the room wouldn’t make any noise while she made her little plan. She turned towards the door entrance.
“Step two, ready.” She silently said as she tossed the ruby onto the doormat leading to the library’s entrance. The noise was only loud enough to ensure Spike heard it and sure enough his ear fins started to shuffle and his head shot up soon after. He turned towards the the entrance and saw the ruby laying in front of it.
“What’s that doing out here?” Spike asked himself as he walked over to the gem, making sure he didn’t touch any squeaky boards on the ground and wake up the lavender alicorn upstairs. He then made it over to the ruby and picked it up.
“Who’d leave a perfectly g-MMPH!” He released a muffled shout as Silent quickly got him into a sleeper hold. She used her powerful legs to try to hold him in place as her arms and hands held over his neck, making him lose some air. Silent had to admit that Spike was a tough struggler. She’d never held anypony like that it was almost like wrestling an alligator.
“Shh shh it’s almost over Spike just go to sleep now please.” She asked him in a motherly tone. The drake struggled some more but soon felt his eyes grow heavy and finally he passed out. Silent made sure to place him down gently in his bed so as not to arouse suspicion. She looked up at the roof and signaled her sensei that her part was done. Swift Dash then started her part of the plan by trying to wake up her friend. She wondered to herself what she could do to awaken her and it came to her. Taking a throwing star, she aimed inside of the Library and threw it, hitting a loose book and making it fall. It made enough noise to wake the lavender Alicorn. Twilight soon got out of bed and went down to check the disturbance.
As soon as she made it to the last step she saw the book that fell down and bent over to pick it up. But as she did this she also saw a slight flash as something shiny glimmered in the moonlight. The librarian walked over and picked up the object and saw that it was a strange four curved point object. As she observed it, she accidentally moved her finger over a sharpened point, cutting it and making her drop the object.
“Ah.” She said as she placed her slightly bleeding finger in her mouth. She ran over to her bathroom to grab a bandage. But she did not notice the blue ninja who quickly zoomed into the building. Swift Dash then pulled from her back pocket a rag and a small bottle of Chloroform.
“Sorry about this Twi’.” She said before she tilted the bottle into the rag. She then quickly and stealthily made it to the bathroom and grabbed Twilight, forcing the rag over her mouth. Twilight started to release muffled screams as she struggled to break from the ninja’s grip. But Swift was stronger than Twilight giving her an advantage. Slowly, the chloroform did its work as Twilight slowly started to stop struggling. But that didn’t mean she was not about to quit. The lavender alicorn used whatever energy she had left and put it into her horn and teleported a short distance from her attacker.
When she was away from her assailant, she felt weak from the chloroform but was able to see a blue blob. Swift Dash watched as Twilight prepared her horn for a magic blast. But Swift dodged it and when she neared Twilight, she pressed on a pressure point on her neck, causing her to go limp. The ninja sighed as she picked up the limp princess and placed her over her shoulder. Swift then gave the signal to Silent Flight that it was all clear. The apprentice noticed it as she flew over to the window and opened it. The two then gently moved Twilight through the window and when she was fully through it, Silent closed it and began to move with an unconscious Twilight on her shoulder.
“How am I supposed to move silently if I have her on me?” Silent asked her sensei.
“Don’t worry. I have a way.” She said as she pulled out a small, rune covered stone from her hand.
“What’s that?” Silent asked.
“A little gift from Sensei. It’ll allow anypony to teleport where they want.” Swift replied. She held the stone out in her palm and it started to glow as it surrounded her and the other two mares and they soon were transported back to the dojo. Swift told Silent to grab a kimono from the closet and make sure that Twilight was covered with it. Silent then took Twilight to one of the rooms and began her work. Meanwhile, as Dash changed from her uniform, she heard a voice.
Rainbow Uzimaki Dash. A familiar voice echoed. Rainbow, out of surprise, turned to see who spoke but saw nopony not even the bright light that followed it last time.
Who is that? And why is he talking to me? And how does he know my full name?
